《The Journey to find the New Golden Emperor》CHAPTER 140 **Convergence**

Sahara was in deep in contemplation and never did hear the rest of Matthew’s plans, nor did she know that Matthew was trying to get her attention.
If I keep going down this track, I might change into somebody that I, myself, won’t even like, and that I’d become a person that I never wanted to be…But how do we stop the population from doing things like this without death to start it or end it? I wouldn’t be the only one that starts off as innocent and could potentially go evil…What of others? How could anyone keep up with watching and preventing this from happening and try and change anything!? Looking after one Haven would take forever to keep an eye on and make sure a cycle isn’t renewed or born! It would be…So much work…
The cycle that Sahara had wanted to understand and change all this time, just became the biggest thing on her mind, making her feel like nothing else was around her, that she had gone into some other kind of space…
The table and people that had been around her, just moments beforehand…Were not there now…
“Master, you have finally made it.”
Sahara looked upon the blue bound of spiritual essence in front of her. “What’s going on?”
Isn’t spiritual essence supposed to be pink? Why is it blue now?
“In this world, people are just like that of Earth. Some are greedy, some want power, some don’t have fear. We know you have thought previously upon how to change such a cycle of anger, hatred and such, but now you have finally seen it because you had even become part of one of your own making.”
Sahara found herself thinking and seeing of Talon…She also saw the prince that she had taken revenge on and her daughter. The people that she had ended lives of at the Rolland Estate, the people she had killed who were after Steven…She was seeing all the pain inflicted upon others and pain inflicted upon her by others…She’d forgotten, how much there was of it…But…What she found…Was that the spiritual essence knew everything…
…Because she had killed so many, back in her last life…The reason the police ambulance had been in a crash, it really was because someone had caused it. It had been one of the gangster mother’s getting revenge for her son’s death and on purposely found where Sahara had been, to kill her in return…The cycle had continued, even though she had still lost her daughter…
Gabriella…It had been her who had tried to harm Sahara back a couple of weeks ago, while Matthew and she were in a carriage. Yet even though the cycle of Gabriella’s hatred for her didn’t include much of any kind of thing that Sahara had done in a direct method, Sahara felt like she was the target. This cycle may be different, but it was created, it still existed.
Having not known some things, to suddenly being aware of it, Sahara clenched her hands to finally knowing who had caused the deaths of Talon, Samuel and Zeus…And the missing reason that Sahara had been trying to figure out…
Gabriella had stolen the pills that she had given to those three people…She’d not only killed her own father and brother, she had stolen from them as well!

Anger rushed into her at knowing now what had played out and Sahara closed her eyes tightly, wanting justice to be served straight away!
Back then, she had felt like she had been bad luck, that their deaths had been on her hands…And to a certain point…It was indeed like that. If they had not had pills from her, would they had still died?
It really was something that Sahara felt was out of her control, yet something she wished the most to have changed. The past was something that can’t be changed…And she felt like having run away and feeling the way she had, perhaps it was supposed to be like that. Had she stayed, not having an idea upon who the killer was and going through the grief of losing three precious people…How would her life be now, if she had stayed in Green Haven?
Her thoughts wondered to the blurry months without Matthew and remembered about the men that had been on their way towards Green Haven, in which she had helped them go the rest of the way…Would they had made it without her help?
And Purple Haven…If she hadn’t come to demand them to stop being idiots and to start working together, what would have become of them if she hadn’t left Green Haven upon Talon, Samuel and Zeus’s deaths? Would they have all perished to not having food?
…For an unexplained phenomenal reason, Sahara felt like she had traveled down some kind of destiny or fate that she hadn’t realized until now…That she had no other path back then, that she had to leave Green Haven, to arrive at Purple Haven…To have done exactly what she had done…
I always had troubles understand fate…It looks like…I still have troubles understand it…
The stories and movies that she had read and seen in her previous life, some fit well, while others didn’t. Some character’s fate may be unique, but some were filled with so much sadness that it would bring tears to the eyes. A few had wondered if they should have been born when so many people had tried to stop them from fulfilling their destiny...
It was weird, because Sahara felt like that one small decision of leaving Green Haven seemed to be something connected to some bigger plan that she hadn’t even known of…And still doesn’t know of!
Sighing, Sahara shook her head and knew that pretending to not acknowledge the voices now…Just might be something she couldn’t do anymore…That…Her being ‘normal’, was far from the case.
Who would pick me for something like this!? Stupid!
“You have known that of retribution and sorrow, which helped complete the Doomed and Blessed technique, you now also know of revenge. You now have the power to do both, love and hate people completely. As you love His Highness so deeply, you can hate the person who had taken the lives of Talon, Samuel and Zeus deeply.”
Sahara sighed, she felt like life had just gotten a lot harder. Surely, being reborn didn’t just mean that she was able to just live another life…No…A reason had started to dawn upon her since this voices in her head had started to talk to her…That her life was not just her own. Why did they call her Master, why do they speak to her at all?

