《INTO THE ARCHAILECT》chapter 255

Ajax twisted with a sharp deft of Voidbringer, the chaos weapon turning aside a clash of Azael’s scythe with his, rolling away from the after effects as he was on his feet the next minute, tearing across the landscape towards the being that had once been his father. Creatures born of chaos itself manifesting in their hundreds, each a terrible sight to behold, each speaking in a thousand whispers that drowned the world in a torrent of chaotic energies.
It fed both he and Azael, infusing them even with more power as they thundered across the entire planet in the blink of an eye, chaotic skills powerful enough to decimate an entire planet eating away at the both of them the faster it healed them as well. Activating rift breaker, an ability of Voidbringer.
Rift breaker: By channellingchaos energy into the Voidbringer, the wielder can unleash devastating rifts in space itself. With a powerful swing, the blade tears open temporary portals to the chaotic void, summoning tendrils of raw chaos to strike down enemies. These rifts can disrupt magic, sunder defences, and inflict devastating chaos-based damage upon impact.
Raw chaotic energies flooded the planet, wiping out the creatures as well whose very nature prevented them from coalescing due to the powerful aspect of chaos. He and Azael weathered it though, the skeletal creature chuckling.
“Do you see now, Ajax?” it said, its voice resonating around the planet.
“Do you see the raw power it holds; it promises?” Azael continued.
“One by one, the systems will fall, galaxies will be washed, purified, till a blank slate is left, then and only then, Ajax, will he step forth to put an end to the blasphemous supreme beings” Azael finished.
“All I see here is the ravings of a mad man, and I will treat it as such” Ajax replied and swung Voidbringer again.
The scythe of the reaper came down on Ajax, but he activated two skills native to his chaos ability.
Mortalbane Aura: Emits an aura that weakens and disrupts the abilities of all nearby opponents. This skill drains their strength, saps their vitality, and makes their attacks feeble and ineffectual. Void Imprisonment: Summons the powers of the void to trap enemies within an inescapable prison of darkness. This skill renders foes helpless, draining their life force and sapping their abilities while shielding the boss from harm.
A large bubble of chaotic energy surrounded him even as an oily liquid rose to protect Azael, coating his skeletal frame as he chuckled.
“Whatever skill he bestowed upon you, I have as well child, we simply cannot end each other, not yet anyways” Azael said.
The second skill activated, void imprisonment tearing a large gap into the fabric of the chaotic planet itself as the chaos creatures still existing scrambled away from the black hole, large hands grabbing Azael who struggled against them, laughing.
“You think yourself safe child?!” he roared.
“I merely do his bidding, as do you!” Azael finished as he was dragged through the pathway into whatever that place was, sealed away.
Stumbling as the pathway closed, he glanced around at the chaotic creatures whose shapes changed sporadically, all staring at him with hunger in their eyes. He raised Voidbringer, tattered cloak flapping in the air.
“Well?, bring it” he said.
Chaos had no leader, no command, and with the planet steeped in the power itself, it would always devolve into its base state.

Chaos.
The moment they lunged for him, Ajax felt the power in the air, chaos burning all around him as he glanced upwards in shock.
“Moyo?” he said.
A lance of purple light burned through the atmosphere of the planet, crashing into the ground burning away creatures of the abyss in their numbers. Creating just one round sphere where the taint of the abyss had been cleared, and stepping out of the lance of light, with burning golden runic circles beneath their feet were three harbingers and Xerxes?. Ajax paused on that last one, seeing as the dragon brigade commander wore pure white and gold robe, brimming with not the sun-burning aspect but that of Eses, the cosmic dragon.
Zane true blade swung his blade, intent blistering with just a touch of the titan’s aspect burning apart chaos monsters in their numbers. Xerxes’s eyes locked on his and Ajax felt the overbearing alarm to raise his blade, white burning energy lancing towards him with pure power. Twisting in the air, he caught sight of two powerful messengers coming out of the runic circle with rage in their eyes. One burning with the power of raw aspect and the other, a hulking figure with pure blistering aura.
