In the meantime, here's my recommendations for some good things to read (both webnovels and books, links will be in the note at the end):
Jade City by Fonda Lee- Love mafia/gangster stories? Here's one set in an Asian-inspired city. Jade City follows a family that leads a clan of drug-enhanced fighters (Jade is a drug that gives you access to cool magic stuff), and the characters, world building, and plot are top notch. This series is probably my favorite read this year or close to it.
Super Powereds by Drew Hayes- College for superheroes. Do I even need to explain? The cast is super lovable, and the growth here is incredibly fun.
Desolada- This one is a webnovel right here on our lovely Royal Road. Many of you have probably read it (Cratom3, I've seen you in the comments), but the setting here is so unique. In a world of eldritch horrors, our MC has time powers that see him in the midst of a strange war between god-like beings. The mystery here is very compelling.
Spellmonger series- I've been reading this one for years (currently on the latest book), and it's definitely one of my favorites. Minalan is a magi, a wizard, and not a particularly strong one. Until a horde of goblins strong enough to threaten his whole country barrels down on him with special rocks that amplify magic power. This one is great for kingdom building and well thought out magic. Plus Minalan is a super compelling main character.
Virtuous Sons- Another webnovel. I love all things Ancient Greece and Rome, and I love all things cultivation. When you combine them, well... It's pretty good.
Some more popular recs that I didn't want to write about because you've probably heard about them:
The First Law series, Red Rising, Infinite Realm, Blood Song, The Rage of Dragons, Beware of Chicken, Cradle, Night Angel trilogy, and A Thousand Li.

Restless Wanderers
The age of giants has come and gone. Now, reduced to little more than 1/20th of their previous size, humanity survives among the ruins of a world they had once sought to dominate. Standing an average of four to five inches tall, the people of this gigantic world must contend with the reality of their position. Placed at the bottom of the food chain, surrounded by predators and at the mercy of the elements, they struggle to form lives, forge empires, and prove that the larger the world – the greater its legends. Book I – The Perfect Sacrifice: Hired to kill a psychotic recluse, a five inch tall sell-sword begins to suspect that his employers are not what they appear. Book II – The Cheated Thief: As empires clash, a young thief with nowhere left to turn is sucked into the maelstrom of war. Book III – Katorga’s Chains: After a chance encounter, Az and Rhea set sail on a mysterious ship overladen with its own horrific secrets.
