《Grandpa Sweet Fist》A Simple Villain- Prologue

Victor stepped out of the portal and found himself in an alley. He felt strangely fine. Usually, portal travel had him puking his guts out, but not this time. Either this portal was different, or his cultivation had truly made him stronger. Victor walked to the end of the alley and looked around. He saw Velocity Tower in the distance and realized he was still in Velocity City. He tried to look for a road sign, but there wasn’t any around. He just knew he was in one of the rougher neighborhoods.

Some of the streetlights were broken, and the streets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There were still people walking around though and Victor tried to see his descendent. He was told one of them was in danger, but he didn’t know where. Then he saw it. A small little diner called ‘Jennifer’s Place’.

“You got to be kidding me!”

Despite his disbelief, Victor began walking towards the diner. He approached the door of the diner cautiously and looked in. The interior décor was nice and tasteful. There was a long counter with an espresso machine and a display case containing pastries and sandwiches. Jennifer was behind the counter, along with the staff of the diner. There were several seating areas for customers and most of them were filled. It looked like a busy and popular diner. The customers were most probably here for some coffee and relaxation. If not for the two men in ski masks trying to hold up the place, the customers would have gotten them.

Silently sighing, Victor entered the diner. The gunman closest to the door immediately turned his attention to the old man who walked in.

“You! What are you doing?” He screamed a little too loudly. To Victor, it was a sure sign of nervousness. Victor could even see the gun in his hand shaking.

“Shit man, you were supposed to guard the door!” The second gunman shouted from the back.

“I need to-“

“Then you need an extra man.” Victor interrupted the pending argument between the two gunmen. Both looked at him in confusion. Victor could only shrug in response. He slowly made his way to the counter and imparted his wisdom to the two amateurs.

“You guys need someone guarding the door, to prevent people from coming in. This is a three-man job. One man at the door, one at the counter, and one man to shake down the customers. With just the two of you, one of you need to guard the door while the other do all the shake down. You can’t both be taking the money without security. A cup of black coffee please. No sugar.” He said the last part to Jennifer, trying to give her a look of assuredness.

“Who the hell do you think you are?” The nervous gunman at the counter came closer, pointing the barrel of his gun right at the temple of Victor’s head. The old villain could only shake his head in disappointment.

“They are range weapons.”

“What?” The confused gunman asked.

“Guns. Guns are range-“

Victor moved his head and grabbed the gunman’s waist, pushing the direction of the gun away from him. Nervous and distracted, the gunman didn’t realize what Victor was doing till an elbow hit him in the face. In the same move, Victor turned the gunman’s waist and put both his hands on the gun. He ripped the gun out of the gunman’s grasp.

“Shit!”

The other gunman saw what had happened and pointed his gun at Victor. Victor grabbed the first gunman and used him as a human shield. The second gunman hesitated. Victor had no such compunction. Or at least he wouldn’t have if he hadn’t seen the look on his daughter’s face. Jennifer looked horrified, and Victor immediately turned his gun around, and threw it.

It was a good throw, and the second gunman had to duck to avoid it. Victor grabbed the first gunman with both hands and used the qi within his body. The move was called The Bear’s Charge and Victor charged towards the second gunman using the first gunman as a shield. The first gunman screamed as they crashed into the second gunman. Victor didn’t stop and pushed on. All three men crashed into the wall of the diner. The two gunmen slumped to the ground, stunned.

“Sweet dreams.”

Victor gathered his qi and went to town. A few punches and a kick to the face later, both gunmen were out. Victor looked down at the two idiots and saw his handiwork. Two broken noses, a possible broken jaw, concussions; not a bad day’s work.

However, Victor felt unfulfilled. This was too quick, and too easy. He wanted more. Disappointed, he picked up the two guns and turned back to the diner. He saw the looks of the customers. They looked awed, and more than a little afraid. Victor immediately felt better. This was more like it! He missed this feeling. Victor walked back to the counter.

“Coffee.”
