Master Of Voracious Beasts Chapter 239

The slave Merilda suddenly lifted her two arms slowly. Soon, a shadow of wings of cicada appeared on her back. When the wings are in full-scale view, they crumbled and spread out to the surrounding environment.
If Jomel is here outside with them, he would notice that the surrounding became clean and purified without the smell of sulfur or any toxic substances in the air.
"Good job, teacher Merilda." Was praised by the one acting leader.
"No problem, your highness," Replied merilda. She is a basic-looking human and a teacher in a section of the Scorpion Kingdom where non-morphers are learning. Due to being excellent in combat, the one acting as a leader was gifted by any kind of request, and his request is to recruit her, a person who's capable of purifying any kind of environment they are in.
He had learned about this part will a queen type of xenomorphic will be born. This, he is here with a team because some scenarios might happen; he needs a backup.
He is here to subdue this xenomorphic thing to be. It is a test given by his family, and if he ever failed, their ranks as a royal family ruling class would deteriorate.
Of course, he invited those who are the most excellent ones. These two are the best he could think of at the anthromite level.
There are other excellent ones but their families are backing them. These two don't have families backing them and they are excellent, plus he sure that he can subdue them.
"Barak!"
The other one who spoke is the confident-looking guy with long black hair. Suddenly, one of the two slaves at the back came forward like an obedient dog.
Crashed!
Like a savage crashed like a meteor in front of the confident-looking guy, and he roared. 'Excellent' the confident-looking guy praised the savage.

The savage looks like a normal ba'ia human, but hi's back is wide and his muscles are huge like a monster, his tooths are sharp-looking like a cave dweller and he looks like he is not in his right mind.
"Barak! search" He commanded the savage to smell the whole area and check if they are the only one in here. They didn't like it if they were ambushed by the weaklings that have the guts to, just because they are careless.
The savage-looking ba'ia used his nose and fondant gaps between Jomel. He pointed to where the toxic gaps were and attacked! He rushed at a blinding speed, leaving cracks from where he came from and...
Bang!
Fortunately, Jomel is not inside of that thing, or he would have been hurt by that attack. It was quite strong and made the wall tremble due to the tremendous force created by that punch.
"That's good, That's good." The confident-looking guy is smiling and nodding at how his slave act. This is a slave named Barak he met during his first venture outside with his family. It is a ba'ia but on different walls. His superior, who built him and helped him to be the man who he is now, gifted him this savage.
They are special ba'ia who could not be taught but can only be tamed; they don't have a bug kingdom to build them and make them be organized, so living in the wild with constant danger and death made them pretty savage.
They have special fighting skills too and they act like a wild bug beast. Fitting for them to be enslaved by ba'ia's warrior just like him to do the course they don't want to or the best cannon fodder in things like this exploring.
They can only be fed by bug beasts' meat even if it's not enough for them, so having them is pretty easy but...

Suddenly, everyone became alert, even the smiling, confident-looking guy became serious. 'Just what happened? Don't tell me he is poisoned, but poisons are not new to them 'savages' and they can resist it if it's not strong enough.' his thoughts were cut off when...
Barak painfully groaned after taking his arms back from the gaps he created in the wall.
Howl!
It's usually looking savage countenance transformed into despair and horror. From his arms, everyone could see that something is crawling up to it fast, and soon the substance covered the savage's whole body that was now emitting a foul smell.
"Merilda, Use purify concept." The acting leader called out and to the so-called merild''s experience, she cast another move.
Woosh!
Soon the foul smell disappeared due to her doing. But Barak is still in his painful state. His arms and his feet are slowly looking like he is being corroded by some sort of stuff that is turning him slowly into an unknown black substance.
"What a potent poison." The one acting as a leader is not new to these kinds of stuff, he can pretty well recognize what is poisonous things and not.
'That must have been a terror of being who left that poison here just like the bug beast I chose as my morpher's base power.' He thought. It was only his estimate, but often than not he knew that this thing must have been left behind by some pretty dangerous bug beast.
"Rel..." The cloaked individual spoke to the last slave. The last slave is named Rel, a little looking man who was wearing an outfit like he is some kind of magician.
"Yesh, master!" The slave happily jumps and with his little broomstick, he cast something and with a...
Whoosh!
A healing wind stopped the corruption of poison inside Barak. The wind healed the bark, and it jumps in the air because of the happiness it felt.
The acting leader guy, looked at the little boy with interest, he is thinking, 'After this, I will enslave this one too' then to avoid being noticed by his subordinate who is in a cloak. He stopped observing the little ba'ia boy with interest.
Angry, Barak smashed another one of the poisonous gas, and this time with the help of the little ba'ia boy, he is healed and continued destroying the poisonous gaps that Jomel created.
There were only three of them and the first one was destroyed and soon it was now the gap where Jomel was.
When Barak was about to break and smashed the wall together with Jomel inside.

Beyond the Veil
Martin's life would never be the same. He somehow survived a massacre by shady men in black, only to discover they were conspiring with the police. What was he going to do now? But where one life ends, another life begins. One that will learn of magic, and the world beyond the veil. This is a complete rewrite of my first story, The World Beyond the Veil. This is not the same story. Not even a single sentence has been copy-pasted from the original fiction. Readers of the original will recognize a lot of elements, but there are more and more differences as the story progresses. The fiction is planned as a trilogy. The first volume is published. Regarding one of the tags:Sexual Content: There are no explicit sex scenes in the story. On the other hand, it is definitely a story meant for an adult audience, with plenty of references to sex and genitalia. If you're not comfortable with that, maybe steer away from this story. I am very interested in feedback. Let me know if you spot a plot hole or something else that seem off to you.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.
