《The Alteras Games: World Jumper Book 2》Chapter 33

"You are not Jetsford." That is what the AI screamed at Ford.
Ford broke out in a laugh. "You're right, I'm not him. How could you tell, I look like him?"
"Please inside of here, it is easy to see you're not him." The AI crossed her arms in frustration. "And what is with the weird protocol you left in my system?"
"Fine, our name is Stax." He pulled a cracked soul out of their pocket. "Jetsford, that fool had a plan to destroy Filixerixix's souls. We decided to put a stop to him. The one known as Jetsford cannot destroy his soul, even if it destroys all of ours." Stax put Jetsford's soul crystal back in their pocket. "As for the protocols they should be self explanatory."
"I cannot make this man the new owner of the Tower. Until Joy either gives up the position or dies no one else may be connected to the Alteras Tower. The second option isn't likely. While under the Tower's protection he is nearly invulnerable." The AI pointed at Rodger. "So I can't make Rodger here the new owner."
"Joy should be dead soon. We sent a very determined person after him." Stax examined his fingernails.
"You could probably kill Joy. No average person can kill that man." The AI looked at more of the protocols.
"You need not worry. The one fighting him is a blood berserker, and Jetsford's grandson." Stax was glad Carion didn't hold the same magic as Jetsford. The guy would destroy everything in the universe if left unchecked.
"Then we shall see. There is another problem here. If I'm looking at this right you plan to reset time. That brings a whole lot of issues. I'm assuming that you'll use Jetsford as the anchor. But in doing this his timeline could go in reverse to the past. It may stay here in the present but not likely. Everything will return to a point in time that the Time Jumper has not effected." The AI frowned. "So even if I make Rodger the new owner of the Alteras Tower it could go back to Joy."
"Not if you make sure to take the Tower out of time while it resets. It is an anchored location, right? When it was built it was anchored right?" Stax's feeling about the plan faltered slightly.
"Yes, it is anchored. But, it is only at forty percent power. What your asking me to do needs at minimum sixty percent and for nothing to go wrong. If we didn't have Rodger to protect from the time reset, then it would be fine." After the AI mentioned that Rodger looked worried.
"We see, where is the Mag-Liv generator at. It can be filled before we go. Filixerixix and Jefferson are fighting. It is quite fascinating how well he is doing." Stax looked at the AI waiting. "No seriously we're in a hurry where is the generator." The floor opened up and a giant multicolored crystal. Stax put a hand on it and it glowed brightly. When he was done he turned to walk away.

"Stax, if you go out there you can't stop Filixerixix. You have almost no Mag-Liv left." The AI watched as Stax walked over to the door.
"It's fine." Stax used a reality slash and left the Tower. 'We are sure about what must be done? Yes, the Jetsford has rubbed off on us. Shall we go to our last fight?' Stax's minds fixed on their goal. With a step they were in front of Jefferson. They quickly talked with him and let him go back to the planet.
"Hello my family. How is everyone doing?" Stax smiled at them.
"What name did you chose?" Filixerixix asked.
"Stax, that will do for now." They stood and watched each other.
"You have been with them to long. You're starting to talk like them." Filixerixix waved at the planet.
"We have pretended to be one for so long now. Filixerixix, please go home. We do not wish to slay our own." Stax pleaded.
"You broke from us to help that creature."
"Stop, we will not have you treat Jetsford as a creature. When he is more than us. He is a Creator." Stax readied for a fight.
"You have no energy left to fight. So what will you do?" Filixerixix looked at the planet away from Stax. They were not a threat to him in their condition.
Stax smiled and a quarter of the moon shattered from their attack. Black flames coiled around them as they moved forward. "Filixerixix, it is time for us to go. Let the newer ones lead the way."
Filixerixix stood in front of Stax finally showing an emotion, anger. "You dare use soul destroying flames on us?"
The black flames coiled and flowed into Stax's hand. "We have gotten to old. Do you not recognize this flame?"
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
Filixerixix looked more closely. "A time reset, and we are going to be used as fuel. There is no way Jetsford would use his friend." A realization come over them. They turned to the planet. "There is another Time Walker here. We will put a stop to your error." A white fire covered the entire planet suddenly.
Stax moved in quickly to keep Filixerixix from moving the flames closer. They had created the flame but hadn't destroyed the planet. Mostly because the Alteras Tower had put a barrier around the world. That was why Stax had given so much energy up. The last of it was being used to hold time together. As for what they used to attack with, is their own soul energy. But still, the Tower couldn't hold back the flames long. At all costs they had to keep Filixerixix busy.
Filixerixix screamed in pain as several zilium blades stabbed him suddenly. "How, we can't control zilium?"
"Do not fear, for a hero is here." Stax's body changed shape to resemble Jefferson. Stax happened to find his soul floating around.
Filixerixix had not expected Jefferson to come back. That attack had did serious damage to them. Parts of his souls was leaking out now. Jefferson with them was a actual threat now.

