《Story of Vita》The Forest King / Chapter 38

Haha, such a easy victory for someone like me. Now then, dungeons usually have like a treasure chest at the end or something cool. Where is it?
Vita walked around the walls of the room. The room itself had a round shape, with one entrance. But that didnt matter. If something might be missing, look for it.
Sending out long, sensitive hairs from the various bugs Vita ate, it didnt take long to find something that didnt quite fit in with the room. At the bottom of a segment of the wall, there was a lip with enough space to put some fingers in.
With a heave and a puff, Vita dramatically lifted the wall up as dust and sand fell down. The new entrance was completely different area from the previous one.
The first part of the dungeon had a clean, boring grey look to it. Now? It was a musty dark colour. Mold grew in different spots and there was dust in the air.
Examining the particles breathed in, the dust was a mixture of. Well, dust. But there was also a tiny bit of mold spores in the air. Nothing too dangerous to Vita, but the mould wouldnt have a problem spreading if the right conditions were met.
Storing some of the DNA, Vita continued down the new musty corridor. On the left wall of the corridor, an opening led into another room. This room kinda looked like a bedroom of sorts. The quite disgusting looking bed with more mold growing on it. There was also a night stand next to it as well. The room was quite low-key and small.
However, Vita quickly noticed a certain leather-bound object. It was a book!
A book! Oh, the sweet colletion of knowledge! What secrets do you hold! Is it the secrets to live? Or maybe it will teach me how to use magic! Open sesame!

Vita held the book and opened it, only to reveal a language that Vita didnt understand. It looked like odd scribbles that gradually turned into messier and messier scribbles as the pages went by. There were some nice drawings too, but they didnt really say or mean much either.
Vita tried to understand the language, but to no avail. But simply leaving the book here would be a waste, so Vita made a small pocket to put the book inside.
Vita left the room and continued down the corridor. As Vita walked down the corridor, a faint echo tickled Vitas ears. It sounded like a groan of sorts. Something was either in pain or was getting freaky with a more quiet something. Slowing down as the sound got louder, the sound was easier to understand. It was definitly the sound of something in pain.
There, in a much larger room than before, stood a bipedal creature wearing a hood and cloak. The surrounding walls had countless cages with various animals and monsters. Most of the monsters looked like they were dying inside, some like they were actually dying, but a few of them looked surpisingly healthy. In front of the cloaked figure, there was a table of some sorts with another humanoid figure on it.
No no, wait a second. That is an actual human! Holy moly they exist! If I manage to get my multiple limbs on its brain, I could get an understanding of this world. But who is the cloaked figure, another human? Or one of those liches they write about in their fantasy books? Gonna have to wait and see whats going to happen.
The human struggled with its chained hands and legs. Their face clearly filled with fear. It was a young male with a small stubble on his chin. With his mouth gagged, he didnt manage to get any proper words out, only muffled noises. The young man had a decently muscular build, the sort an adventurer would have. But right now their body was covered with different wounds. The cloaked figure finally removed their hood, revealing a bony head with only skin to cover it. When the adventurer saw this, he started to panic even more.

The bony person lifted their hand and put a finger on the adventurers mouth while making a shushing sound. The sound didnt come out quite right, the voice sounded quite rusty. As if they havent spoken in a long time.
Vita didnt understand a word of what they said. But seeing the fear in the mans eyes becoming even greater and slowly turning into despair, Vita knew that the time to act was coming closer. The obvious bad guy finally finished their speech. Before Vita could react however, the bad guy did something that suprised Vita.
With one hand grasping the mans head, the bad guy stabbed directly into the space between the eyebrows. Blood started to spread around the mans face, as the blood started to drip down onto the table. Then, a purple light shot out from the mans eyes and mouth. The purple lights seemed to come out from the bony mans arms, as they had glowing veins traveling through them. After a while, what seemed to be a small soul flew out and entered the bony mans mouth. The bony man let out a creepy moan before the purple light spread further.
The flesh melted and bubbled of like the weird fatty stuff that appaers when you boil meat. The bubbly mess splattered on the ground. One of the monsters in the cave reached out with a long tongue and tried to lick up the disgusting mess. What was left on the table was a skeleton. The hole in its brow quickly healed.
The bony person was a necromancer. The necromancer gave a command to the new skeleton and sent it towards the corridor where Vita stood. When it got close enough, Vita reached out and crushed the skeletons head by bashing it into the wall.
The necromancer were stunned and stood there for a few seconds before stumbling back. The necromancer finally said something Vita could understand.
"W-wendigo" The necromancer used the table to balance themselfs while pointing a shaking finger at Vita.
Wait, how the fuck am I a wendigo? I am clearly much better than some bumbling and primitive creature like that. And Wendigos are a thing too? Thats actually pretty badass.

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
