Chapter 621: Planting Trees as a Wall
Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
“What do you think if I transfer to another hospital?” Wang Fengyi asked.
“Transfer? where to?” His wife was also worried. He has been hospitalized for two days without any signs of getting better. In fact, he seemed to be getting worse. Although her husband had many problems, he was good to her and their children. The family could only stay complete with him. She hoped he did not have any big problems or lingering effects of a chronic disease.
“Haiqu or the provincial capital,” Wang Fengyi said. “The doctors here are not skillful.”
Just as he spoke, a doctor came. His face turned a little blue. “Who says we can’t do it?”
The sullen doctor ignored Wang Fengyi and asked the two patients next to him about their conditions and left the room.
Wang Fengyi’s wife rushed out after him and returned before too long.
“How is it?” Wang Fengyi asked.
“Would it kill you to speak in a lower voice?” his wife asked. “The doctor is not happy, but he agreed to transfer you.”
“It is good as long as he agrees. I don’t care whether he is happy or not,” Wang Fengyi said. He did not have a very good impressions of doctors.
That same day, he was moved to Haiqu People’s Hospital for treatment.
“His situation is rare!” The Haiqu doctor was troubled after checking Wang Fengyi’s condition. He soon called in an expert for consultation and discussed a treatment plan with the patient.
“Oh, they are finally reliable.” Wang Fengyi felt relieved, but his head was still uncomfortable.
In the mountain village, Wang Yao planted the newly acquired Zidan seed in a suitable position in the medicine field. Afterward, he made a phone call to reserve some trees and shrubs. He wanted to use the trees as a wall to isolate the mountain forest on the east, west and south sides, only leaving a small path in the north.
That night, he studied for a long time. He took out a piece of graph paper and drew and wrote until midnight.
The next morning, he went down the mountain. He met Wen Wan and her son walking by the riverside. Her son supported her with his hands as they walked very slowly.
“Doctor Wang, hello,” Wen Wan said.

“Hello, how do you feel these days?” Wang Yao asked.
“Good,” Wen Wan said. “I can sleep and have strength in my body. I can eat now, too. Since the air in the mountain village is so good, I like to take a walk in the morning.”
“Good. Given your current situation you can only do some minor activities,” Wang Yao said. “You should primarily focus on rest and nourishment.”
“Oh, I know, thank you,” Wen Wan said.
She was contented that she had been able to recover to this degree. She was still alive. Naturally, she was very grateful to this young and extraordinary young man.
“You’re welcome,” Wang Yao said.
On the way, the three met some villagers. Wen Wan and her son had met some of them several times, so they had become quite familiar with one another. Initially, the villagers would just cordially greet them. Now that they had been in the village for a while, sometimes the villagers would bring them some eggs, chickens, and ducks, as well as some vegetables and pancakes.
The villagers knew that there were five people living among them from other places who had rented houses to seek treatment from Wang Yao. Sun Yunsheng had also come to him for treatment some time ago. They were impressed that wealthy people were his patients. They now realized that this young man laughed at by them before was really capable.
“What about the brother and his sister?” When Wen Wan chatted with her son, they talked about Chen Ying and Chen Zhou. In fact, they had seen each other several times.
“I don’t know,” Fan Youren said.
The sunlight was very warm. Wen Wan and her son continued walking alongside the river to the south of the village and then walked back.
Wang Yao stopped at his home before heading to the clinic. He prepared to make some new medications since the system upgrade had given him a new understanding of their production.
In the morning, a man in his 50s came to the clinic. He was very thin with sunken cheeks. He had cerebral thrombosis. His left arm and left leg had not recovered. He could move his left arm, but he could not clench his fist tightly or exert strength on his left leg. It made him lame while walking.
“How long it has been?” Wang Yao asked.

“Since November or December last year. He stayed in the hospital for nearly 20 days,” said the woman who came with the man.
“Do you have diabetes?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yes, it is alimentary diabetes,” the man said.
“Are you taking medicine now?” Wang Yao asked.
“No, injecting insulin,” the man said.
“Come on, let me check.” Wang Yao carefully examined the patient. He had lost almost all of his teeth. “Do you still smoke?”
“No, I have quit,” the man said.
“Can you do some movement?” Wang Yao asked.
The patient moved his arm. His arm could be lifted, but it couldn’t bend freely. Additionally, his fingers were not flexible at all. His left hand was cooler than the right one. It was the external sign of meridian blockage.
“Sit down.” Wang Yao first gave him a massage on the acupoints to dredge the blood on the left arm, left upper body, left leg, and head. “How do you feel?”
“It was a bit cold, but now I feel warm and hot,” the man said.
He was originally afraid of being cold, especially since the left part of his body was cold. After more than one hour of massage, he felt that his body was warmer.
Wang Yao took out three silver needles and plunged them into three acupuncture points on his head. He twisted and rubbed a few times before withdrawing them.
“Don’t rush to leave,” he said. “You need to sit for a while before leaving. Come back in a few days. We should see the effect in seven days.”
The condition of this patient was still relatively good. The duration of his illness had been relatively short. Since the man was careful in his daily life, the illness did not worsen.
“OK.” The patient was still sitting and constantly moving his fingers.
“Don’t worry. You need careful nursing to recover,” Wang Yao said.
“Doctor, is only massage enough? Does he need to take medicine?” the wife asked.
“When you come next time, I will give you medicine according to the situation,” Wang Yao said.
He felt that this patient could be cured by acupuncture and massage without taking medicine.
“OK,” the man said. “How much?”
“$200,” Wang Yao replied
The woman thought, That’s so expensive! The outpatient clinic massage only charged $50 a time. Although she thought this, she still took out the money.
“Is there anything else I need to be aware of, doctor?” the woman asked.
“I have already written it down.” Wang Yao wrote down the precautions and handed it over to the woman. “Come back in two days.”
The woman helped her husband out of the clinic.
“It’s so expensive. Don’t come again,” the man murmured.
“As long as he can cure your illness, we need to come, even if it was $2000 or $20,000,” the woman said. “I heard from a friend that the doctor’s medical skills are very good.”
“OK, then we will try it again,” the man said.
In the afternoon, Li Shiyu brought a truck of trees and shrubs, which were only part of Wang Yao’s order.
“That was fast,” Wang Yao said.
“We had the stock in the nursery garden, so I wanted to send them over first,” Li Shiyu said.
“Thanks. Let’s go up the mountain,” Wang Yao said.
Like before, the saplings were unloaded at the foot of the mountain.
“That’s a lot of saplings. Can you handle them yourself?” Li Shiyu asked.
“Yes,” Wang Yao said.
“I’ll send you another truck of saplings tomorrow,” Li Shiyu said.
After he left, Wang Yao began to get busy. The bundles of saplings were not very heavy, but they were a little troublesome to take up. He quickly went up and down the mountain. It did not take long before all the saplings were carried up.
After eating a meal at home, he headed back up the mountain to mark a place in the south of Nanshan Hill where there had originally been a row of trees. Those trees had not been planted one next to the other. Instead, they were planted to block the road from being trod on. This time, he wanted to connect the trees to totally block off the area.
The next morning, the clinic was opened as usual. No patients came in, but Chen Ying and Chen Zhou paid him a visit.
In the afternoon, Wang Yao hung the wooden sign on the door and went up the mountain. He dug pits and planted trees with the dog’s help all afternoon. Before long, a new row of trees existed on Xishan Hill.
“San Xian, go to get some water.”
