XG 3 - Live streaming of the cannibalism

Pulling out her second mobile phone from her sling bag, she keeps the first mobile connected to the live streaming of the cannibalism going on. She had two mobile phones, with the second one used for gaming, and fortunately had its own SIM card that allowed her to make and receive calls.

The saying of students that studied in private school usually came from a rich family has its own truth. Parents will want their children to receive the best education, but what made the final decision was the money they had saved. Private school’s fees and school uniforms were more expensive than public schools.

Silently scolding Low Lin Ya that still standing there filming, she dialed Nurul Hanani's number, hoping she was not beside Low Lin Ya and foolishly watching the egg turning bad together!

But her hope was not meant to be fulfilled.

"Guo Guo, are you back home?" Nurul Hanani asked as soon as the line connected. Wong Xue Guo could hear loud noises coming from her end, including panicked screams. Low Lin Ya’s voice that was asking if this was real could be heard as well.

"Hani, get out of there!" Wong Xue Guo yelled. "Leave the idiot Low Lin Ya and just go!"

Wong Xue Guo and Low Lin Ya had known each other for five years as classmates, but their friendship took a long time before it started to grow, as both of them were almost polar opposite with their attitude and interest. Then Nurul Hanani enrolled in their school and joined them to be a trio, acting as the glue. However, Wong Xue Guo has a closer relationship with Nurul Hanani, who shared common interests with her.

In her heart, Nurul Hanani was more important than Low Lin Ya. If she could not choose both, at least have Nurul Hanani survive this!

"I can't leave without… Lin Ya, stop recording! Let's go!" Nurul Hanani's voice as she spoke to Low Lin Ya was one of fear, yet she did not leave her friend alone.

“Just a bit!” Low Lin Ya said excitedly, as this was the first time her streaming has this large number of viewers!

“For f*ck sake, Hani, just drag Lin Ya away!” Wong Xue Guo yelled over at the phone, but her two friends were awestruck with what they were seeing.

Most of the comments in the live stream were asking if this was an act, while some caught on that this was the latest infection announced in the news. Some egged Low Lin Ya to get closer, which invited hatred from the sensible watchers.

The live stream continues recording the woman that was biting the girl, with no one reaching out to help the poor girl. But the woman was no longer biting and had changed to eating the younger girl’s flesh, something the news had omitted from showing. The government must have cut off the final part of the videos to keep the public calm.

Wong Xue Guo felt her body went cold as the woman fiercely ripped apart the girl's flesh from her arm and swallowed it down hungrily. The crying girl struggled to crawl away, but the woman was strong, keeping her in place. The monster finally bites down the girl’s neck after losing interest with her food’s badly torn arm.

Eating humans was much more dangerous than biting!

But what was more terrifying, until Wong Xue Guo's hands started shaking, was that the girl being eaten had stopped moving after her neck was ripped off. It was impossible for her to survive that. Yet not long after, her body started to twitch, similar to a dead body seemingly moved from rigor mortis, only that the twitching gradually became intense.

"Hani, just go! Let her die if she wants to! Go before that woman change target!" Wong Xue Guo yelled when she saw the woman stopped eating the spasming girl, whose flesh was shrinking fast at the speed where naked eyes could see.

Just as she finished saying that, the woman stopped eating the girl and turned in the direction of the camera, revealing her mouth and shrunken chin that was bloody to the audience.

There should be quite a number of onlookers that had stayed to watch the cannibal show because she could hear different voices screaming as the woman, whose hair had increasingly gone white since the start of the live stream, charged towards them like someone without any sign of being clear-minded.

“Hani! Lin Ya!” Wong Xue Guo screamed just as the live stream abruptly ended when the screen showed that the phone had dropped to the floor. The call to Nurul Hanani was also abruptly cut off, and she hoped her friend had run away quickly.

Even if she was not at that place, it still scared Wong Xue Guo so much that she looked up from the phone and gazed around her peaceful cubicle. There was no one other than her inside the washroom now. If it was not because she knew that this video was real, it could be passed off as a horror film.

Shit, she was scared shitless!

Wong Xue Guo had entertained the idea of going out to help her friends, but it was only for a few seconds. Growing up, she learned to be a person that loves herself the second, with her parents as first. She hardly helped others, unless it benefited her, and preferred to be a lone wolf than being a social bee that would always have her ended up dog tired at the end of the day.

