In modern Seattle (2018), things may seem normal on the surface.

However, under the cover of darkness, a twisted world of magic and monsters operate. A complete outsider to all of this, Caitlyn, a regular high schooler, accidentally falls in head first upon realizing she isn't just a normal person. Instead, she is a devourer, a cursed creature formed out of negative energy that prey upon foul emotions.

During a chance encounter, she meets a boy from her school, a spellcasting magus who works as an exorcist for the local mob named Ern. Realizing her untapped potential, he decides to bring her beyond the veil of normalcy.

Will she be able to navigate through this world of magic and crime? And at what cost?
