Before I start on that, I return to my normal size and serve lunch for everyone. It is really fun watching Athena try eating different things for the first time. For her sake, I lay out a buffet style lunch so that she can try lots of different things.

Athena really enjoys it, so do Lin and the kids, we don't do buffet style often. Once I am done eating I start the enchantments for the choker, the ones I know anyway. There are still a few new ones that I need to experiment with before I add them.

When Lin sees me start experimenting, she comes over to offer her advice. With her help I am able to figure out the other enchantments I need, including concealment. Unfortunately, the best I can do is get it to hide about half of the actual power level.

Once all the enchantments are in place I have Lin drip a few drops of blood onto the emerald. Then, I use that to attune everything to Lin and then tie all the enchantments to the emerald. The last thing I need to do is put the sliver of emerald from making the hole into the ring.

The set enchantment will enhance all the enchantments of both the ring and the choker. That is the last thing that I needed to do, so I hand the ring and the choker to Lin. She puts the ring on first, then the choker, as soon as she does her eyes go wide.

Lin says "Ash, what did you do?!"

"Um, I made you a better choker just like you asked. What, don't you like it?"

Lin says "It's not that I don't like it, but I am afraid of it! There is more magic in this thing than the castle!"

"Well yeah, I didn't make the castle into an artifact yet."

Lin says "An artifact?! Are you insane?! You want me to wear an artifact around my neck?!"

"Yes, yes, and yes. Only you can use it, if you don't then it is worthless."

Lin says "How did you even make an artifact? Only gods are supposed to be able to do that!"

"My skill in enchanting has progressed. Anyone can do it given enough knowledge and practice."

Lin says "But you didn't even use any special materials!"

"Better materials just make it easier, they are not required. True, it takes more skill to put that many enchantments into normal materials without them disintegrating. I wouldn't have been able to succeed if I hadn't had some much practice lately. In fact, I am honestly fairly surprised that it worked. I was expecting it to take multiple tries before I managed to actually make an artifact."

Lin says "I am sorry for yelling at you, but you really caught me by surprise. I never imagined that you could actually make an artifact, let alone one for me to wear around my neck. I am having more than a little trouble wrapping my head around it."

Athena says "It is quite an impressive item. Does this mean you will be improving my enchantments?"

"Yes, but not until I make the changes as part of phase two. We will discuss several things about the ship before that happens."

Athena says "That's fine. I am not in any rush and it gives me something to look forward to."

Lin says "Why do I have a list of spells in my head?"

"Those are the spells that you can cast through the choker. They will used the stored mana and cast instantly with just a thought. Think of it as wands built into the choker. It is an experiment, so you will need to test them out. Preferably before you need them in combat."

Lin says "You mean I can cast all of them without using any of my own mana?! That's amazing!"

"Yes. If it works then I will be able to add spells into the ship's enchantments that Athena can cast. Not to mention making better wands for the elves to use."

Lin says "What are the command words?"

"There are none. The choker will read your thoughts. Just think fireball and a target and it should cast the spell."

Lin says "I didn't think magic could work this way. Where did you even come up with an idea like this?"

"Remind me later in the soulscape and I will show you some anime about cheating with magic."

Lin says "It amazes me that you can take ideas from made up stories and use them in reality. The way your mind works scares me a little at times."

"Sorry for scaring you, but anime has been of great help to me since I came to this world. The ideas from some anime have fit very well with this world and have been a great inspiration to me. I even think that if I didn't watch tons of anime, Krenocia's spell wouldn't have chosen me."

Lin says "If that is the case, then I am very glad that you watched anime. Considering this choker, I would have to say that anime is an amazing source of ideas."

"It is, it has also been the inspiration for some of my less successful ideas."

Lin says "Hasn't it also been the inspiration for the successful one as well? Or are you blaming anime just for the failures?"

"No, you are right. Anime has been the inspiration for most of my ideas. Without it, I honestly don't have many ideas of my own, except the insane ones."

Lin says "I know I have called you insane a few times, but I don't actually think you are insane."

"Oh, but I am. At least partially. I don't think anyone could see and go through the things I did after being summoned without going a little insane. It actually took me quite a while to realize it and I'm sorry to say that you are going to have to deal with the issues I have from all of that."

Lin says "That's alright. I have a few issues of my own, as you already know. I am more than willing to help you sort out your issues and hope you feel the same."

"Of course I do."

Lin says "That's a good thing. By the way, what is this ring even for?"

With a smile I reach out, thread my finger through the ring, pull Lin over to me, and kiss her. She is surprised at first, but quickly starts kissing me back and even climbs into my lap. If it wasn't for the kids and Athena being here, things would probably get much more interesting.

Lin says "If that is what it is for, then I completely approve of the ring."

"That is one of the uses. Normally it is used to attach a leash."

Lin says "What is the point of that? Are you sure this is meant for people?"

"You know that some people are natural leaders and others are natural followers, right?"

Lin says "Yes, of course, but what does that have to do with it?"
