《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 978 Hope

Lin says "If you know both summoning spells and can teach them to me I might be able to figure something out."
Krenocia says "The spell the king's mage used is easy enough. The problem is that my spell used divine power so I'm not sure if you will understand it."
"Forget it. To be summoned again would mean I would have to leave first. The objective here is to not kill me."
Myria says "Who said anything about killing you?"
"What do you think unsummoning me would do? I was dead when I was summoned and put into this body."
Krenocia says "Ash may be right. Unsummoning him would disperse the rest of my power that is still inside him. I will still teach Lin the spells, she may come up with other options."
"True, Lin is very good at coming up with magical options. Are you going to teach me the spell too?"
Krenocia says "No! The last thing I want is you playing around with summoning! Lin, you have to promise me that you won't teach him the spells if I teach them to you."
Brightfire says "What's the big deal with Ash learning summoning?"
Myria says "Probably because he would end up summoning demons to eat, or something equally as crazy."
Lin says "I promise, Krenocia."
"Oh, come on! What if I promise not to summon any demons?"
Krenocia says "Will you also promise not to summon anyone or anything from your old world?"
"Anyone, sure! How about if I promise not to summon any weapons? That should be good enough, right?"
Lin says "What would you want to summon then?"
"I've been gone for a while, there has to be new anime and manga that have come out since I left!"
Lin says "Oh! Krenocia, surely that wouldn't hurt anything, right?"

Krenocia says "Why are you suddenly on his side? That might not hurt anything, but Ash wouldn't stop there. Eventually he would summon some monstrosity that couldn't be controlled."
Myria says "She's right. Ash never knows when enough is enough."
Krenocia says "Arguing about it is pointless. The answer is no and it will remain a no."
"Alright, fine. Although, it isn't summoning that you should worry about, it is the opposite. Honestly, I would summon anime if I could, but my main goal would be to reverse the spell."
Krenocia says "To what purpose?"
"To send back those of the summoned that want to return. I would also probably want to send monsters and magic back to my world to shake things up a bit."
Lin says "Would reversing the spell even be possible?"
"It should be. One of the options I was given for after the war is to be able to return home. That doesn't interest me, but some of the others would probably want to go home."
Krenocia says "Do you have any idea of the repercussions that would happen if you sent magic into your world?"
"Not a clue. But I bet it would be interesting!"
Lin says "Krenocia, if I figure out how to reverse the spell would it be alright to send back those that want to go? I promise not to teach Ash how to do it or send magic and monsters through."
Krenocia says "As long as it is only returning those that were summoned it should be fine."
"You are going to let Lin do it but won't let me?!"
Brightfire says "Lin is a lot more stable than you are and she made a promise."
Myria says "Yeah, Ash, no one is worried about Lin destroying a world."
"I don't want to destroy my old world, just make it less boring. Either way, I am never returning to it."

Lin says "Then why do you want to mess with it at all?"
"I don't know, it just sounds fun."
Krenocia says "We have gone way off topic, which seems to happen a lot with you, Ash. Did you have any more questions for me?"
Myria says "We wanted to ask how Ash getting stronger is affecting his time limit?"
Krenocia says "I am not sure why, but his last evolution greatly increased his time. Since then it has dropped slowly as he grew stronger."
Lin says "So, him getting stronger is shortening his time, but his next evolution might increase it?"
Krenocia says "It is possible, but I don't know for sure. As far as I know, Ash is taking a completely unique path. There is no way to predict what he is going to do to himself next."
Brightfire says "He has this thought that if he can evolve the right way it might remove his time limit completely. Is that even possible?"
Krenocia says "Actually, it is. It would require him reaching a power level high enough to be able to generate his own lifeforce. The odds of finding the right path and reaching such a level are pretty slim though."
Lin says "Do you think it would be better for Ash to stop and stay as he is?"
Krenocia says "Probably, yes. However, I very much doubt that Ash will listen to any of us on that score. Asking him to not grow stronger is about as useless as asking him to not be curious."
"Would the four of you like me to leave so you can talk about me openly?!"
Myria says "No way. That wouldn't be as fun!"
Lin says "I notice that you didn't try to deny what Krenocia just told us."
"Why bother? It's true. Even if the odds are against me, I still have to try."
Brightfire says "Why?"
"Because I have something to live for now."
Lin blushes as Krenocia gives her a knowing look, but Lin doesn't look unhappy about it. With all their questions answered Krenocia soon leaves, but Myria and Brightfire remain.
Lin says "Well, at least we now know it is possible, if not easy."
"Nothing is ever easy."
Myria says "You plan to keep trying to evolve don't you?"
"Yes. Although I plan to take my time and not rush into anything."
Brightfire says "That is an improvement, at least from the stories I have heard."
Myria says "Good point. Ash, when did you learn caution?!"
"It is a recent thing, but I thought I would give it a try. The odds are against me, but if I am careful maybe I can improve them a bit."
Lin says "At least now we have hope. Before it was just an unconfirmed guess."
Brightfire says "I don't fully understand what is going on, but if there is anything I or any of the elves can do to help, just say the word."
"Thank you, Brightfire."
Myria says "I wish I was with you so that I could help too!"
"Don't worry. I won't be trying to evolve anytime soon. By the time I do, I will be back on the peninsula."
Lin says "Meaning if he tries something stupid you can help me smack some sense into him."
Myria says "I've tried that already. All it really does is hurt your hand."
Lin says "Not if you coat your hand in mana. I will teach you how when we finally get to meet in person."
"Hey, let's not encourage abuse!"

The Edge of Endless
Due to some unforseen and significant life events, this story will be on hiatus for a time. Reborn into a strange but familiar world, Alex makes it his mission to uncover the mysteries of governments, gods, and the arcane realm known only (and inaccurately) as the Unending Depths. Slowly but surely, he grows in ability and meets new and interesting people. tEoE is an epic fantasy LitRPG with a focus on plot, writing, and hopefully original twists on the standard formula of 'MC picks cool class, levels up'. Give it a read if any of the following appeals to you: > 3000-5000 words per chapter, chapters released at least once per week, usually several times. Expect good grammar. > Story focus on illusions, secrets, and traps (along with the usual combat and character stuff). > Progression fantasy, but one where progress is meant to feel earned, moderately paced, and reasonable. Some advantages, but not big, unfair ones. > If a random reader can work out that putting a big rock in a bag of holding, lifting it, and then dropping the rock is free energy, then so could an adventurer who's owned a bag of holding for twenty years. Side characters have brains too. > Blue boxes! Levels! [Classes]! [Skills]! Loot! > No uncomfortable sexist undertones. Ambivalent about including relationships. Definitely no harems. There are a number of arcs planned and this will be ongoing for some time. I am very appreciative of the kind reviews and comments left so far.

Empathic capacity of a teaspoon
Reincarnating with the gamer interface was all a part of the plan, being reborn as Ron Weasley not so much. It was something I could work with, sure. Magic is great! But as I would soon learn, it had the tendency of introducing a plethora of other issues.
