"Well… How should I start this off? It was many years ago. Like around the time I started to become an adventurer I suppose." He started to narrate as he started to remember the past.
"It all began when I was on a mission to eliminate some goblins within the Wretched Timberland Forest. I think it was my first commission I had when I was a D-ranked adventurer. It was honestly more of a scout mission rather than an execution." He said.
"I decided to go around the night when monsters are most active. Just in case I was ever in a predicament and could use those goblins as distractions I suppose. I was pretty confident at running away back in the day after all." He continued as he chuckled a bit reminiscing his past.

"Careful on your way out there! It is really dangerous at night in those types of places! Who knows what could be lurking within the darkness…" A cute guild receptionist had said to him as she scanned his ID Card.
"Don't worry. I am confident I am able to outrun anything that comes my way. If worst comes to worst, I will probably just climb a tree and hide up there." He replied to comfort her.
"You know, that doesn't make me less worried at all. Everywhere you go, there is always some type of trouble that follows. Like that one time, you supposedly went to pick up some herbs. How did you end up bringing the dead body of an orc? When were there even orcs near that area?" She grumbled as she looked at him.
"Uh… One can't be that unlucky alright? It is not like that will happen twice. After all, I am still here alive and well aren't I? I am also in perfect condition. Therefore, nothing can go wrong! Just mere goblins, I defeated an orc. They won't pose much of a threat!" He said as he pounded on his chest with his fists assuring her.

"Fine, whatever you say. Just go already. The longer I see you, the more I can stand you. You don't even want to heed my advice. Hmph!" She angrily pouted at him as she turned away from him.
"Ah! It was a joke! I will prepare alright! I'll be extra careful! Don't be angry with me! You already know that whoever you dislike, the other guild receptionists will surely ignore them too!" He immediately started to apologize when he saw this happen.
"This is my job after all! I need the money to live! Also for my family back at home! There is no way I will die until I can guarantee their success in life." He added to reassure her one last time before she could say anything else.
"Fine, you can go now. It is already getting late, you wouldn't want your family to worry right?" She said as she no longer pouted.
"Alright, I will be going now." He said as he waved her goodbye before exiting the building.
"Bye!" She waved back at him.

Will Eve let the title she bears consume her, or will she become the hero in both body and mind? This is the tale of her struggles, and a star-crossed love destined by Fate to never converge. This is the tale of Zero. This story is a slow-burn, meant to be a few hundred pages or more in length, so the plot isn't the fastest to move. It also has lesbian-themed relationships for the majority of its cast. This story partially falls under, "harem" with the main character being female and gaining the affection of other females, against (at first) the main character's (Eve) will. This first arc will be more focused on the mentality and emotions of the cast with battles spaced intermittently. The second arc will involve a lot more fighting. Arc two will be out in a reasonable timeframe. Jamie finds the idea of getting to be a wizard a dream come true, and the fact that he has a special bonus that will help him become powerful faster than normal in a world where gaining Skills isn't easy only makes things better. He quite literally has unlimited potential, it's a better world than the life he had on Earth, and he did meet an attractive guy within a minute of arriving. Why would he want to leave? Harem Tag: There will be a harem for sure, I just don't know how many guys will be in nor what species of person any other than two will be. Slice-of-Life and Adventure: this story will have periods of slice-of-life and periods of adventure, so it's technically fitting into both genres. When as he reaches for it the power isn't all it's cracked up to be.Systemless in a world where everyone else has access to one Elliot must grapple with a multitude of problems from without and within. The 'gods' might actually be incompetent, uncaring, downright malicious, or all three. His power is constantly three steps behind those who chose the quick path to power. There's also the antisocial tendencies he's brought with him from earth. Can he trust the 'god' who seems to be taking him under their wing? Will he be able to catch up to his fellow earthlings who're ever increasing in power? Is it possible he may just break out of his shell along the way?*** What to expect ***The initial start will be quite slow, building the setting, history, and individuals involved. There is a small bit of progression in these early chapters for the MC, but more along the lines of figuring out how their systemless power works. though once the story gains traction it won't stop.*** Don't tell Elliot, but ***Elliot hates to admit it but he's very clearly antisocial.
