《Glory e-sports》Chapter 69: A man should have ambitions. Just look, I particularly want to...

As they entered the canyon, Lu Feng spoke to Wei Xiao, “Yuan Ze has a habit.”
Wei Xiao’s ears pricked up, “Hm?”
Lu Feng: “Bai Cai, go to the bottom lane. You come here.”
Wei Xiao loved to make trouble at the start of the game. He agreed immediately, “Okay!”
The most important monster in the upper jungle zone was undoubtedly the one with the blue buff on its back.
In a conventional game, the jungler would either go to the lower jungle zone and start with the red buff, go for the blue buff, or head to the middle lane to harass the other side, stirring up a small conflict and making the other side cautious.
However, FTW didn’t play cards according to normal convention. They charged down the top lane at the start of the game and hid themselves in the bushes of L&P’s upper jungle zone.
Yuan Ze indeed had a habit. At the start of the game, he wouldn’t go up to the top lane first and would directly cross the river in the middle to enter the enemy’s jungle and explore, letting his team see more of the map.
The bushes that Lu Feng and Wei Xiao were hidden in was in a location that he absolutely had to pass in order to enter the enemy jungle.
If he wanted to go and harass Wei Xiao, then he would have to pass through these bushes.
If he didn’t go and harass Wei Xiao, then Lu Feng and Wei Xiao wouldn’t be able to ambush him.
Would Yuan Ze come or not?
Wei Xiao laughed and said, “He’s here!”
Lu Feng was really worthy of being an old teammate. He understood Yuan Ze so well!
A level one berserker warrior had a flying attack skill. The level one Wei Xiao started up a three segment movement skill and charged straight into Yuan Ze’s face.
Yuan Ze was taken by surprise by the two people who came over to attack, “F*ck!”
As soon as the two sides started fighting, their location was exposed. Old G immediately spoke up, “Wait for me!”
He just happened to be in the upper jungle zone.
Yuan Ze: “Don’t come.”
He wouldn’t be able to leave. In the early stages, the blood warrior was incredibly squishy. Without its ultimate move, it was unable to lifesteal, and after being attacked by these two, there was already no doubt about his death.
Instead of wasting time, Old G should quickly go and kill jungle monsters so that he could snatch up the rhythm of the game.
Gary had cooperated with him for many years and immediately understood what he meant. He picked up his pace, wanting to take the opportunity to invade FTW’s jungle areas and snatch away their resources.
Yuan Ze was also worthy of being a man whose name was in the Temple of Glory. After being caught in Lu Feng and Wei Xiao’s ambush, he wasn’t anxious or flustered. Knowing that he had no way to escape, he instead attempted to trade a life for a life.
Wei Xiao’s immortal thief was even squishier than the blood warrior in the early stages. Yuan Ze didn’t retreat. He advanced instead, hitting Wei Xiao with his skills.
Close’s berserker warrior was unable to deal much DPS before it hit level six, but it had high defense. He skillfully moved his hero over to block Wei Xiao’s body behind him, taking the damage dealt by the blood warrior.
The damage dealt by three consecutive hits was very considerable. The blood warrior cut Lu Feng down to half health.

Wei Xiao raised his voice, “Captain, hold on!”
He used his movement skill to position himself behind Yuan Ze, and his long sword swept across like a rainbow, a white sword light stabbing into Yuan Ze’s back.
The commentator exclaimed, “Amazing! His attack was perfect and triggered ‘rend’!”
The immortal thief had a passive ability that allowed it to deal double damage if it hit an enemy from behind. It would also cause ‘rend’, which dealt continuous damage over time!
Yuan Ze turned around and stabbed, wanting to cleave this little bastard in half.
Wei Xiao’s movements were very agile. He used the second part of his movement skill to wind around to his back again and executed another perfect rend.
At this time, Close’s skill was no longer on cooldown, and he used his first skill to stun Yuan Ze.
Yuan Ze ignored this attack that came from the front, locking onto Wei Xiao and chopping again.
Commentator B sucked in a breath of air, “The immortal thief’s health won’t be able to hold up!”
Commentator A was also surprised, “Marshal really deserves to be Glory’s strongest top-laner.”
His strength in this 1v2 fight was really the limit. Even if his death was inevitable, he would still be able to take someone down with him and might even be able to snatch up First Blood.
In this situation where everyone thought that Wei Xiao would die, he used that last 0.01 second to use the third part of his three part movement skill and flashed behind Lu Feng!
