There are a bunch of characters I probably didn't do justice to in Book 4. Hopefully I can give some of them more time to shine in the edits, and maybe prune out or combine others.

Despite my best efforts, Undermind hasn't been immune to the problem that plagues most long-running series: they get bogged down by the scale of their conflicts and their growing cast of characters as time goes on. I want the world-hopping aspect of this story to be a kind of counter to this. Although it's sad to say goodbye to some of these characters (good riddance to others), it's a relief to be able to press the reset button and narrow the focus in the next phase of the story. And there's always a chance some of the characters we left behind (living or dead) could pop up again in unexpected places...