Rolling away from a crushing blow that came from Grimswolf, the harbinger grinning as his arcane clawed gauntlets ripped through the space Ajax’s head was before.
“Stop!” Ajax shouted.
His body immediately twisted away before his mind warned him as Zane moved with near light speed, his blade a blur even as it danced with aspect of a supreme being itself that burned chaos.
“no” Ajax thought with startle.
It wasn’t the aspect of the supreme being, granted it was keeping the forces of chaos at bay, blistering the air, keeping the sphere in which, they rained down their powers from clean, it wasn’t actively purging the power of chaos, it was the aspect of the titan blade.
Rage infused his very being as he swung his blade, clashing with that of Zane, the explosion of power blowing away the creatures of the abyss.
“What did you do with him?!” he roared in the face of the true blade.
Zane’s eyes glowed, the aspect of the true blade humming in concert with that of his supreme being.
“I wonder” the cold voice of the harbinger replied.
A scream of power came from above, Grimswolf feline aura suffusing his body as his punch, literally bearing the weight of an entire planet came crashing down on Ajax, apocalyptic nova met it.
Apocalyptic Nova: Channels an immense amount of power to create a cataclysmic explosion, engulfing the entire area and inflicting massive damage to all enemies within range. The blast radiates chaos, corrupting and destabilizing those caught in its wake.
Ajax feeling his body break into the crystalline grounds of the planet with a shudder, agony running through his form as he held back the force of the blow.
“Oh?, impressive” Grimswolf snarled.
A large chaotic creature shot its tendrils at the harbinger of Draulr who flipped away, a roar breaking forth from his throat. The resonance obliterated the creature even as Xandros came from on high, white burning chains in hand that wrapped around Ajax, the Chaosborne feeling his core and power shudder before a blade to the chest by Zane the true blade staring at him with such feral intensity, he felt a cold feeling running through his spine.

“you’re holding back” he said.
“I don’t see how that’s relevant; we need to get out of this place” Xerxes said.
“Xandros is right, we need to leave” Grimswolf said, still in his Fenrai state.
“Xandros?” Ajax thought.
Did the brigade leader have a brother, that was irrelevant at this point, he growled.
“You fools!, I’m the only one holding him back” he said, chocking on his blood.
“Him?” Grimswolf asked.
A tear in space precipitated the messengers who were floating above them to whirl with terror in their eyes.
“We need to leave!” the one burning with intent said.
“hello” a voice said, coming from the tear as Ajax watched with pure terror.
“Release me, you can’t fight him alone!” he raged.
Xandros ignored him, snapping his fingers as a shimmering scale armor settled on his body, a burning white claw on his left hand and a white rune infused blade in his right hand. The messengers floated to their respective harbingers, somehow fusing with them as Zane and Grimswolf’s presence on the planet burned brighter. Azael stepped through the portal as different shadowy forms followed as well, flying all around him.
“Such bright lifeforms” he said, his voice shaking the planet.
Glancing at Ajax, he shook his head even as he raised the scythe, Ajax concentrating, willing a skill to activate, bending his entire willpower along with it, agony racing through him.
“DIE” Azael said and swung the scythe, the messenger infused harbingers swinging their blades as well.
Ajax felt the chaotic energies of the planet heed his plea, activating that one skill he hadn’t used.
Fatebreaker: Overrides the very laws of fate and destiny, allowing the boss to defy predetermined outcomes and manipulate the course of events. This skill grants them unparalleled control over their own actions and the ability to alter the narrative of the battle.
Space twisted as the chains around him loosened their hold, allowing him to bring up Voidbringer in time to block and activate on of its abilities as well.