It was the true definition of ‘it all happened in the blink of an eye’. Yuan Ze’s blood blade swept out in the same moment that he was attacked, and Wei Xiao used Close as a shield to avoid the damage, managing to keep the last third of his health.
“F*ck!” Gary, who was killing jungle monsters near the top lane couldn’t hold back his anger. He wanted to give up the jungle monster he’d been fighting for a long time and come over to provide support.
Yuan Ze yelled, “Clear your jungle!”
Gary: “They’re almost dead.”
Yuan Ze’s voice was cold, “Close can kill you on his own.”
Gary was shocked.
Yuan Ze’s judgement at this moment was correct. It was true that Gary could make his way over in time, but it didn’t make much sense to do so.
The best outcome was for Yuan Ze to kill Wei Xiao. If he couldn’t do it, then Gary would just be killed if he came.
If Old G came to provide support, Wei Xiao would definitely die, but Close, who was still at half health, would definitely be able to kill Gary.
If that happened, L&P’s top-laner and jungler would both be dead, and their rhythm would collapse like a bloody avalanche!
Yuan Ze was only left with a small sliver of health. His health bar had gone from the critical red color to a dying black. Any little soldier just had to poke him, and he’d topple to the ground.
Even so, he turned around to use an auto attack and stab at Wei Xiao with his fog-covered blood blade.
The players beneath the stage were shocked, “He can do that?!”
Tang Chen, who had once been FTW’s top-laner was so focused he didn’t even blink.
On the other side, Pro’s Kim Sung-hyun sneered, “This old dog is really good at hiding himself.”
L&P and Pro often arranged training matches between themselves. They’d played several hundred games together, but he’d never seen Old Bandit Yuan play so seriously before.

If they didn’t know better, they’d think that this was the global finals!
Yuan Ze’s bloody blade reached Wei Xiao, and the immortal thief’s fragile body was seriously injured in an instant. His crimson health bar indicated that he was on the verge of death.
As long as he could hit him one more time, just brush against him with the tip of his blade…
Yuan Ze would be able to kill Wei Xiao!
“Shouldn’t they withdraw? The immortal thief can leave now. They can just let Close take the kill.”
“Yeah, rather than sending himself up for Yuan Ze to kill, why not let Close take First Blood.”
“Holy shit, the immortal thief attacked!”
“He’s crazy! Is he ignoring the overall situation just for the sake of a First Blood?”
The immortal thief charged at the blood warrior. The two of them who only had a sliver of health left were competing on absolute hand speed!
Was the newcomer Quiet better than the old veteran Marshal?”
Dream on!
System announcement: FTW.Quiet killed L&P.Marshal.
Success!
Wei Xiao killed Yuan Ze!
There was an uproar in the banquet hall. The commentators were dazed for half a second before saying, “Really beautiful.”
“That hand speed is pretty good.”
In the live broadcast room, the audience had exploded, “Holy shit, this kid is really strong!”
“Brave and resourceful, and he dares to fight!”
“Too crazy, he was actually able to pull it off.”
“He’ll die… he’s going to die, too. Although he took First Blood, he’s also going to give the other side a kill.”
“He won’t die! The immortal thief managed to activate his second passive ability!”
Commentator B: “Quiet killed Marshal! He used the movement skill from earlier and basic auto attacks to activate the immortal thief’s second passive, giving him an invulnerability status effect for 0.01 seconds!”
For the average player, this passive ability was basically useless, and even an average professional player wouldn’t dare to rely on it in such a situation.
It was like the shadow thief’s light arcs. Everyone knew that it was very powerful if it could be activated, but the margin of error was too slight.. If they relied on this skill for survival, the possibility of failure was too high.
But Wei Xiao did it!
It was precise and perfectly executed!
Commentator A quickly followed up, “The immortal thief was right not to retreat. If he’d been timid and left the kill to Close, he would have definitely died. He was still within the blood warrior’s range of attack!”
Commentator B: “That’s right. His movement skill and that last attack activated the second passive ability, allowing him to use invulnerability to resist Yuan Ze’s post-death attack.”
The fans were even more shocked after the experts explained the situation.
“Who just said that Quiet was stealing kills? Come out and die!”
“To hell with stealing kills. This was him calculating accurately that he could only survive if he charged in!”
“Isn’t Quiet strongest with the shadow thief? Why is his immortal thief also so amazing.”
“It’s only three minutes since the game started. God Yuan’s sending of the First Blood has probably broken a record.”
“In last year’s global competition, God Yuan was killed in a one against one at the start of the game. But it was only once.”
“I know! It was Eve’s God Xie and his captain who went into the opposing jungle and killed God Yuan!”
