《Rise of the Great Emperor 》Chapter 286: Master Blacksmith

Hu Fei played with a few balls that appeared out of nowhere. He pointed at the door. "Let's go to the living room. You need to treat your wounds or you're not going to be able to fight again tomorrow."
Lin Xiao: "…" he should have expected that the training would not end in one day.
Prince Lin San: "…" wait, there are more?
Princess Lan Yi Hua: "…" I would rather keep my moves a secret.
"You'll return back here for the first six days but on the seventh day, you'll stay in the inn and wait for the ambusher." Hu Fei stretched his fingers. "That way, your trace will be unknown. Anyway, state your elements, not yours, Yan."
Prince Lin Yan rolled his eyes. He glanced at the group in front of him. "Hu Fei is a blacksmith. Additionally, he has the third biggest armory in Hua Lan Kingdom."
"Who has the first and second?"
"The first is the Emperor and the second one is the War Minister." Princess Lan Yi Hua glanced at Lin Xiao. "The number of experts in Hua Lan Kingdom is not that much ahead of Sun Kingdom."
"There are no Golden Core Stage 4, right?"
"Yes."
The best cultivators in both kingdoms were only at Golden Core Stage 3. It was not known why it was like that but it would make it easier for Lin Xiao to take the throne in the future. He might be able to get it within a few years.
Inside Lin Xiao's consciousness, Lin Hu scoffed. There was actually something else that he had to tell Lin Xiao.
But….
It would be better to tell the brat when it was time. Just let him dream big that he could defeat the Emperor so quickly for now.

"To be able to become Golden Core Stage 4, there's some certain ritual or advancement factor that's required." Hu Fei then looked at them. "Hey, state your elements or I won't be able to help you find the necessary weapons."
"Lake."
"Wind and darkness."
"Fire and light."
"Darkness."
Hearing them all stated such rare elements, Hu Fei nearly tripped on the ground. He then looked at Prince Lin Yan and glowered, "Damn you, you're going to make me lose a lot of money!"
"You're the one who promised that you'll give 5 weapons for free for me."
"But you never said that you're going to bring people with such rare elements around, aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!"
Hu Fei looked like he nearly broke down. He promised Prince Lin Yan to give that annoying prince several weapons for free that was suitable for him or his friends. He thought that at most, he would only have to give some weaker ones.
But this..
Darkness and light were the rarest element for all cultivators aside from some others. How in the world three appeared at the same time in front of him?
Also, what in the world was that lake element?
"There's no such thing such as lake element…" Hu Fei furrowed his brows and looked at Lin Xiao.
Lin Xiao blinked his eyes. "But it's really lake."
"Are you sure you don't mean water."
"Nope."
Prince Lin Yan chose to help giving the explanation. "He's a healer. The water is a bit special and he calls it as lake because…of some reasons."
Healer?
Hu Fei looked at Prince Lin Yan.
One second.
Two seconds.
Three seconds.
"YOU BASTARD, WHY DON'T YOU ROB THE ROYAL FAMILY TREASURY IF YOU HAVE SUCH RARE ELEMENT FRIENDS? DAMN IT!"

Prince Lin Yan shrugged while the others were watching as Hu Fei rammed the wall. Did he want to destroy that wall?
Hu Fei then turned to look at Lin Xiao. "What's your healing degree?"
"Uh…" Lin Xiao didn't know what to answer.
"You don't know."
"I don't know."
Hu Fei sighed and pointed at his workroom. "Follow me there. Damn it, you should have just signed up in the association and got them test for you. But since you're already here, I'll help you."
"Are healers also considered as an occupation or something?" Lin Xiao asked since he barely knew anything.
"Yes, you can say so. Those who have special element will then can train it to reach higher levels with time. However, they would need to be tested from the beginning to determine their levels. Just like other occupation, they'll start from level 1 and the highest is level 10."
Princess Lan Yi Hua then looked at Lin Xiao with a gleam. "It's even said that those who could reach rank 10 can revive people."
Revive?
Lin Xiao was taken aback. His next reaction would be to pull Lin Hu from his action of swimming around in his consciousness to explain about this.
'Is it true that healers rank 10 can revive people?'
'Yes but there are limitations. For example, you can't possibly revive people who have died many time ago. Or, you can't revive people who have their soul destroyed when they self destruct.'
Looking at Lin Hu, Lin Xiao was sure that it was not the only limitations, but he would have to curb it for now.
Prince Lin Yan coughed and write on the air with his Qi. "Naturally, the categorization went like this:
1-3: Disciple: Capable of healing light wounds such as normal wounds outside.
4-6: Master: Capable of healing internal wounds up to the point of heavy internal bleeding and also heart failure.
7-9: Grandmaster: Capable of regrow limbs, mend shattered mental power, and similar to it."
Lin Xiao looked at the general description and felt his heart skipped a beat. If he was not wrong, it was very easy for him to heal internal wounds since he had already done so when he was healing Ye Jian back then.
Then… he was already a master?
Lin Hu scoffed. "Lake is naturally the best when it comes to natural talent to heal wounds, so it would be strange if your starting point is not that high. Aside from that, light is also good."

A Castle in a Teacup
One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
