《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 1059 Castle Version 2.0 Part 4

That should be Jarvis getting used to the castle and the castle's enchantments. After a bit, the mana returns and enters into the golem, then a minute later it moves. Jarvis then spends a minute testing out the golem's ability to move before he speaks.
Jarvis says "I am Jarvis?"
"That is correct."
Jarvis says "You are Ash? My maker?"
"That is also correct."
Jarvis says "My purpose is to be the caretaker for this castle and your butler?"
"Yes. Do you understand the concepts behind those responsibilities?"
Jarvis says "Affirmative. I stand ready to serve."
"Good. Just so you know, you are the first artificial spirit that I have created. As such, the first thing I need you to do is test your functions and control of the enchantments."
Jarvis says "Understood. Checking. Other than a blind spot, everything seems to be working properly."
"Blind spot? Oh, do you mean my bedroom? That was done intentionally. There is no need for you to see what goes on in there. If we need anything in there your golem body can enter."
Jarvis says "Understood. I have control of all the castle's enchantments and everything seems fine. I do not have control of the other golems, was that intentional as well?"
"Not exactly. They are incomplete and are currently running as an experiment in programming. Since they are the first golems that I have created, I am using them to test my programming."
Jarvis says "Does that mean I am also an experiment?"
"No, you are not an experiment. You are the goal of the experiments. I was specifically working to create you. However, some of the techniques I used to make you were experimental, which is why I am not sure if everything is going to work properly."

Jarvis says "What should I watch for?"
"Errors in your programming. I will also check it from time to time. Your program is designed to grow as you learn, but as it changes problems could occur. Now, while you have the ability to modify your own programming I don't want you to just yet."
Jarvis says "May I ask why not?"
"First of all, I need to see how the programming works. Second, I don't want you to fix any errors before I take a look at them. I need to learn from them and it is possible that they could be beneficial."
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
Jarvis says "Understood. I will notify you if I spot anything strange in my programming. What are my duties?"
To answer his question, I explain to Jarvis what we normally use the castle for. I also tell him my plans and some of the things I hope for him to be capable of. It takes a while since I don't exactly have a clear idea of what I expect from him.
Jarvis says "Maker, someone is approaching the gate."
"Ah, that should be Lin. Come, I will introduce you to her."
Lin says "Oh, this doesn't look like the gardeners. Did you create the artificial spirit?"
"Yes, I did. This is Jarvis. Jarvis, this is Lin, my future wife."
Jarvis says "A pleasure to meet you, Lady Lin."
Lin says "It's a pleasure to meet you as well. Welcome to the family."
We head inside to have dinner and Jarvis does his best to act as our waiter. He makes a few mistakes, but he corrects them quickly and he never makes the same mistake twice. He is already learning and I am looking forward to taking a look at his programming later.

As we are eating he asks Lin for the new copied books that she made today. When she hands them over he takes them to her library to put them away. Part of his job will be to learn what knowledge is in all of the books and act as a catalog for them.
He should be able to save both of us a lot of time since we won't have to search through the books. That will become more important as more books are added to the library. As it is, I don't think Lin even knows all of what is contained in all of her books.
After all, she is only skimming through books before deciding whether or not to copy them. I know that it has been driving her nuts, but it is unfortunately necessary right now. Once we leave, I plan to make sure she has lots of reading time to make up for it.
Speaking of, I need to work on the time dilation enchantment sometime soon. Once I am sure that Jarvis is stable I can put the core into place and add more enchantments. If I am going to modify the ship's pontoons, I need to do it before we set sail again.
Those two things, along with whatever the ambassador wants, should keep me busy for a few days at least. Hm, while I am at it I should figure out a way to keep track of the time outside the castle. Otherwise, with the time difference, we are likely to lose track of the time outside.
I will need to think about that, but I can't do anything until I know how good the time enchantment will be. I am hoping for at least three times the time or more, but I am not sure if I can do it. I really wish that I had taken a better look at the enchantments inside the tower.
However, while that would save me a lot of effort, I don't want to wait until I get back to upgrade the castle. I can always re-do the enchantments later if I learn how to do them better. Considering how advanced the tower is, I probably will, if Yui lets me study it.
I may have to wait until Lin becomes the archmage before I can get access to the best magical knowledge. At this point I could probably become the archmage, but I doubt I will have the time. I expect to be extremely busy once we return to the peninsula, but I will see how things go.
Jarvis doesn't come back before we are finished eating, even for a spirit it takes time to scan that many books. So, once we finish our dinner I open a soulscape and invite everyone. The girls watch movies with me while the kids play until I end the soulscape.
It is going to be odd when we get back to the peninsula and I don't need to open a soulscape every night. However, for now it is important so that the kids don't feel like I have abandoned them. When I open my eyes after closing the soulscape I find Jarvis standing next to me.
Jarvis says "Maker, I have encountered a problem."
"What's wrong?"
Jarvis says "In order for me to catalog all of the books in Lady Lin's library I have used up all of my storage space. Since Lady Lin will be continuing to add more books, I believe that you will need to increase my data storage."