……
“How exciting. It’s so heated even at the start of the game. FTW’s really different this year!”
The fans were discussing heatedly amongst themselves when another system announcement came up in the game––
L&P.VIVI killed FTW.Silvery.
VIVI was L&P’s mid-lane, and Silvery was Ning Zhehan.
L&P’s mid-lane had killed FTW’s mid-lane in a one against one fight!
Both teams had chosen agile and flexible talents for their mid-lane positions.
The immortal warlock was relatively weak before it reached level six because it couldn’t stack up continuous moves and fly up into the clouds.
The spirit mage had no such scruples. It could fly into the shadows as soon as it went out, and it could cover a very long distance with its movement skill, basically spanning the distance between both towers. After it reached level two, it would also have its core DPS ability that dealt considerable damage and also applied a deceleration effect.
In general, before it reached level six, the spirit mage should be able to suppress the immortal warlock and beat them up.
But Ning Zhehan had been killed by the immortal warlock while hiding beneath the tower!
Lu Feng and Wei Xiao had taken First Blood on the top lane, but half a second later, L&P’s mid-lane had already gotten even.
This was the strength of a team who could contend for the world cup. None of its players could be underestimated!
The screen went dark. Ning Zhehan’s voice trembled, “I’m sorry.”
It hadn’t been easy for the captain and Brother Xiao to gain the advantage at the start of the game, but he’d ended up sending over a kill.
Wei Xiao: “What are you sorry for? If you hadn’t held down VIVI, then the captain and I would’ve died.”
Ning Zhehan was stunned.
Wei Xiao continued, “I dared to go and attack Old Dog Yuan because I saw that you were keeping VIVI occupied.”
5v5 really was really reliant on cooperation. Bai Cai and Yue Wenle were fighting against L&P in the bottom lane, and the four of them nibbled at each other, with nobody gaining the upper hand.
In the mid-lane, VIVI had cleared his soldiers faster than Ning Zhehan. If Ning Zhehan had shrunk back, then VIVI would immediately be able to go up to the top lane to provide support, cooperating with Yuan Ze to send both Lu Feng and Wei Xiao home dead.
Now, although Ning Zhehan had been killed, he’d already cleared his soldiers and wouldn’t suffer any losses in farming. Additionally, he’d kept VIVI occupied and given Lu Feng and Wei Xiao enough time to kill Yuan Ze.
He’d used his life to save two people, and had also helped his teammates take First Blood. FTW had come out on top in this exchange!
Ning Zhehan couldn’t help but say, “I-I should’ve been able to kill him.”
If both sides were evenly matched, then Ning Zhehan’s spirit mage should’ve been able to kill the immortal warlock before they reached level six.
Wei Xiao was amused, “Little Ning, you’re quite ambitious. Who is VIVI? He’s someone in the global top three mid-laners. You’ve just started, and you already want to screw him over?”
Ning Zhehan: “…………”
Wei Xiao continued to make pithy remarks as he went to clear his jungle, “Well, there’s nothing wrong with that. A man should have ambitions. Just look, I particularly want to…”
Brother Cai, who was busy providing vision, didn’t dare to listen any further, “Hurry the hell up. If you don’t want the red daddy, then give it to Old G as a gift.”
Wei Xiao was anxious, “I’m coming, I’m coming!”
Although his words just now had been a little bizarre, it still held some truth.
The immortal warlock in front of him was a player who’d once won the world championship and was up there in the Glory rankings.
It had previously been unimaginable that Ning Zhehan would be able to survive while standing across from him in the lane. So what if he’d been killed once?
Brother Xiao had been killed thousands of times by their captain and treated it like it was nothing!
When he thought about it that way, Ning Zhehan was suddenly full of energy!
On L&P’s side, the team chat turned quiet for a while after Yuan Ze died.
VIVI: “FTW’s mid-lane isn’t very good. Gary, come get him.”
Yuan Ze: “No need.”
VIVI: “As long as we destroy the mid-lane, FTW will lose without being able to put up a fight.”
Yuan Ze stared at the screen and spoke in a deep voice, “Old G, come to the top lane.”
Was it meaningful to attack FTW’s weakness?
He’d been looking forward to this game because of Lu Feng and Wei Xiao.
He wanted to beat them.
He wanted to beat FTW thoroughly, from their very roots!
The commentators immediately spoke up, “Gary is going to the top lane. Judging from this angle and this position, it seems that L&P wants to clear out their previous shame!”
“It’s happening, it’s happening, Marshal and Gary are going to gank Close!”
