《Renewal and Rebirth》Next Arc

The next arc for Jai will share PoV with her sister Syha. Both will experience meeting with and learning about the other races.

I have increased Syha's age to fifteen and made her and Geon twins.

The new book cover has been uploaded. I hope you enjoy how the world is about to expand and how I free Jai from her duties as Queen to travel throughout this developed world.

There will be new professions added, and using Syha as a new Cultivator learning about these new professions, new skills and techniques the new races will offer, and how these new ideas will expand and increase the power and abilities of Jai's country.

Once I get Patreon 30 chapters ahead, I plan on increasing weekly RR posts. I still haven't decided between two or three chapters. It will probably be two with a third added when and if I have time and feel like it.

The synopsis on the opening page has been:

Jai survives smugglers, assassins, Cultivators, and petty young masters.

She has progressed to the Qi Gathering Realm for cultivation and claimed her barony as a reward.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Now it's time to make the most of the Heavenly opportunities she has encountered.

For those unfamiliar with my writing style, Second Chances was my first attempt at writing. I'm not sure how much I learned in the process, except that readers get angry when you mess with characters they like!

Warnings - I tend to info dump. I know I do this, I like slice of life novels that take time to unfold. So don't expect action, murder, and battles in every chapter, it isn't going to happen

I prefer the first-person narrative. I will do an occasional POV shift, but it will never be done mid-chapter.

I hope you enjoy the story; comments, ratings, and favorites are greatly appreciated!

If anyone has suggestions on how to update it and improve it, I'd be willing to credit you on the title page.

And now I have a bit of a glimpse into the prologue because I need 500 words in order to post this.

I watched as Father slunk out the door. Mother would have followed if given half a chance; neither parent dealt well when one of us was in pain. And Syha’s crying had reached the stage where she was hysterical.

I had approached Mother and Father weeks ago about protecting Geon and Syha. I had been forced to show them the remains of the toddlers we had discovered before they brought themselves to believe how serious the threat of Cultists truly was.

Once they realized that Geon and Syha were being targeted, it was an easy matter to convince them that they would need to be protected. The hard part was convincing them that the special circumstances of Geon and Syha’s growth and awakening as Cultivators meant would require them to become members of a Sect.

Father was easier to convince, but it didn’t take much to gain Mother’s permission. Elven society revolved around the importance of Sect life, and the prestige of becoming a member of even a lower-tiered Sect was something every parent hoped for their children.
