Mermaid Arc. Chapter 5: The Oasis.

Valoran and the Mermaids arrive in front of the castle Blackburg. “This is my castle.” Valoran informs them.

The Guards greet their Master bowing in front of him. “Lord Silver.”

“Any news?” Valoran questions to ensure that everything is going in well.

“No my lord. Everything is going well.” A female human replies.

“That's good. Please rise and keep up the good work.” Valoran kindly instructs.

“Your Kingdom is so lively Lord of Magic” Limenria observes in amazement.

“Our lady is right, your Kingdom has many fascinating places. All these different food stalls, attractions and stores are amazing.” Siestine says with excitement.

“Perhaps we could visit them.” Velvia says with a shy tone.

“Of course, I will show you around the capital once we are done here.” Valoran kindly replies.

“Thank you, we appreciate it.” Limenria utters with sincerity.

“Now then let's head in.” Valoran and the Mermaids walk past the gates and head for the castle door.

The guards open the door for them.

Valoran and the others walk inside the castle.

Inside the castle maids and butlers are responsible for maintaining the castle's mint condition.

“We greet our Lord.” All the maids and butlers lower their heads.

“Raise your heads, please continue with your work.” Valoran instructs with a respectable tone the Mermaids notice how kindly he treats his subordinates.

“My Lord.” Demonlise calls out from a distance.

“Demonlise good timing.” Demonlise kneels in front of Valoran

“I greet you my master.” Demonlise says with sincerity.

“Rise my friend.” Valoran replies.

Demonlise gets back on his feet and Valoran is introducing the Mermaids to him.

“Queen Limenria, Siestine and Velvia, this is my second in command Demonlise Elyonus.”

“Demonlise, these are Queen Limenria ruler of the Mermaid race.” Valoran stretches out his hand toward Limenria.

“Greetings Demonlise, pleasure to meet you.” She bows her head.

“The pleasure is all mine.” Demonlise shakes her hand.

“These are Siesta, the second in command of the Mermaid race, this is Velvia, a Mermaid warrior.” Valoran stretches out his hand toward both Siesta and Velvia.

“Greetings.” Both Mermaids bow their heads at Demonlise.

“It's an honor to meet you both.” Demonlise shakes their hands.

“Please follow me.” Valoran kindly asks the Mermaids.

“My Lord, I have some news to report.” Demonlise says with slight concern.

Valoran, who can see Demonlise's concern, knows that something serious must have happened.

“I see, wait for me Demonlise, I will show our guest to the Oasis.”

“I understand my lord.” Demonlise bows his head.

Valoran leads the Mermaids further into the castle.

“Magic King, your castle is enormous from the outside but inside it looks even bigger.” Siesta looks around in amazement.

“This castle is made out of my Magic, it bends to my will. All I need to do is think of the castle's interior size and it will grow provided that I have enough magic.” Valoran explains.

“When I became the ruler, I expanded this castle endlessly, creating more rooms and facilities for my subordinates to live here if wanted.” Valoran further explains.

“How does one know their place around here?” Velvia questions with curiosity.

“Of course there are various maps around the castle indicating room numbers and floors, there are teleportation circles which teleport my subordinates to where they want to go within the castle.” Valoran further explains.

“That's incredible.” Siesta says with amazement.

“As a matter of fact let's use one of these circles. We need to head to floor 34 where the Oasis is located.” Valoran proposes.

“Great idea!” Velvia says with excitement.

Valoran and the Mermaids make their way to a teleportation circle on the ground.

They step on the teleportation circle, Valoran thinks of floor 34.

At an instant they arrive on floor 34.

“We are on the correct floor please follow me.” Valoran leads the Mermaids to an enormous double door.

“Through this door lies the Oasis. This bath can heal your deepest wounds caused by the curse.” Valoran knocks on the door.

An elvish maid comes out from the door.

“Greetings Master.” She bows her head.

“Mira, please show them the Oasis.”

“Yes Master, please follow me.”

Mira leads the Mermaids inside to the Oasis.

“I'll see you later” Valoran bids goodbye for now.

The Mermaids are when they see the image in front of them.

In front of them they see a ginormous bath in a circle shaped form.

“This is incredible.” Queen Limenria says almost speechless.

“The fragrance is so refreshing!” Siestine says with excitement.

“Your right lady Siesta!” Velvia also says with excitement.

“Dear Guests, this is the Oasis for the women section.” Mira explains.

“Please get changed inside here.” Mira leads the Mermaids to the changing rooms.

“We appreciate it.” Queen Limenria replies.

The Mermaids went to the changing rooms where they got ready to take a bath in the Oasis.

With towels wrapped around them the Mermaids are ready to take a dip inside the Oasis, they are not the only ones as other female soldiers from various species also enjoy the Oasis to replenish magic and heal all wounds and fatigues.

“Please enjoy.” Mira says with kindness.

