He was happy because he can increase his magic points now, he started to cover the potion with his magic power. He then drew it from the cauldron, the potion was floating in the air. He then took out a tube and started to pour the potion in it. It took him a couple of minutes to fill everything in the tube.

He then closed it and waited for the people coming to take out the two bodies on his flower, after waiting for a while three people came in, they all looked human but they had something different about them, some of them had ears like wolves and tails and some had scales instead of skin. They were called beastkin, they were from another planet, when the magus conquered their planet they then took everyone as slaves.

That was the magus strategy after the great war, they started to enslave everyone on the planet they took. They won’t let them cultivate and they are destined to be slaves for the rest of their life. The reason why the magus decided to enslave everyone on new planets they take is still unknown, but there are some theories about it in some books. But nothing is solid about it.

The three beastkin entered the room, they first kneeled to Adrius and then started to lift the bodies and went out with them, it took them only 5 minutes to clean the room. The beastkin were stronger physically than humans so they worked mostly as carriers. And the academy had a lot of them as slaves, there were also a lot of other races as slaves and servants at the academy.

After everything was clean Mary stood before Adrius and was waiting for Adrius to say something, Adrius then took out a stamp and stamped a paper: “ Go to the person who is responsible for servants and give him this and he will give you a room, clothes and a identity badge, understood?”

Mary nodded and said: “ Yes Master”

“Good, now you can leave. And don’t bother me until I contact you” Said Adrius with a dismissive tone.

After Mary walked out of the room, Adrius closed it with his shadow hands and sat cross legged.

He then opened the potion tube and drank it, suddenly a surge of power surged through his body. He started to meditate quickly so he could absorb all of the magic before it disappeared.

Meanwhile Mary was lost in the academy, Adrius didn’t give her directions so she got lost. After a while she found her goal, it was a building and there was a sign on it that says “The servant hall”. She walked in and saw different counters. She walked to one and the person that was behind the counter was a man with rabbit ears, it was a beastkin. It was not unusual for a beastkin or any other races from other worlds to take such jobs, if they reached the qualifications then they would get the job.

The man behind the counter saw Mary come in and he asked: “ How can I help you miss?”

Mary was a shy girl and found it hard to speak to other people thus she was anxious and stutters a lot when she answered: “M.. my Master sent me here to g..get registered”

The man behind the counter had his professional face on, and didn’t laugh. It made Mary less anxious because everyone in her village used to laugh at her when she spoke. The man then said: “ Do you have something to confirm your master’s identity?”

“ Yes, he gave me this and told me you would understand what it means.” Mary then took out the paper Adrius gave her, she then gave it to the man behind the counter. The man took it and opened it, then suddenly Mary heard her master's voice come from the paper.

“ I Adrius Caseo can confirm that this girl is my servant,” Said the voice.

The man behind the counter then wrote her master’s name, then he looked at her: “ What is your name?”

“Mary”

“ Don’t you have a surname?”

“No I don’t” Answered Mary, she had one but this was her old life. So she wanted to forget about it, Adrius said that he will free her when time comes. But her Mother and Father were dead, her sister too, so she didn’t have anyone to come back to, so she decided to move on. And maybe she will like the life of a maid and Adrius will take her in?

“Okay, I will be back” Said the man as he stood up, he took the paper too. The man was wearing a nice suit but there was something that caught Mary’s attention, when the man walked out she saw a white pulp on the man’s lower back. The suit was designed to have a hole where the tail was in.

Mary had the urge to touch the man’s tail, but then she realised how inappropriate that was and she blushed because of it.

After five minutes the man came back and gave Mary a key and a ring. The ring was made of silver and had a picture of a snake hissing, the snake was black and had red eyes. That was Adrius soul stamp, with this stamp anyone can connect with Adrius. He chose snakes because snakes and poison go together and he also likes snakes a lot. As for the colors he just thought it was cool.

The man then looked at Mary and said: “ This ring is the way your master can connect with you, so don’t lose it. If you want to connect with your master then you just have to rub the ring two times and you should connect with your master if he wants. And this is your room key you will find everything you need in there”

“Thank you” Said Mary while walking out. She then headed to the dorm that was not far away from the building and entered her room, it was a room perfect for one person, there was a good bed, a reading table, a shower and a closet. She opened the closet and found it filled with servant clothes, she tried one and it was perfect. She didn’t get any message from Adrius so she went to sleep. It was night after all. And she was stressed from everything that happened today.

Back at Adrius’s room he opened his eyes, there was joy in them. He has reached 19 points, he was only one point away from advancing. But he didn’t want to advance now because everyone who has reached rank 2 magus apprentice that will participate in the yearly exam are stronger than him who has only advanced 3 months ago. So he will try to break through after the exam, he was sure that no one can kill him in this exam he can maybe lose to someone but he can still get out alive.

Then out of nowhere a sharp pain struck Adrius, the pain came from his eyes. It was like someone carving out his eyes with a fork. He ran toward a mirror he had, then he saw something that made his jaw drop. His eyes started to lose their color and he also started to lose his vision, he thought that he made something wrong, so he took out his contacts book and contacted Croft.

“What is it Adrius?” Said Croft’s voice

“ Professor I lost my vision after drinking the potion!”

“ That’s all? Don’t worry it is just temporary you will get it back in five minutes” Answered Croft laughing, he really found amusement when Adrius was panicking.

Adrius then closed the call and waited for 5 minutes and his vision did come back, he then walked to the mirror and was a little surprised. His eyes have become all black without white, it has changed color from brown to black.

He really looked like a soul eating demon right now.
