She was like an instant drug, making him feel better immediately. 

Only after hugging her for a while did he recall that he had been working out. "I'm all sweaty. How can you hug me?" 

Lin Lihua didn't mind at all. "You're my husband to be. Why would I mind your sweat?" 

Since she did not mind, he hugged her a little more. 

Although she did not say any word of comfort, her presence alone was enough. He indeed felt much better.