“Let's get in then.” Queen Limenria says with ambitious intent.

The Mermaids take their first steps into the Oasis.

The moment they step into the Oasis they feel a great sensation.

“This feeling…” Velvia says with amazement.

“I only stepped in and I feel so much more relaxed.” Siestine says with a calm tone.

“Huh…I have never felt this relaxed before and…we have only just stepped in.” Limenria says with shock to see how well the Oasis relaxes one's body so quickly.

The three move over to a spot and lay down fully submerging themselves just below the shoulders.

“Ahhhh…” All three of them say in unison in deep relaxation.

“This feeling is just…” Queen Limenria says fully relaxed.

“-Relaxation…” Siestine finishes off her sentence also fully relaxed.

“All my fatigue is gone…” Velvia says with a calm relaxed tone.

The other female soldiers move toward the Mermaids.

“Uhm, excuse us.” An elvish soldier says with a nervous tone.

“Yes, how can we help you?” Queen Limenria replies with a kind tone.

“Is it true that you are Mermaids?” A female demon questions with a nervous tone.

“Yes we are. I'm the queen of the Mermaid race. My name is Limenria, these are my loyal subordinates Siestine and Velvia.” Queen Limenria introduces kindly.

The females are all fascinated to meet the Mermaids who have only existed in legends.

“WOAA!”

“I can't believe we get to meet Mermaids!”

“They are so beautiful!” The soldiers all share among themselves in excitement.

“How do you feel about the Oasis?” The soldiers ask the Mermaids.

“It feels so refreshing!” Velvia immediately replies with excitement.

“It's very relaxing…I feel stronger than ever.” Siestine answers in a relaxed tone.

“It sure is amazing, I was cursed thousands of years ago damaging me eternally…” Queen Limenria shares with a saddened tone.

The soldiers gasp in shock.

“That's horrible!”

“Who would do such a thing?!”

The soldiers ask with anger and frustration.

“It was a powerful God.” Queen Limenria answers.

“Of course it was a God!”

“Despicable!”

“Gods only bring nothing but misery!”

“Curse them instead!” The soldiers all share their negative opinions about the Gods.

“It's fine…The Magic King has invited me to take a bath in the Oasis to try and heal my internal injuries.” Queen Limenria informs.

“Your King is very kind and has helped us.” Siestine says with gratitude.

“We are very grateful to him.” Velvia adds on with sincerity.

“Indeed…I believe we will join the alliance with him.” Queen Limenria informs with a smile.

“We have been sitting in the bath for 15 minutes and we feel so relaxed and refreshed…I have never experienced this.” Velvia informs everyone.

“That's because the elves deliver recovery potions to us which combined with the Magic Kings healing magic causes effective healing waters.” One of the Soldiers informs.

“That's brilliant!” Siestine is visually impressed.

“I can feel my wounds getting healed although the process is slow given how long the curse was in effect.” Queen Limenria informs.

“We are glad to hear that!” The soldiers tell the Mermaids.

“We also own the King of Magic for another thing that he did for us…” Queen Limenria expresses holding her hands on her chest

The Mermaids look slightly confused and the female soldiers are eagerly waiting to hear what Queen Limenria has to say about Valoran.

“I-I pushed my ideals of hatred against the surface of the future generations of Mermaids.” She says with regret.

“But that's not-” Siestine gets cutted off.

“Siestine, I never gave the surface dwellers a chance for change and condemned the same hate I had for the past surface dwellers. It was not fair to hold the hatred I had for the past onto the future.” Queen Limenria says with further sadness.

“That was until I met your King, he showed me and the entire Mermaid race that the surface has changed and has become Kind.” Queen Limenria says with happiness replacing the sadness she had.

“It's not your fault!”

“She is right! We couldn't believe it but since you Mermaids are real it must also be true that in the past your race used to be hunted.”

“It's our ancestors' fault for causing your people pain, Lady Limenria.”

The Mermaids are stunned, they see the understanding and kindness that is being shown to them which is totally different from what the Mermaids were expecting, they expected the Soldiers to defend the surface population.

“We thank you all.” Queen Limenria says with a tear of happiness running out down her cheek.

“It's truly an honor to meet you all, you are all just as kind and understanding as your master.” Velvia bows her head with sincerity.

“We look forward to working with you!” Siesta says with a smile filled with joy.

“So do we!” The soldiers reply with excitement.

The Soldiers and Mermaids continue to hold the great conversation.

Inside the throne room…

Valoran meets up with Demonlise to talk about the urgent matter…

“My Lord, I have something to give you.” He bows his head.

“What is it?” Valoran questions with concern.

“Earlier today… A letter was found on your thorne.” Demonlise pulls out a letter from his pocket.

Valoran grabs the letter and opens the envelope.

Valoran begins to read the letter.

“This is…” Valoran mutters in a serious tone.
