Another man who looked around thirty was riding shotgun, and in the backseat was Wang Siyu and a young girl who looked just short of twenty .

Everyone got off the car when they saw Jiang He coming, with Wang Siyu coming to him and introducing the man and the girl . “Brother Su, Liu Xue . This is Jiang He, whom I’ve spoken of before . He is an Awakened, and his power is beast taming . ”

The man, who was wearing a black trench coat stayed impassive as he came to shake Jiang He’s hand . “I’m Su Ze,” he said coolly, “an apprentice of the Eight Trigram school and rank-two martial artist . ”

Since the other man had already announced himself, Jiang He felt compelled to say something as well .

After musing to himself for a bit, he then said, “I’m Jiang He, an Awakened who is good at… walking dogs?”

Wang Siyu and the girl couldn’t help giggling, whereas Su Ze appeared displeased, and shot the former a frown . “Wang Siyu, there are lives at stake . Don’t you think you would make a mess of things, asking an inexperienced Awakened to help?”

“This came with permission from above, Brother Su . ” Wang Siyu replied .

It was obvious that there was a rift between her and Su Ze .

On the other hand, the other young girl had an earnest smile on her face . “Your village is so impressive, Sister Siyu… you actually have three Awakened . And is Brother Jiang He really a beast tamer? This is the first time I’ve met one! Could you get me a Feral as a pet?”
