《White Mage in Another World [Redux]》Its been a while, some good news and bad news.

Hey guys, its been a minute since the last chapter. The better part of 4 months if my math is right. You may wonder what I've been up to.
Last you saw me I was preparing for the big rewrite, working on side projects, and so on. To be fair that is true, I've been working on those things. But at the same time I'm nowhere near ready. Right now I'm only about 1/4th done with the rewrite of the first arc (which I'm extending from 8ish chapters to a feature length book), and haven't touched the in-progress version for months. That brings me to the bad news.
With the amount of work I've put into the rewrite, I can't justify going back and continuing the older version because it would be a logistical and documentation nightmare. But at the same time I don't want to disappear into the ether and have everyone who was a fan wonder where I went. I was on the wrong end of that pain too many times and I don't want to be that guy.
At the moment, I have about 30k words written in mostly solid form, that being the first 5 chapters at roughly 5.5k words a piece, some are longer and others are shorter. I could share them, but i would hate to deliver those 5 chapters and have people waiting for weeks for the next one (They would be in a new story).
So if anyone is still here and willing to bear with me, let me know what you think I should do. Because right now contiuing this version isn't the path, but I don't want to vanish. If you have any suggestions, or you think just posting what I have so far and updating as it comes it fine, I'm willing to listen.

Lastly, thank you all for hitting 400 followers and 100 favorites, even though my lack of updates dropped me back down below 400. It really means a lot that this story didn't crash and burn the moment I stopped updating.
Edit: I didn't make it clear in the original post so I'll add it here. This is a complete story rewrite the same general sequence of events will take place that being Andromeda entering the new world and then becoming an arch mage but pretty much everything between the beginning and the end of that particular segment is vastly expanded to a full-size book or at least that's my plan. As of the moment I'm five chapters into that working on the 6th at the current rate that I'm going at. I should have the full first book written in about 3 months give or take, The reason it doesn't seem like I did a whole lot between when I said I started and now is because a lot of that was behind the scenes work and remaking everything that I need to remake. Overall, I think this new version is better in every single way and is actually worth being the beginning of this story that I want to tell. At the current rate that I've been going for the last few weeks, it should take me about 3 to 4 more months to reach where I want to be and definitely at the very least it won't be more than 6 months, but keep in mind that's going to be a full-sized book so this isn't going to be some small thing.
I think that if you guys are even a quarter as excited at I am about this. It's going to be a knockout. Anyway, thanks again for reading, I promise you you'll love it

8 305The Luckless Mage of Greidwhen Academy
A TOURNAMENT OF SORCERERS… AND THE MISFIT WHO ENTERED IT. Ever since she was a little girl, Lucy Hardtvelt has wanted to attend the same academy of magic her mother had graduated from, as well as compete in the same, famous Sorcerers Tournament hosted there every year. And finally, after having her application accepted, Lucy is jubilant to begin her first year at the prestigious Greidwhen Academy for Mages. Unfortunately, Lucy soon finds that, unlike her mother, she herself has little to no aptitude in the magical arts—struggling to keep even the most basic of spells from blowing up in her face. Now, having been given a harsh dose of reality, Lucy must find out if she has what it takes not only to survive at Greidwhen, but also the Sorcerer’s Tournament and its one-thousand contestants where the winner will be given the title of Champion Sorcerer, as well as the right to challenge the Celestial Mages—who are known to have been defeated only a handful of times…
8 221The Nightcore Trilogy
Going to space was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but for Reece Danielson and his crew, it was only the beginning. As the fresh astronauts aboard the Zhengzhou International Space Station start their on-the-job training, Reece is shown a discovery that changes his entire worldview. It isn’t long before a tragic accident aboard the station sets off a series of events that not only puts the crew in danger but at odds with each other. The events quickly escalate into a man-made apocalyptic incident on the surface of the planet. A virulent plague is prematurely released which transforms everyone into flesh-eating undead, and that is only the beginning of the troubles. There are far worse things down there than zombies and possibly a few of them lurk on the station itself. The Nightcore Trilogy thematically begins with a heavy sci-fi feel coupled to a gritty space-based horror mystery. The story's layers are slowly peeled back, evolving into something much more supernatural, mythological, and high-fantasy-based. It's a mix of elements from survival horror, zombie apocalypses, ancient mythologies, supernatural stories, and harem anime. It contains semi-descriptive sex scenes (traditional and non-traditional), descriptions of gore, profanity, and adult situations, so I recommend it for mature and open-minded audiences only.

8 136Coalescence of Two Lifetimes
Cilen was you typical, run-of-the-mill kinda guy. Well, until his parents passed away when he was 17 forcing him to learn to grow up. Fast. He figured it wouldn't be that bad. He had a house, he had an inheritance, he had friends that kept him company. And at first, it really wasn't anything But sometimes, the loneliness just gets to you. Sometimes, the expectation to not disappoint just gets to you. Sometimes, life just gets to you. And it brought Cilen to his knees, lamenting, cursing, questioning, "why?" "Why did his parents pass away as they did, forcing him to fend for his own?" "Why wasn't he born in a rich household, with a silver spoon in his mouth that catered to his every need?" "Why was every step forwards so difficult, in this accursed society?" He wished that everything would be easy, like inside the worlds of the wuxia novels that he had grown up reading. Special constitution, lucky breaks, fast powerup, get all the chicks and defeat the big evil guy. Simple, easy, satisfying. But life ain't cut out to be that way. The main actors were already set, and there was no changing them. Unless, you moved to a different stage... But this ain't one of your friendly neighborhood transmigrations. It rewards those that are patient, creative and willing to adapt. But perhaps Cilen is able to make use of this opportunity and become something more. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ This story is a personal love letter to all the pieces of fiction that I have read. Its a culmination of the things that made me laugh, cry and smile when I first read them and It has been a personal wish to craft a story that makes me feel the way I did when reading those stories for the first time. Its gonna be a slow ride but worth it. Promise. Photo by Johannes Plenio on Unsplash
