What's up?
Not much. So what are you?
Cultivator, and I'm baller.
Awesome. I want your girl.
She can make her own choices. But I'm watching. Don't go too far.
…
…
“What's that?” Taylor asks.
“Oh, it's a new vacuum cleaner. This place stinks.” Daryl responds. “You've made a mess of the place.” He says.
“Awesome. Let me try it out. I should probably clean up.” Taylor says.
…
…
“What's that?” Daryl asks.
“It's a new juicer. More juice wouldn’t hurt, right?” Taylor responds.
“I got a few other things too." Taylor says. “And a few things are going to be delivered.” He says.
…
…
“Fuck, we have too much shit. We'll have to move to a new place soon. Somewhere a little more homely…” Taylor says.
“Hmmm… maybe I should find my own place.” Taylor says again.
“Why would you want to do that? I thought we were besties bro. Ride or die.” Daryl says with a laugh.
“I have a girlfriend, man. Having a private place to stay would probably be good.” Taylor responds.
“Fine.” Daryl responds. “But don't slow down the production. Now that people know this stuff exists, I don't think they can live without it.” He continues to say.
…
…
“Oh shit, here it is.” Taylor says to himself.
He opens the package to see a small rock. The other package had a stone bat.
Taylor immediately tried it out. He let his cultivation energy flow into the stone and felt it get heavier and heavier until it was difficult to lift.
“Awesome.” Taylor says.
There was also a note.
If you time the energy charge, it can get pretty heavy as you throw it. Much easier on the body. The same with the bat. If you time it right, the weight can increase at the end of the bat as you swing.

“Awesome. Doesn’t seem to shabby for a noob cultivator.” Taylor says to himself. “Now for the bat test.” Taylor says with a grin.
…
…
“Here we go. Boom!” Taylor says as the watermelon explodes from the crushing power of the bat.
“Rocked it. That was awesome.” Taylor says to himself.
“I wonder what else I can hit…” Taylor wonders as he looks for stuff to play with. “Or I guess I'll go cultivate…” Taylor says with a sigh.
He was almost not able to keep up with the demand for Burnout Water. Unfortunately there was no way he could produce more then he was already doing.
“Maybe I can trade the peaches for some Burnout Water. Other cultivators could do it; just not sure if there would be profit…” Taylor begins to wonder. But if he was being honest with himself, money was more useful than the peaches. The peaches restored cultivation energy at a fast pace, and it wasn't entirely useful for him given his lifestyle. He was content to live a normal life. He had no interest in finding treasure and having cultivator battles.
“I'll ask around.” Taylor confirms to himself. “It could be worth it.” He says.
…
…
How much Spiritual Water for a peach?
Man, why do you need Spiritual Water so bad. Just make your own. The peaches are worth way more.
Just let me know. I’m using it to make cash.
Lol. Whatever. Your loss. 10 Litres of Spiritual Water for a peach. What do you say?
Good to me. Thanks.
…
…
“You're upping production?” Daryl asks.
“Yup. Was hoping you could let the Demon Heart gang know. Not sure how high demand is.” Taylor says.
“Awesome, I'll let them know.” Daryl says with a grin as he imagined their future cash flow.

The Queen of School
Hi there, my name is Jason Corvus, you can call me Raven. My parents really (like a lot) wanted to have a boy, so when they found out that I was a girl, they still put me a boyish name. When my father was alive he always wanted to go to Tyndall Quantic Soren high school, but to the common people it was known as an elite school, but in reality, it is a school for those who are more than simple humans. My mother told me to fulfill his last wish and go to that school, but I am not that excited about it. Well, whatever. This time things seem more complicated than before, and I have no idea how long this time will last.

Eliot Ness for Mayor
An everyman tests his mettle when a Voodoo god, in the guise of a kindly crackpot, thrusts him back in time and into a violent riot. Ironworker Frank O'Brien digs his life: great wife, tight family, and a job he loves, raising skyscrapers for a firm whose owner he respects. Smooth going until his boss, the owner's grandson, stirs racial and labor tensions. Soon, Frank's fighting the good fight, and standing tall seems to work. He even manages a few allies until a Voodoo god mucks up the works, knocking Frank back to 1966 and into the center of Cleveland's Hough riots to test his mettle. Needless to say, getting back to see his little girl's youth orchestra recital's gonna be a bitch. ELIOT NESS FOR MAYOR is a short novel of magical-realist fiction, a stand-alone book in the Shantytown Cycle. Written for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), I will be posting revisions as I complete them and should be done by early 2022, though I am making major changes so the timing may be longer. This book is cross-posted on two websites: Wattpad and Royal Road. Both are reputable, high-quality sites. Do not trust this book on other websites. They "scrape" material from reputable sites, posting the stolen material as an original to lure users in, but contain links that include malicious code.
