《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 140: Chimes of Melodies Part 2

"Then the alkorian with the katana went swish and zoom, then all the crystal monsters went... um kaboom?" Winter Lily said excitedly as she sounded slightly confused at the end of her sentence. Yokuza quietly listened to Winter Lily speak as he followed behind her walking around the large water fountain.
"But then this grey crystal monster, which wasn't an octopus, jumped out of nowhere, but then a green blur jumped between the katana guy and the crystal monster. The crystal monster then punched the green blur and it exploded like a-". Yokuza audibly sighed, making Winter Lily stop talking.
"As interesting as it is to listen to you recount such an encounter, I'd prefer if we moved on from walking in circles," Yokuza stated. Winter Lily confusedly huhed before she glanced around and realised they hadn't gone anywhere. Winter Lily awkwardly giggled and apologised for getting sidetracked. Yokuza remarked it was fine, and Winter Lily quickly guided Yokuza properly this time.
Elsewhere in the city, Lola silently stared at the handle of Blue Empress sticking out of one of her tails. She pushed the handle into her tail as Nola, Minia, Kusana, Snow, Scarlett, Destiny, Kara, Xero, and Tokubaiyashi (sitting on Kara's shoulder in his small dragon form) exited a D.P portal. Destiny raised her gaze to the towering pyramid-themed stadium covered in banners advertising Kurai Melody's upcoming concert.
"Remember to keep your earplugs in your ears," Xero stated as Nola closed the portal. The kids grumbled as they itched the insides of their ears.
"But it will muffle the music," Kusana and Snow whined in unison.
"Isn't muffling loud sounds the point of earplugs," Kara stated as she held Kurai-themed wind spinners and fuzzy earmuffs on her head. All the others, aside from Lola, continued to whine about the earplugs as Minia picked them up with her gelatin kitsune tails.

"Yeah-yeah, if you lot quit complaining I'll buy you sweets," Minia uttered. All the kids went silent before professionally sitting in a line on Minia's tails, and Minia sighed.
"At least that's dealt with, and now we have an hour before the concert starts," Nola remarked as a cloaked Zinvalia stood among the nearby crowd waiting to enter the stadium. Zinvalia glared at one of the many concert banners detailing Malfarothian Stadium.
"Why'd she have to be the one performing... not that I'll stop boss' plan over personal feelings," Zinvalia uttered as she looked at the V.I.P ticket and two duskstone(the shadowy dark grey stone) necklaces covered in carved inscriptions, emanating purple to magenta glows.
A few hours ago, Zinvalia aggressively tapped her finger against a muted dark blue marble table as she sat in an underground blacksmith. The smithy was filled with multiple stacks of duskstone tiles which Kukorama carved inscriptions into, along with the smouldering heat of the blazing furnace.

Wearing blacksmithing clothing and equipment, Lady Fox held a duskstone tile inside the blazing furnace using large metal pliers covered in form-fitting fire magic shield. She pulled the glowing tile out of the furnace and brought it to a fire-shielded metal table holding another superheated tile.
Wearing the same attire as Fox aside from having light mana gloves, Samantha used an opaque white crystal butcher knife to carve into a piece of angorthite until it was in a diamond shape. Samantha rose from her desk holding the two carved angorthite in her hands, and hurried over to Fox.
Samantha placed the angorthite on top of the super-heated duskstone tiles. Fox raised her hands to the tiles before she conjured a black mana ring which floated above the materials. The materials on the table shook under the presence of Fox's mana ring before the tiles broke apart and reformed around the angorthite into a necklace. Fox exhaustedly wiped her sweaty forehead while Samantha seemed unphased by the heat of the furnace.

"You're certainly better at making things compared to making unique azure ability users," Zinvalia remarked, causing Fox to grit her teeth and her ears to flick aggressively.
"For cooperation's sake, I'll take that as a compliment," Fox uttered as the necklaces cooled down. Fox raised her hand to her chest, and one of her mana rings appeared above herself. Zinvalia raised an eyebrow at Fox's action, and Samantha's snake tail giddily swayed while Samantha's expression remained in a neutral state. Fox bursted apart before reforming into a new body.
(Fox is now a short child female dark sakura-skinned oni; she has super curly long blonde hair with pink ends, sakura eyes, and two thin sakura horns on her forehead)
"Shoot, I push my age too far-.". Fox was abruptly picked up by Samantha. She put Fox into a tight bear hug. Fox frantically tried to squirm out of Samantha's grip until she broke free.
"My apologies, Lady Fox, your new form caught me off guard," Samantha stated in a monotone voice before she bowed. Fox said it was fine while Zinvalia rose to her feet.
"So your Recomposite AA can be used on yourself," Zinvalia said as she placed a hand on her chin. Fox sighed and turned to the thinking Zinvalia.
"Before you ask, yes, it can be used on people, but the reason I didn't use it on the kids your boss had me kidnap is for a simple reason," Fox stated sternly while Samantha was combing Fox's hair.
"Which is?".
"Despite my lack of a reaction, when my ability is used on people it hurts like... well getting your body ripped apart," Fox explained as Samantha stylied Fox's hair to look like large curly horns.
"So, you do have some morals," Zinvalia said jokingly. Fox pouted at Zinvalia's remark before Fox placed her white fox mask on the back of her head.
"I don't think you or your boss has any right to judge other people's morals," Fox uttered. She headed off for the staircase with Samantha following behind her. As Fox left the room, the furnace abruptly shut off, basking the room in a low level of light. Zinvalia sighed and glanced at the angorthite necklaces as they emitted their purple glow.
Back in the present, Zinvalia continued to stare at the necklaces as she was lost in thought. She stored the necklaces in her pocket before looking forward as people began to enter Malfarothian Stadium. Zinvalia groaned as she placed a black version of Fox's fox mask over her face.