I guess it’s time to find out then…
“What do you want?” Sahara asked bluntly. She was grateful to finally know of what happened to Talon, but…She felt like there was a price for it. Should she be happy and not regret? Why does she feel like she may know a lot more, yet, have ‘something bad’ at the same time!
Ha, it really is the Doomed and Blessed! Ha…But…I should know by now that nothing much in life is free…
“Isn’t it also about what you want? To try and find another cycle, or to get rid of it completely?”
Sahara nearly nodded but tried to continue to keep calm and still.
Was this a dream? That would be cool…
The blue spiritual essence in front of her got closer, “We are one with everything, but everyone is not at one with us.”
What’s that supposed to mean!?
“In the very close future, a certain situation will arise. Will you take life or not? Will you see the cycle or not? Will you understand!?”
Sahara did not speak, she had already pinched herself to find that this was real. She also felt like it was real, yet…
No…She did not understand.
“See what we see, young one.”
Then the spiritual essence went straight into her and suddenly her surroundings turned back into that of the table, with that of leftover food and three men looking at her.
Sahara looked up at Matthew, his spiritual essence spoke to her, showing her of his past…How his life got to where he was now, how connected he was with everyone else here in Green Haven…Even a few that weren’t in Green Haven…
“Steven’s your half-brother!? When were you going to tell me that!?” Sahara asked in bewilderment.
Matthew looked at her in sudden shock, “…How did you know that!?”
But, as soon as Sahara finished speaking, she was suddenly seeing Steven with wounds and bound to a pole back in Purple Haven…
A fox lay motionless in front of him…
“Ah!” Sahara held her head in agony and felt as Steven felt, through his spiritual essence.
“You are indeed my son. Take this, you will need it.”
Steven stared at the person in front of him, not looking at the book being held out.
“Your link is now solidified, if you are lucky…No one will come after you. Learn about who we are and survive!”
I felt everything he felt. His mother had already gone, now his father, whom he had never met, had emotionlessly stated this, while Steven was in shock. He had never known about his father…The sadness creeping upon him, made Sahara feel like crying!
The book was forcefully placed into his hands and the ‘father’ looked briefly at him one more time, before disappearing.
Steven bit his lips…
He had been homeless for five years, bullied, alone and now he was abandoned by his father…
“…Father…”
Snippets of him running and saving his life followed afterwards…Having gotten stronger, solely for the reason to survive…
Sahara let out an ear-piercing scream upon a whole other different scene flooding into her head.
“Sahara!” Matthew shrieked, grabbing her before she would fall upon the floor…
An extremely large, condensed amount of spiritual essence was on a very different looking land. Surrounding it were hundreds of thousands of people, Sahara saw that they eagerly looked at this spiritual essence in greed.
Where the fuck is this!?
Sahara was silent but freaking out on the inside at a completely different place!
“Come back to us!”
“You know you can’t survive long without us!”
“We are your masters!”
The words were coming from the people that were surrounding the large amount of spiritual essence.
Suddenly, the spiritual essence went into the ground, disappearing, and the land changed, miles and miles at a time.
A huge difference occurred, to show the people close by had become beasts and the land became that of what she was used to seeing as the more desolate landscape that was now outside of the Havens.
The beasts had the same black aura around them, like that she had seen in the vast land outside the Haven as well…They had horns and sharp claws…It really was like…Humans…Had been turned directly into beasts!
Seeing and feeling a lot of the land, Sahara saw and felt barriers being made out into the distance and people safely inside of it…Rising from the ground…
She didn’t know how it was achieved, but she was everywhere, like she had thousands upon thousands of eyes. She was…The spiritual essence…
If she hadn’t been so shocked with what she was seeing, she would be quite happy into knowing how the barriers came about…But, how the land changed into what she knows of this planet now, gave her goosebumbs!
“We are one with everything, but everyone is not at one with us!”
Those words…She remembers hearing them just a few minutes ago, but it felt like hours and days ago because of watching a planet completely getting transformed...
The condensed spiritual essence completely separated, as the land, beasts, barriers and people were made. The land before her, was the place that she had been living on now for sixteen years…Green Haven’s population was a lot smaller, just a tribe of people…Instead of that of thousands…And it was the same elsewhere at other Havens…Even ruins of buildings having been destroyed, became that of minerals to be mined…It was like…The planet had reverted to it’s very beginnings once again!
Sahara let out a strange sound, to finally seeing the entire outlook of the planet. There were so many Havens!
But…It was also obvious that only a small amount of people were in each set of Haven. Seeing all the beasts now roaming around upon the vast land area, Sahara breathed out in astonishment.
The reason the beasts were able to cultivate like we were…Was because they used to be humans! With all the tiny black dots, Sahara knew that many, many people had turned, and having seen the new people come out of the ground to be made, it gave her a whole new lot of goosebumbs!
Everyone’s lives had completely changed now! They were a beast or made by…The spiritual essence!
The power to have that kind of thing happen…

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
