The Pillars are vast and their secrets are their own. Whether they were built by some ancient civilisation, or were caused by some unknown phenomena, they extend as far as anyone has ever been able to travel, and on them everyone who has ever lived passed their time from birth to death. Through them weaves the interconnected settlements, both small and huge, of the so-called 'Cable City', with its endless wires and walkways which join together the myriad people living life among the pillars.
