《Los》2.3

Eve was in heaven. Not literally, but close enough. Fluffy bundles of adorable fur moved around her sniffing the new human arrival. They had been warned to be on their best behavior, which to be frank was essentially limited to not pissing on her. While she loved puppies, there were some parts of the experience that got a hard pass. On the other hand, the warm fluffy bundles did a great deal to heal the recent scars.

No wonder therapy dogs are the VA’s first choice most of the time. Eve mused as both hands continued to pet the bravest male and female puppy. She ignored how they were essentially sitting on her lap, elevating themselves above the others, and looking down with regal superiority at the masses.

When she started creating small paper toys for the wolf puppies to chase around was when Eve realized she had become a de facto Wolf Goddess. The tens upon tens of begging eyes when she mentioned she needed to do other stuff crushed her mental resistance so hard she worried Celestial Mind wasn’t effective.

Eh, what’s a few more hours of playing with the furry fiend slash puppies? Eve thought. I can always just hunt at night. Slightly more dangerous, that’s all.

Self-rationalization complete Eve started making custom paper toys for the tiny members of the Pack. The distraction was mostly to stop them from gnawing on her body. She kept a change of clothing in her inventory, but going nude was the new normal for now since it allowed her to use the chameleon traits to the fullest. Glancing at her Status it reflected the new concept of a Trait.

The fact that Map had been eaten by Celestial’s Five Senses was an interesting addition to her Status. It was pretty apparent that Celestial was an extreme prefix. Unless the Skill, Spell, or Trait was head and shoulders above Celestial level it would be ‘eaten’.

Considering that from what she remembered Celestial was usually linked to the Divine in some manner, Eve didn’t see the likelihood of that happening any time soon. With a mental shrug she moved back to more important matters, such as forming an army of paper minions to toy with her fluffy soul healing companions.

In order to keep herself of the bare dirt of the cave, Eve had crafted herself a bean bag seat while she played with the puppies. Since it was crafted from her paper, it was immune to the effects of small teeth and claws. She readily saw how anything that might be gifted to the puppies in the future would need such power. While they didn’t have the level of power of their adult counterparts, the small wolves were nothing to scoff at. Already their fur was changing colors denoting elemental affiliations.

Elemental breakdown seemed to favor wind first and foremost. After wind, earth had the highest representation. Fire and water seemed to have minimal representation among the wolves. Light and dark were even less represented, being that she had only seen one of each. The sole dark wolf she had seen watched her from the shadows, obviously a guardian of the Den. The sole light aligned wolf she met when introduced to the nursery guardians. Apparently the light aligned wolf was essentially the counter to the young’s teeth and claws. It allowed the puppies to practice real combat, without fear of death, maiming, or other such stuff.

Eve was extremely impressed to say the least. The Den felt a great deal like a combination between a tribe, and a para-military outpost. Mentioning the concepts to the adults while she had been playing with the puppies had resulted in laughter.

“To think your species became so dominant on your planet that they forgot this was the path since ancient times.”

That comment had made Eve remember that until the advent of agricultural methods of food supply, most of humanity had followed the same path. Such thoughts were too deep to hold onto while surrounded by cuteness though, so she simply filed it away. One of her brother’s notes suddenly came to the forefront of her mind suddenly when she touched upon the idea of someone enslaving such cute bundles of fur. She managed to continue controlling her paper army against the puppies before splitting her might to focus on it.

Do not seek to change the societies you will encounter.

Do not.

The slaves will not thank you for their freedom given time.

Think of it this way, Eve.

You have a simple job. You do it, and all your cares are taken away. Your basic needs are completely met.

And then some idiot comes along and sets everyone ‘free’.

Now you are starving in the street, far worse off than you were before. You have no life Skills that will feed you. You have no shelter. You have nothing except whatever you looted, or were given when set ‘free’.

There are bad slave owners. Just like there are bad drivers. Just like there are bad customers in retail.

Suck it up, and ONLY INTERFERE if you can follow the Rules while doing so. Because if one, single, small, slave child, or young adult, or cute teenage girl, or nice old lady is offered the chance to betray you for massive wealth, they will do it. They might also just be tortured until they give a complete description of everything they know about you.

I’ve seen it happen before Eve. You can’t save the world. You can only rule a piece of it so those things aren’t part of it.

And you can only rule with POWER.

I will assume you have landed on a Major or Prime world for the sake of my sanity.

The following levels are a GENERAL GUIDELINE:

Major:

Royal=Level 100

Royal Ancestor=500

Royal Progenitor=2500

Mythical Creatures=5k+(Not including children)

Dragon=7.5k+

The limit for a Major world is usually around 10k due to the Primal Energy Source Density(P.E.S.D.) and anything that enters above that quickly falls to that level.

Now, be very aware that while Level matters, so does Skill and Spell. It is extremely possible for a high Skill or Spell, or even a Domain user if one is around to literally shred higher Levels.

Especially a Domain user, and for more on that go hit the Domain section. (As you have realized by now some of my notes do not reveal themselves until you hit certain requirements.)

Prime:

Double the Major and there you have it.

Eve, if you got sent to a Prime World I cannot stress this enough.

Do not make any contact with civilization until you reach a minimum of Level 10k with control of a Domain, and Immunity to Mental control.

I’m not joking. I’m deadly serious.

Please, please, please Eve. Listen to your paranoid brother.

P.S. If you happen to ever meet a Dragon because shit happens first confirm if they are battle mad idiots.

If they are just nod, bow, and be servile beyond all belief. That will normally make them ignore you because that’s what people always do to them.

If, and this is a BIG if, they happen to be cold calculating bastards, or kind generous types, and be VERY SURE they are.

You can say this to them, EXACTLY as written here.

Tenebras consumit, qui elegit me in societatem perlicere iussus. Adiuua me, et retribuetur ei. Et aeternum oblivioni noces exemplum maxime errare potest errare.

Don’t try to speak it until you have some sort of language translating ability because if you screw it up things get real bad real fast.

The Darkness that Devours has chosen me as an ally. Aid me and be rewarded. Harm me and be remembered for all eternity as an example of the most erroneous mistake you can make. Eve mentally translated the line. Wow, does this make me a young mistress? I get to lean on my family backing, hah! Ok, yeah I have to meet a Dragon first, and yeah, I have zero plan for that, but it’s still neat!

“Bro, you’re a deep ocean sometimes, huh?” Eve murmured as she watched her paper army slowly be overwhelmed by furry enemies. When the last piece of paper was surrounded and ripped to shreds Eve simple re-created them all before storing the sheets in her inventory.

“No! Don’t look at me like that! I have to go!” Eve said, shielding her eyes from the glistening eyes of puppy sadness. With rapid retreat she escaped to the entrance of the Den before her willpower failed her.

“Heading home?” Fang asked as she exited the cave system.

“Yeah, I had a blast, thank you.” Eve replied as her body automatically started to blend into the surroundings.

“You are very popular with the puppies. The Den Guardians were thrilled to have so much time to themselves.” Fang said before turning to lope away.

“Eh? Wait? I was just used as a chew toy to distract the young so everyone could have time off?!” Eve said, her jaw dropping. “Unpaid intern, that’s what happened right there. Unbelievable. Even the wolves in a magical world follow the shady practices of big business!”

The destruction of her illusions dealt a crippling blow that was only mitigated by the memory of fluffy bundles that was now part of her mind forever. Another excerpt from Transport to Another World passed through her mind.

Being unable to forget is a two-edged blade Eve. Make sure it doesn’t cut the wrong way.

“So true brother. So true.” Eve thought as she sprinted off to follow Fang. The night was young and it was time to grind out some levels!
