Fred “Move it, Daniel”
Daniel “What about the civilians, we can’t just leave them, we have to warn them.”
Radio operator *click* “This is Alpha squad to the mothership, come in, over”
Fred “we don’t have the power, Daniel”
*szszsz* “This is Mothership, we hear you Alpha, over” *szszsz*
Radio operator *click*” we have the package, over”
Daniel “why is his life more important than theirs”
Fred “just stick to the mission Daniel, we don’t have the luxury to care about civilians anymore”
Daniel “what happened to you, man”
Sarah “Daniel, we don’t have time for this shit we need to leave”
Radio operator “Mothership, we have cleared the city 40km south and are on rendezvous towards pickup”
Mothership “Alpha, we have discovered a Xian H-33 en-route to city, over”
Radio operator “fuck… guys we need to move out now, an enemy bomber on its way towards the city”
Fred “fuck, let's move it people, and not another word from you Daniel”
The team made its way towards the rendezvous, as they were getting aboard the dropship, Fred was looking in the direction of Jakarta when suddenly a blinding light was seen in the distance, and night turned today, causing Fred to white out and seem to lose consciousness.
***
When the light receded and his eyes adjusted, he could hear strange voices around him. He was looking at the ceiling, where he could see the bulb, but it didn’t seem to be the usual brightness, allowing him to look straight at it without straining his eyes. He couldn’t seem to move his head much and felt like a giant hand was supporting it. He could feel his arms, but they didn’t seem to react to his motor commands.
Fred was starting to panic, he couldn’t feel his Esper powers, and his emotions were not being regulated by chemical controls, that he was used to. ‘Did I die?’ The last thing he remembered was being ripped apart from the black hole. No, there was something after that. Pictures, but they were fuzzy. He started getting a headache as he tried to focus on them.
Fred was jolted back to reality as he felt his body moving. Suddenly a sharp spike of pain shot through his body coming from his rear, Fred hadn’t felt that much pain in years, the tides of battle numbing his pain receptors, toughening up his body. But this, this pain reminded him of his youth, when he wasn’t that experienced with getting hurt. Then another one, this time Fred wanted to cry, and so he did, a 300-year-old war veteran, crying like a baby from getting his butt hurt, but Fred couldn’t hear himself cry, instead all he heard was a baby cry, and then he was turned around to face a giant, he froze, just staring eye to eye with this giant, mouth agape in shock, this giant seemed to be a mature-looking woman in an olden style maidservant clothes, the giant seemed to be holding him close to her breasts as she looked at him, then she turned to look at something behind him.
“M* L*d*, y*** bab* do***’t **** t* *** *n ***m*n **** ot*** bab*** * **ve de**ve**d, *ut, * c**n*t *** **th**g ****g **** **m, w***d *** **k* t* ***d **** s** ** s****d * g*t t** d**t**”
Fred could barely make out what she was saying but noticed recognisable sounds, he was then on the move with the giantess toward whomever she was talking to, a bed was coming into his view from behind as he walked past and then Gentilly transferred to someone on top of said bed. When he got to look at the new giant, he was shocked to find out she was someone he recognised, only he swears she wasn’t that tall the last time he saw her. He was certain she was smaller than him if only he could recognise where he had seen her.
The new woman grabbed his arm gently by the wrist and brought it up to her to have a look, only this allowed Fred to have a look as well, it looked like a baby’s hand,
‘What…
What…
What the hell is this.’
‘Is this…
Is this what I think it is…
Have I been reincarnated?
Fuck me’
Fred seemed to have gone tired after this, it looks like his new body had very low stamina.
***
When Fred opened his eyes, it seemed to be early morning, quite early, in fact, the light was just starting to peek through the drawn curtains, he seemed to have fallen asleep in the bosom of whom he could only guess was his mother. She lay there, eyes closed, a relaxed smile on her face and a slight glow of joy, radiating off her. He wouldn’t believe it if someone told him she was past her teens, heck she looked closer to 15 than 20. He could slightly turn his head and noticed there were two posts at the visible corners of the bed, he could only assume this was the same for all four. That would make this a four-poster bed with thick curtains tied to the posts while a layer thin enough to show silhouettes to the outside, but thick enough to hide details enclosed the bed. He couldn’t tell if the thick ones were just for decorations or it was currently summer where he was.