“Most of FTW’s team is in the lower jungle area. They definitely won’t have time to go support, and the payback for the 2v1 at the start of the game is coming!”
“So, will Close be killed like Marshal was?”
These sentences heated up the atmosphere and the audience followed suit, growing nervous as they watched.
Wei Xiao’s intuition was very keen. He seemed to have caught on to something, “Old Bai, toss some vision over the dragon cave!”
Bai Cai cursed, “F*ck, Old G must have gone up. Captain, be careful!”
Lu Feng’s voice was calm, “Wei Xiao, go to the mid-lane and cooperate with Ning to kill the immortal warlock.”
Wei Xiao: “Captain…” He wanted to go up and support the top lane.
Lu Feng suddenly asked him, “Just now, what did you say you particularly wanted to do?”
Wei Xiao paused for a moment before remembering the trash talk he’d been saying to Little Ning just now.
––A man should have ambitions. Just look, I particularly want to… screw the captain.
Bai Cai had interrupted him before he could finish, and he wouldn’t dare to say it now even if he was beaten to death. Wei Xiao quickly changed his words, “… Get screwed over by the captain!”
FTW’s mid-laner, bottom laner, and support almost simultaneously smashed their faces into their keyboards.
Lu Feng’s expression didn’t change at all, “So, what are you worried about.”
His voice dropped, and the berserker warrior switched states. He was covered in heavy armor, and his long sword flashed with cold light. His second skill swept across, his icy blue blade sending Gary, who was crouched in the bushes, flying into the air.
xiin: “… Get screwed over by the captain!” heeheeeheee, don’t worry it’ll happen~

Azarinth Healer
A new world with nearly unlimited possibilities. A status, classes, magic and monsters. Sounds good? Well, for Ilea it didn't come quite as expected as for some other protagonists, nor was there a king or god to welcome her. The grand quest? Well, she might figure that out someday but for now, a new world with new food is prize enough. Her fists at the ready, she's prepared to punch and get punched, however long it takes and however many limbs she might have to regrow. A story I've started writing now quite a while ago. Transported to another world, somewhat standard fantasy setting with my beginner attempts to make it dark but funny. There are Litrpg elements here but I do hope it's not too heavy and annoying. The fights should be interesting and aren't just numbers vs numbers. Contrary to the title the protagonist will be quite an offensive fighter. Ilea Spears is your average sarcastic kick-boxing fast food worker and soon to be student. She will be transported to another world rather conventionally and will be confronted with survival in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. My experience is incredibly lacking. If you find yourself hating it early on, do convey your anger in a detailed comment or review :) I want to get better but without any feedback it's simply quite difficult. Quick heads up: Around chapter 120 there are a bunch of longer PoV changes that I discontinued again shortly after. The Arc around chapters 150-200 is darker than the rest and the themes shift quite a bit. Just know that it goes back to what you've come to know after that section. Thank you for reading. Quick update June 2019: Many complaints regarding the formatting, specifically spacing in conversations and of course the usage of the present tense in the first 36 chapters have been addressed. I'm of course learning by the day but compared to how it was before it should be an improvement at least. Chapters usually around 3k words Cover art by Kevin Catalan

Orc Lord
A young woman just starting out in life is killed tragically in a car accident. However, she soon regains consciousness as a baby in a fantasy world. But... she's an Orc?! It would be good if she could just enjoy her new life quietly, but she seems destined for war and carnage. How will she fare as a monster in a fantasy world? ________________ This story will have a total of three arcs: Arc 1, The Birth of Babylon: 571 pages (complete) Arc 2, The Baphomet War: 420 pages (complete) Arc 3, The Mad Queen of Carnage: (in progress) ________________ Ultimately, I'm writing this for enjoyment. If you enjoy it too, fantastic! Gore: Extremely infrequent, but moderately intense. Profanity: There are a few swear words here and there, as well as some more creative insults. Traumatizing Content: While I'm at it, there are some questionable morals displayed (mostly after chapter 77). So far we can check off slavery, brainwashing, war, and genocide. This story starts off very Light Novel-ish because I was reading a lot of them at the time. The writing style gradually matures as it goes. Sorry, but I don't have the stamina to go back and fix everything, even if I know it gets pretty roughshod at times. New readers, please keep in mind, I make use of "unreliable narrators" at times. My story accepts donations, but it is free to read and I've only uploaded it here. Lastly, Orc Lord is a member of the WriTEr's Pledge, which means I have sworn to see it through to a satisfying ending. One of my long breaks triggered a dishonor, but I'll redeem it someday when it's actually finished. I'm the ultimate necromancer author. ;P
