You guys have just gone a tad beyond the halfway point of The Mage King's first draft, there is still slew of action and drama waiting for you! However this is the first draft and I can already tell you from working on the 2nd draft, a lot has changed. battles have been altered, plot points are different, character dialogue has been smoothed out, its a stronger read than the current one.
But when will Royal Road get the completed and final work?
Well I start uploading my amazon published works to Royal Road about 2 or 3 months after its been on sale, just so I can sell a few books and have a physical copy in peoples hands, but of course not everyone can afford to buy a book or amazon isn't available in your country. This is exactly the reason why I also put my self published works for free on Royal Road!

I admit The Dragon Realms Saga isn't very popular on this platform, I haven't found the same success as I have on amazon, BUT I still have some royal road readers. I get about 30-50 views on each chapter these days, so I know people are reading, and even if I saw 1 reader, that would justify my uploading to royal road. It was never about the money, it was always about gaining a community of readers.
SO...The second draft should be done in april, the 3rd draft should be done in may and Ill send it to my editor for the rest of the summer. It will hopefully be published in later summer, early spring, and then you guys who want to wait for the royal road postings, will see The Mage King winter 2024

Orennox is a wizard who has been around since the world was made. As technology progresses, magic tends to wane and Orennox adapts to the trends. Now called Oren Knox, he is mostly known as a gunfighter, a notoriously cheap gunfighter who will use magic to make one bullet do the work of many so he doesn't have to keep buying ammunition. His quest is to locate the last Earth Nodes, the last strongholds of magic, and harness their power with the goal of bringing back his trapped wife. In order to find these Earth Nodes, he must use the services of the female Diabolists (night witches) who can sense the magic from long distances. Only, Diabolists are extremely rare and there is a psychopathic killer out there who wants them all dead. After losing one Diabolist to fate, Oren must protect his new asset from those who would hunt her down and kill her so he can find enough magic to complete his quest. However, he is not the only wizard left looking for Diabolists, Diabolists have minds of their own, and, according to him, everyone Oren comes in contact with is a sidewinding, low down, scoundrel. No, I have not abandoned this story! I was hit hard by the economic downturn and high gas prices. I had to change careers and I am Just now starting to write again. Chapters coming.

Finally set free by happenstance, Amrin sets out to find the ones that locked him in the heart of a mountain. Find the answers he's been asking himself while conscious within the darkness. The world has changed in his time away. Learning new things, meeting new people, struggling with questions he may never get the answers to. He will journey through this new world and search for the "family" that betrayed him and figure out why they did it. If they did not have the answers he was looking for, there would be consequences. *This is a VERY HEAVY story driven fiction (read: can be slow!). There are some sections of action, drama and soon/eventually, mature related content (sexuality and gore). There are going to be sections with lots of text and little dialogue. There's going to be sections with lots of dialogue and little descriptive narration. ***Word of warning and advice. To save yourself the potential disappointment! The MC is mostly a pacifist! If you're looking for a super OP protagonist that uses his powers to get what he wants and to hell with the consequences, this story IS NOT for you. There are times when it should be obvious why, other's it's only implied. Either way, if you are expecting "shoot first ask questions later" mentality from the MC, regardless of how powerful he is, save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere. I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all the readers and commenters of my story. It's all the positive feedback and comments that really give me the motivation to keep going. Honestly.