There was a little gap in the middle of the light curtains where they met, allowing him to look out, the room seemed spacious for a bedroom but probably smaller than a classroom. He took a closer look at the clothes they were wearing and the bedsheets. They didn’t seem modern or manufactured, he was able to tell they were handcrafted, quite well in fact but, he could notice that the tools weren’t comparable to his era. The place had a very medieval vibe to it.
He looked up to see his mom’s face but noticed she was awake and just watching him, which gave him a startle. Then her warm smile turned into a grin, and she giggled noticing his surprise to see her awake.
***
Isabella was slowly waking up but felt a pair of curious eyes stare at her for some time, it didn’t seem hostile, and then the feeling went away. She opened her eyes and looked in the direction of where she felt the stare, it came from her newborn son, it seems he was looking around the room discovering the new world around him. The warmth and joy she felt watching him explore was something she never felt before, the midwife had caused her to worry last night, stating that there was an abnormal reaction coming from him. But she believed in her son, maybe it was a mother’s foolishness or maybe her guts were right she didn’t know. But one thing was for certain, this was her son, and she was his mother.
She lay there for a good 5 minutes watching her son visually explore the room, then as he was looked back at her he froze in shock, looking guilty as if he had been caught with his hands in the biscuit jar, it was so cute that she just started giggling.
***
Fred lay with his mother for a few minutes just enjoying the company when his belly started rumbling, come to think of it he hadn’t eaten anything since he had gotten to this world and a newborn baby needed constant feeding to grow up healthy, he was wondering what sort of foods this world would have, being medieval he presumed it might be rye bread or wheat bread, then he came to a realisation, he was a newborn baby, which means… which means.
He looked at his mother with hesitation. ‘it’s a normal, natural process, just a normal bodily activity between a mother and her newborn.’ Fred hesitated for a bit ‘maybe I can get other food,’ ‘how do I even go about that,’ ‘no this is her baby, she has the right to enjoy motherhood and bond with her son.’ Fred remembered reading an article about how important motherly bonding was and, even though he had taken over this body it was still her son, he was still her son. So, Fred worked himself up the courage to go through with it when he suddenly remembered another problem, a big problem. ‘How do I ask for food.’
After a few seconds of remembering what normal babies do for food, as in just crying and hoping she knows what he wants. It was time to start crying, he almost choked on embarrassment, but luckily his mother either didn’t notice or didn’t care that his crying was weird, probably not expecting a newborn baby would fake cry. But finally, he managed to get a meal.
***
Sometimes afternoon, by that time he had been fed twice, his mother had to leave the room leaving the maidservant to watch over him. This allowed him time to think of what was happening.
‘Is this like one of those isekai novels, like the ones I’ve read in my downtime, does that mean I get some cheat shit or something, wait am I in a book, damn, wait that could be convenient maybe I can time skip out of this baby phase?’ ‘Time skip, go…’
10 seconds later,
‘Well fuck maybe I'm, not in a book. How long does it take for babies to become functional again, 3, 2 years, well let’s hope it’s less?’ ‘Do I have anything special about myself that came from this world, like magic power or something,’ ‘wait my Esper powers, where’d they go, o year I need to realign neural pathways again, that’s going to be annoying? Well, I’ve experienced it before and I should be able to do it at an earlier age, while my brain is a lot more malleable.’
‘Ooo, do I have a game sheet, o what are they called again,’ ‘status’
Suddenly a blue screen popped up before him

