《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 1060 Castle Version 2.0 Part 5

"Ah, I didn't consider that. You are right, you will definitely need more storage. How is your connection to the golem's core? If I create a core just for storage would you be able to use it?"
Jarvis says "The connection is good, as long as I stay close to the main core. If I were to try and leave the castle I believe that the connection would probably fail. A sub-core for data storage should solve the problem."
"Alright. I will make a sub-core for storage tomorrow. I will also see what I can do to increase the range of the link to the golem. Any other problems?"
Jarvis says "While I can record the location of all the knowledge in the library I am not able to comprehend all of it."
"That is not surprising. You are not even a day old, I would be worried if you could instantly understand everything. Don't worry, your comprehension will grow over time."
Jarvis says "Understood. There are no other problems."
"Alright. How is your energy level? Do you need to go into rest mode?"
Jarvis says "The golem's energy levels are fine. Unless I need to use it to fight, it shouldn't have any problems."
"That's good. Out of curiosity, do you have the ability to manifest without the golem?"
Jarvis says "Yes, maker, but only as an illusion."
"That's fine. Alright, Lin and I will be heading to bed now."
Jarvis says "Goodnight, Maker, Lady Lin."
Lin says "You don't need to be so formal, Jarvis. You can just call me Lin."
Jarvis says "According to my information, a good butler is never casual."
"Sorry, Lin, that is how I programmed him. It may change as he grows, but for now just let him be."

Lin says "Oh, alright. It is fine, I just didn't want him to feel like he had to treat me like a stranger."
Jarvis says "I appreciate the sentiment, Lady Lin. I assure you that following my programming does not cause me discomfort."
Lin says "I guess that's good enough."
"Come, let's go to bed."
Lin and I head up to the bedroom, leaving Jarvis to watch over the castle. I am confident enough that he can't betray me to be able to relax and have fun with Lin. As promised, I sleep with her and intentionally sleep in so that she can wake me up.
I have to say that being woken up by Lin makes everything I have gone through in this world worth it. Eventually, we get up and go downstairs to have breakfast. A messenger arrives while we are eating, but Jarvis talks to him so we don't get interrupted.
Stolen story; please report.
Jarvis says "The message is from Almort. Your meeting with the southern ambassador is set for after lunch."
"Oh, good. That gives me some time to make your sub-core."
Lin says "What does the southern empire want with you?"
"No idea. That's what the meeting is for."
Lin says "Are you going to help them?"
"It depends on what they want and what they are offering. If they have elves, then probably."
Lin says "Well, if the northern empire was able to gather some, it would make sense that the southern could as well."
"Agreed. That's why I am willing to meet with them."
Lin says "Alright. Let me know how it goes and if you need any help. I am going to head for the library."
"Okay. See you later."
I give Lin a long kiss before she leaves and then head down to the workshop. The first thing I do is take a look at the programming for Jarvis to see what's changed. There are no errors that I can find, but the changes help increase my understanding.

My programming is still really basic, so there is still a lot for me to learn. I am hoping that as Jarvis grows, the changes to his programming will teach me more advanced concepts. After studying the changes for a while, I switch over to making a sub-core.
Being the third one I have made it goes pretty quickly and the enchantments are easy. Once it is done and linked to the main core I have Jarvis test it out and then transfer some data to it. Then I make sure that the sub-core will keep information properly.
"How is it Jarvis?"
Jarvis says "The connection is stable and there doesn't seem to be any problems."
"Is it enough or do you think I should make a second?"
Jarvis says "I believe that all the information in the library will fill it to about sixty or seventy percent capacity."
"In that case I will just go ahead and make another now. We aren't going to stop collecting knowledge."
Jarvis says "I believe that would be wise, Maker."
Luckily, I have just enough of the gems left to make another sub-core. I have plenty of other gems, but not the same ones I used for the main core. Once the second sub-core is made, I take all three cores and head upstairs.
First I reshape part of the floor to create a small hidden space about the size of an end table. Then I create a pedestal that the main core will sit on top of, while the sub-cores will go inside it. I enchant the pedestal to improve the communication between the cores and then add some defenses.
I have Jarvis test everything out and then let the pedestal sink into the hidden space. I make sure that it is almost impossible to find the hidden space and then check the time. Seeing that I still have some time before lunch, I start working on the castle's enchantments.
Jarvis says "Maker, I have a request since you are working on the enchantments."
"Oh? What is it?"
Jarvis says "If possible I would like you to increase my observational range. Right now I can only see the castle and a small area around it. I would like to be able to observe a greater area. Not to mention that it would help if I could spot threats before they reached the castle."
"Sure. That is easy enough."
Jarvis says "Thank you, Maker."
To give Jarvis what he wants, I just add the same enchantments that I put on the ship. That will allow him to observe about a mile around the castle, including in the sky and underground. While I am at it I put in an enchantment that will allow the golem to be away from the castle, well half of one.
The other half will have to be a modification to the golem, which I will take care of later. Next I go through the castle's enchantments, streamlining them and making improvements. This is to make some extra room because I think the time dilation will take a lot of space.
However, I don't have enough time to work on the new enchantment right now. All I can do is lay the groundwork, once that is done I have some lunch. As soon as I am done eating I head to the association building for my meeting.

Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons: Year One
Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. In a flash of snapping teeth, Logan suddenly finds himself on the doorstep to another world. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…