That was why her circle of friends was pitifully low.

Rubbing her face roughly with her palm, she swept her hands back and over her head. Her effort to contain her trembles failed, even if she firmly believed she did not owe her friends anything that would require her to sacrifice her life for them. She could not even protect herself. She did not call their phone to avoid distracting them, or willing to be the one that pointed out their hiding place. There was no knowing whether their mobiles were in silent mode or not.

With shaking fingers, she spammed the chat room with her mother with glaring spelling errors, asking where she was and telling her about the zombie outbreak.

"Don't die, mother," Wong Xue Guo whispered, clutching tightly onto her phone that was still on the chat page, without any response from her mother.

Should she go out and run to the entrance?

But she was afraid her mother would be coming from a different direction. Unfortunately, this was the first time Wong Xue Guo came to this new shopping mall to play and does not know all the exits. Her driver had dropped them earlier at the main entrance, which was the only exit she knew of.

Anxious of the danger her mother will meet when she arrives, she browses the social media after searching for Diamond mall, this building’s name. Indeed, there were some people that shared the same mind-set as Low Lin Ya and recorded videos of this rare incident in disregard for their safety.

But they also provided news on the current situation to her.

She clicked the latest video shared by a Facebook user and her pupils dilated when she noticed the antagonist of this video. She recognized the predator was that girl eaten in Low Lin Ya's live stream! She was no longer the victim and had joined the enemy camp!

Shit, the turning speed was too fast! It was not even fifteen minutes!

Her phone vibrated under her hand and she quickly looked at it. Her mother had replied!

Mother: Stay hiding inside the toilet. Don't go anywhere. No matter what you hear, don't go out. I'm coming.

Well, staying here does not sound bad at all! But how does her mother plan to enter the shopping mall, bypass the danger and make her way to the highest floor?

Wong Xue Guo does not know how many people had been bitten, or eaten, by that zombie-like woman. There should be many that had been infected and joined in to bite other people. At this rate, she does not know how many zombies have been made.

This shopping mall had entered the red alert zone, which was reported in the news a few seconds ago. The police were making their way here and intended to seal the exit, where no one was allowed to enter or leave the building.

How will her mother get in?

Her mother was only a rich housewife that was good at socializing, leading the trend, and doing charities. Her main concern was her appearance she obsessively maintained 24/7, just in case her husband would return home at a drop of hat, or to accept video calls from him.

Towards her husband that seldom came home, her mother was truly dedicated to him. If her father had not truly loved her mother, Wong Xue Guo would have long ago thought her mother was blinded by love.

Sincerely, Wong Xue Guo had nothing to complain about her parents who were still a loving couple even after eighteen years of marriage. She had only hoped they would show genuine concern to their only child.

Wong Xue Guo does not know whether she hoped her mother could arrive before the police blockage or not. She does not want to die, yet she does not want her mother to get into danger either.

She could only hope her mother intends to rescue her by ordering her bodyguards… wait!

As if being electrocuted, her whole body trembled once her mind connected pieces of clues from the conversation with her parents.

Her mother had been anxious and told her to hide.

Her father was telling her to find a weapon and to stab the 'enemies' through their hearts.

Could it be they know about the outbreak way earlier from their own channel? Or were they involved with the source of this disease? Was her father, the pharmacy chain owner, the boss behind the scene over a group of kidnapped scientists to create a strange drug that led to this disease?

Wong Xue Guo scolded herself for thinking too much. She had been watching too many apocalypse movies that made her think up a plot, with her father starring as the main villain in it, way too easily.

But she could not just ignore her doubts. The most positive, decent reason she could think of was her parents were notified by the government insider, likely about one of the infected had run out or escaped to this shopping mall.

There had to be a reason.

The peaceful environment inside the washroom was immediately shattered when the entrance door opened loudly. Her heart immediately flew and stuck in her throat in panic.

She was instantly relieved when the newcomers were two women with high heels which made a lot of noise. But what was even louder than their clacking high heels were their panicking cries and the repeated questions of 'why' and 'what's going on' as if answers would fall from the sky.

Ding! Pig teammates entered your team! ∑d(°∀°d)

Wong Xue Guo: '...' Should have locked the main door, ah!