Chaos Conduit: As the wielder becomes more attuned to the Voidbringer, they gain the ability to absorb and harness chaotic energy from their surroundings. They can convert this energy into various forms, such as protective barriers, devastating projectiles, or empowering auras. This flexibility allows the wielder to adapt to different combat scenarios and exploit the unpredictable nature of chaos itself.
A barrier of pure chaos energy sprung up around him, taking the majority of the blow even as it blew him backwards. When it cleared, dark crystalline shards raining down on them, Ajax stood to see pure devastation wreaked on the forces of the Archailect. The man named Xandros was down to one knee, scale armor cracked and leaking pure essence, his blade shattered even as another shield burning with the power of the cosmic dragon floated in front of him, glowing as it had taken the worst of the power of Azael.
The harbingers barely rose to their feet, struggling even as their powers seemed to dim, and Ajax moved before the chaotic creatures could pounce on them, landing between their midst and swinging Voidborn, releasing a wave of chaotic lightning that tore the chaos creature apart, depriving them of their forms. They were still on the planet, still around, but broken beyond a form. Azael stared at Ajax.
“What are you doing?” he asked, his voice deadly silent.
“Defying you” Ajax replied and channeled his entire chaos core into the attack, watching as the skeletal form of Azael stared at him with only what he could think of as amusement in his eyes.
“You never learn child, but you have crossed a line” he said.
“The grim?” Zane said as his eyes burned with intent.
“Not anymore” Xandros replied.
“The cosmic dragon knew the truth, and she hid it from you all” Azael said.
“Have no fear though, I will go for her, as soon as we’re done here” he finished.
“Not if we put you down first” Grimswolf snarled and shot forwards.
“a duel then!” Azael replied with excitement.
Throwing the large scythe, he shrinked back to human size, clashing with Grimswolf in a move obscenely fast for the eyes to see. Grimswolf shot back like a missile, tearing through the air before crashing into the ground, his uppermost part buried into the crystalline ground with his feline legs in the air, body rigid and unmoving. They stared at the spot he had landed and the crater he left on the way, and then they turned to Azael, the reaper stretching his skeletal hand out, the weapon shrinking down to normal size before flying into his hands.
He chuckled as he snapped his hands.
“LEAVE US” he commanded.
Ajax watched in shock as the chaotic creatures around created a circle as wide as a stadium.
“How?’ he asked.
“You rejected the gift of the supreme one, he has forsaken you in kind, you can keep his gifts though” Azael said.
Ajax stared at the forces of the Archailect who watched with pure terror and rage in their features.
"I heard you wiped me from the history books, was taking away my name not enough for you?” he said.
“You will not leave this planet” Xandros said.
“Ah, but see, that was the first promise your masters made to me, yet here I am, of course, I was no chaos lord then” Azael said.
“Chaos lord?” Ajax echoed.
Grimswolf was back in their midst in a flash, his wounds healed.
“a new order is coming Ajax, one none of you will be fortunate enough to see, but rejoice in the fact that your wished would come to pass” Azael said.
A new burning white blade appeared in the hands of Xandros.
“By the stars above” he started.
“Oh, this should be good” Azael taunted.
“And the power of the breath of fire, the cosmic rage eternal, unlock code 001, harbinger cosmic” Xandros said.
Azael laughed as the harbingers turned to the man who wielded the power of Eses.
“a new supreme being?” Azael asked.
“We end this now” Xandros said.
“I agree, come at me, all of you” he commanded.
Temporary alliances were forged in that moment, all against Azael, against a being that they knew should he leave this world would mean their deaths. Ajax felt the planet rumble as the chaos column pulsed.
“Oh, and a side note” Azael said, one bony finger raised.
“Wherever did you get the idea that I was leaving the planet?” he asked.
As Ajax froze, realization dawning in his gaze.
“I’m not going to fight your masters, I’m taking the fight to them” he replied.
The forces of the Archailect tore forwards, and Ajax, Chaosborne, clashing with Azael the chaos lord.