‘Holy shit, am I in a game world, this… is… awesome…’
‘Hmmm… why is the spare points locked, does the + button give more info’
As Fred was focusing on it a new screen emerged.
Spare points Locked
To safeguard uninformed choices, spare points are locked until the life form starts pubescence growth, it is believed this timeframe is the most optimum time to allow children to learn or be taught the weight of making such irreversible decisions while being accessible early enough for the survival of the individual and advancement of the race.
Fred thought it was a wise decision but felt a bit of dread, who or what decided this and why did it sound so primal. Fred figured he wouldn’t get an answer any time soon so decided to move on

Fred started crying, causing the maidservant to come running over, ‘does he need his nappy changed, I hope he’s not hungry the lady has a lot going on at the moment she picked him up and gently bounced him in her bosom “there there Freddy, let's check your nappy to see if you’ve had an accident.

‘No, I can’t die just yet, Britain must be free from these French bastards. Quick lady, summon the army.’ ‘Fuck, I can’t communicate it’s just coming out as crying, err, I'm, getting tired from all this crying. Man, I hate being a baby.

The Choice is Not Yours
Author's Note: (As of November 20, 2021) I rewrote all the chapters perhaps more than a year ago, but haven't announced that I did so. Because that kind of announcement would include something along the lines of, "I'm working on the story so expect new chapters!" But the truth is, I lack motivation to do anything. And I would hate myself if I broke a promise. I'm extremely sorry if you have been patiently waiting for uploads. These days, I've been studying, not well, but studying somewhat. I will definitely bring more to show, with regular uploads. If not this story then there's another story I've been writing that's really exciting to me. It's not exactly similar to this story since it has a male lead and he is a baneful asshole with even less morals. I hope you'll like it when it comes to existence. And I'll leave my announcement off with the aforementioned promise. Meet Amber, a tomboyish, unstable, and cheeky lass who likes to keep to herself. According to her, she'll live the rest of her life on auto-pilot mode, awhile holding onto the few things that make her remotely happy. However, she forgot that people never really leave you alone, be it humans or even the Gods. And exactly that happens, ending her monotonous life on such the Gods' whim. But at what cost to her? Will she be able to hold onto the things she holds dear? Or will she fail miserably and lose herself in the process? That's what the Gods want to know. Disclaimer: I do not own the cover photo.Warning: If you are easily triggered, I am not writing this novel for you.

Children of the Halo
A thousand years have passed since the signing of the Pact: an historic agreement between the nations of the Pactlands to work for the betterment of the whole. But in recent years, the Empire of Vector has been growing more bold, submitting a claim for the long-contested Disputed Lands. When a young and inexperienced noblewoman ventures into the anarchic territories the residents call the Free Lands in an effort to discover what Vector is plotting, the last thing she expected to find was a City of Wonders. On a fateful summer morning, the Vancouver Island town of Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada finds itself and its very residents thrust sideways from the world they know to the medieval Pactlands: a world ruled by a shadowy council of mages and governed by the laws of steel and influence. Cut off from their own world, the residents of this small cottage town are thrust knee-deep into the political, humanitarian and martial turmoil suffered by the residents of the Free Lands. Staring down the threat of the Vectoran claimant force, the hidden machinations of the High Magus Council, and desperately seeking the allies and resources they need to maintain their way of life, the residents of Ladysmith must use everything they have at their disposal to survive and claim their own place in a world they were not born to. Magic, intrigue and eight thousand Canadians. What could go wrong? Updates every Tuesday and Thursday.

Neophyte: Common Route
A story about self-discovery, interpersonal relationships, magic and magical creatures-- and a silent war. Marsha is about seven years past adulthood and still feels like a scared child in her parents' home. This is exacerbated when she discovers her father has apparently keyed up his destructive, sadistic habits-- leading to a mad dash out of the house with precious cargo in tow and only one idea where to go. This begins her journey, leading to a discovery that will change her life forever. And she never wants to go back. (Warnings: Lots of descriptions of abusive, sadistic and otherwise traumatizing and triggering behavior that a parent perpetuated toward a child or multiple children. Descriptions of violence, a main character with emotional issues that will be dealt with, and a whole lot of the 'aftermath' of battles in a war. Even a few descriptions of some of those battles. Things of that nature. If you can't handle one of those, please do not read.) {I had this idea to write a 'common route' and then 'romance routes' like they do in otomes? Book 1 is the common route, and then at book 2, you choose your love interest. Each of which is encased in their own book.}
