Rose was pretty sure the only thing out of the ordinary about her best friend, Kaz, is that he has an uncanny ability to annoy her. She was wrong. Actually, she was wrong about a lot of things.

As it turns out, Kaz is not bad with a sword. In fact, "not bad" is probably an understatement.

Apparently, there is a whole second world out there, one run by wielders of the blade. Will Rose be able to survive? Maybe, just maybe, she will find out that she is even stronger than she imagined. Or maybe she'll die. That could happen too. Arguably more likely.

With that wonderful thought, let the sword fighting begin!