The moon blew apart to reveal aluminum. Space around them glimmered with the metal. Then Stax made the aluminum into spears. The zilium that were swords broke apart to be put on there tips. With the help of everyone Jefferson could even bend the unbendable metal.
"Now that I know his soul has joined the fight. We can dodge everything you send." With that they did just that, dodged. But after a while the spears exploded when they neared them. Filixerixix for the first time was worried about losing a fight. The flames around the planet receded and wrapped around them. "We will not let time be reset. All of us will perish here and now."
Stax smiled and a cage formed around the both with zilium lining the bars. Filixerixix was confused, the cage could not stop the flames. But it spun slowly at first then rapidly after a few seconds. The cage slowly ate the flames until none were left. The cage fell to pieces and a sword fell between them. World Breaker glowed brightly after taking in all the energy. The sword however was never meant to hold Mag-Liv energy. So it broke down into dust. "Oh, none of you tell Jetsford I broke his sword. He might rekill me." Jefferson looked at the dust floating around.
Filixerixix couldn't believe the sword had taken in that much energy. With Stax constantly taking the energy around the galaxy. They wouldn't be able to recharge as fast, and using enough energy to destroy a planet was not a small amount. How had Stax tricked them into wasting so much energy? It hadn't helped that Jefferson joined the fight again and damaged their souls. Before the fight restarted Stax seemed to falter.
Filixerixix used this opportunity to create multiple black holes around them. Stax moved away with all do haste. They would like to teleport around, but their souls were stressed as is. Sense they couldn't use any energy they used Sky Breaker next. This was a special sword Arron used. The sword lit up with magic and in the hole on the blade lightning sparked. Stax waved the sword and it broke apart to extend slashing Filixerixix. Jefferson used his power to line the blade with zilium. As one of the pieces of blade entered Filixerixix body they teleported away. But, a piece stayed with them exploding. Once the piece of metal entered their body it had went with them.
Stax looked at the now reformed Sky Breaker. There was now a piece missing. If time wasn't reset, Jetsford would kill them for breaking two of his swords. However, that little trick they had pulled worked. Except now they were a miniature sun was forming. Filixerixix must have decided to stop holding back. Now the planet would truly be at risk. Even the Alteras Tower's barrier wouldn't hold up for long. They didn't know which race of people made the place. But, they had made it to protect this galaxy from them. So they decided to put everything on the line to make sure this place wasn't destroyed by them as well. A white mist leaked from their body as they let the limit go they had held.
While the miniature suns formed Stax poured his soul energy into Sky Breaker. The suns flew at them from all sides. Stax teleported around dodging trying to get closer to Filixerixix. Two of the suns hit each other breaking into several smaller ones. They were actually meteorites. Jefferson thought it was a shame none had metals. The others explained that Filixerixix knew his powers. There was no chance they would make any kind of metal, and Stax didn't have the Mag-Liv to waste on any.
Stax finally swung Sky Breaker again and it stretched to where it sliced Filixerixix again. Just like last time a piece of the sword stayed in him exploding. Jefferson figured that they only had enough platinum for three more strikes. It was not going to be enough. But the others calmed him. Their job was not to kill Filixerixix, it was to stall for time.
Stax faltered again and got struck by several meteors at once. They felt thousands of their souls get taken out. If a soul was given long enough it would regain energy. But that would take years if damaged. Stax only had over four hundred thousand left, and they started with over one million souls. Each x in there name was a representation of having a million souls.
This went on for a few minutes and Stax managed to get two more strikes on Filixerixix. Stax wanted to know what was taking Almark so long? They were going to run out of time soon. After that thought space seemed to split open in places. Stax no longer had enough energy to hold time together. But they could not let it fall apart just yet. So they closed them up using life energy which permanently destroyed some of their remaining souls. The gaps closed but if looked closely upon still was there.
Stax noticed then that the time had come. They felt the reset starting. Filixerixix had noticed as well and focused back on the planet. However, Stax created a dome of black flames around the all of them. They hoped that Filixerixix didn't notice they tossed Jefferson's soul away. The flames spun and wound around them. As if they were chains holding them down. On the outside of the flame dome a black chain shot down to the planet.
"Stax, you plan to use us as energy?" Filixerixix asked.
"Yes, we have decided to help this galaxy. We don't want to see this one fall." Stax felt the life being torn from them now.
"You know this won't end with us. When we disappear they will send even more of us next time." Filixerixix tried to break out of the chains of fire. But to much of their energy had been used, and what was left was being pulled out.
"Yeah, they will send double or triple of us next time."
