"Stop them!!"

Mark and Lear rushed and pulled Max and Beli apart. ​​

The moment Max came back to his senses, he stomped the ground crafting a crater in anger. This was really starting to irritate him.

Beli on the other side sat down with her head low and her hairs covered her expression.

"What was the loud noise?" Lisa returned only to see everyone with a depressed face.

Once she knew what had happened, her face turned unsightly. She didn't know whether to console Max or Beli...both of them looked as if they had been fed sh*t…

"Go and apologise to her…" Axel whispered to Max.

«There is something wrong with her….»

Axel was suddenly started by Max's message.

«Axel: Is she too good of a kisser?»

Max glared at Axel but didn't reply. Even though he had lost his senses back then, he could remember the strange feeling when he came in contact with her but he couldn't clearly grasp onto it...

Something was definitely up with this girl. He had this feeling since the first day and today he knew he was right…..

This girl was not a normal person. Max remembered that she had always avoided contact with him, he had thought it might be her personal problem. But now it seemed that she was taking precautions to hide herself.....maybe she had felt that Max was different like her.....and avoided him....

May be she had awakened like Elly or Lisa and was trying to hide it like Elly had done all along.

Or was there something else to it….

Was it possible that she was not that simple and had approached them with some motive in her mind?

He really had no idea which of his conjectures were true...

He hadn't been able to dig anything suspicious about her last time too even after having Twice spy on her.

'Should I confront her about it?' Max thought inwardly.

But then gave up on it. If the girl really was here with ill motives, then she would probably forfeit and run away the moment she was caught

The best option in this case was to allow her to do what she was doing and keep an eye on her and properly figure her intentions out…

Max even had the clone and charm ability now. He had more confidence in tracking people and getting the truth out of them…...as long as he could control those powers though...

Max turned his head to look at Beli only to see her staring at him too and the next instant, she turned her head away.

It was indeed a bit awkward.

Still, he walked up to her and apologised about it, "I am sorry...I honestly don't remember anything after this side effect kicked in.."

He was just making things up in order to let her know that even though they came in contact, he didn't remember it….so her secret was safe....

"No, I am the one who should be sorry. I came up and did it….it was not your fault after all.." Beli looked at Max and replied with a depressed face.

'Either she is really nice or her self control is on another level..' Max muttered inwardly seeing that she didn't show any signs of anger.

"Couldn't you have held yourself back? I feel sorry for her..." Lisa whispered to Max.

"I did try to hold myself but she was the one attacking.." Max replied helplessly.

He then thought about Beli for a second and decided yo inform everyone about her.

«I just felt something odd about Beli, I am not sure about it though. It might be just my imagination. So, treat her the same way you do...but there is nothing wrong in taking precaution. So, don't let your guard down around her...»

Everyone saw it but continued to act normally as if nothing was wrong.

«Lear: Were her lips that dangerous? Did you get smithen?»

«Wilson: Well, I want to know Axel's feelings though….how does it feel seeing your ex and best friend?»

«Axel: It's hard to say….but I guess you will be able to experience it first hand if you ask your sister....it will not be much different....» Ace retorted in anger.

He really didn't feel anything in particular after all that was a few days dating and they only went on movies and dinners....nothing happens between them..

It was just like going out with a friend.

But when it was put like that then no one would be able to keep themselves from getting angry.

«Wilson: What do you mean?» Wilson frowned.

Max obviously understood what Axel meant and he definitely wouldn't want Wilson to understand it.

«Lisa: Shut up!!»

Luckily, Lisa came to Axel's rescue.

Yeah, she was in the group as well. Everyone turned their heads to look at Lisa only to see a vein popping on her forehead.

"You guys are really going overboard…..I wasn't even the one to make a move..." Max said with a sigh after being tied to the pillar.

"I am sorry…" Beli apologised for her actions once again but Lisa consoled her saying that it wasn't her fault.

"It's for the best…" Lisa said looking at Max and others nodded as well.

And soon everyone dispersed and found a place to rest but the discussion continued in the chat since there were others with them now.

Max obviously informed Wilson that it was a spirit shell. Now the question was, why was there a spirit shell with Wilson's maternal family…

Well, Max's own mother had a spirit shell as well so it might not be that difficult to understand.

Was it possible that Wilson's mother belonged to one of the Ancient Family which had disappeared over the ages..

After all, if every Ancient Family guarded an Artifact and there were a total of 12 artifacts, then there should be 12 Ancient Families, while Max had only heard about the five until now..

«Mark: It's even more confusing then.. why the hell are they trying to go after Wilson….»

«Axel: Isn't that simple…if it's his younger brother's plans then as long as he get this guy outt….and marry off his sister the family will be his….and if this is entirely Yule family's plan then they too will try to kill this guy and then his younger brother...while trying to arrange a marriage with his sister and get the control of the family…»

«Axel: So, your sister should be safe...but obviously it's just my theory. We don't know if there is any other variable...»

At this moment, Erina walked out after being treated inside.

"We need to talk Wils-" She was already rushing towards Wilson when she suddenly stopped and her eyes fell on the spirit shell.

"Where did you find it? I have been looking for it for years now…" Erina said with a surprise as she picked it up. The joy on her face could clearly be seen. It was as if her life was finally complete.

"You know what it is?" Wilson asked in surprise.

"Yeah, it's the weapons mom used. She said she would pass it down to be me once I awakened but it went missing after she fell ill…" Erina said as she hugged it. "Where did you find it?"

Max and Axel and exchanged a look.

Well things were starting to get interesting now…..they could clear smell a conspiracy here...
