Gifteds are humans with combat powers in the form of spirit weapons. These individuals are rare in society, only ten percent meeting the criteria as powers are passed down by blood [upper-class] and luck. Among these individuals, less than zero point one percent pass the first stage.

One day, to everyone's surprise, a non-gifted aces the admission test with perfect scores: both in combat and academics.
