CHAPTER 203: Unexpected Intrusion
Other than those who were aware of Jay, not a single one in the spectators believed he would survive after taking a direct hit from such a terrifying attack.
They believed Pompa would have bitten the dust, but to their disbelief, he was alive with his back facing the ground at a considerable distance from the Stage.
Pompa recollected what had happened in that split moment and couldn't help but take in a heavy gulp of air.
He was well aware he would have died for certain if it wasn't for Jay giving him a shove, which sent him out of the major impact range of the attack.
Although he didn't escape from the damage from being closer, it wasn't critical since his Health soon recovered to its brim thanks to his 2nd Innate Exclusive Skill, .
Pompa didn't understand why Jay saved him, but he was grateful for saving him.
Although Pompa knew surviving such a deadly attack was next to impossible, he still stared deep into the settling dust and hoped for Jay to survive.
Soon, the dust dispersed away, and within the area where Stage was supposed to be, a wide crater was present, and in its center stood an individual with a bloodied left arm and bare upper body.
The ruptured Full Body Armour was repairing itself at a noticeable pace and covered Jay's ripped muscles with every passing second.
If not for the defence the Centauri Kavach and the Pseudo-Speed force provided, the injuries inflicted would have been much more critical.
Ignoring the injuries that began to regenerate at a visible pace, Jay walked out of the crater while looking far into the west at the initiator of the attack.
From as far as a kilometer in the sky, a 7-meter tall humanoid monster with a blend of red, dark green, brown and pale yellow scales covering its body was hanging by the paws of a Tier-3 Winged Tiger that was flying towards the Colosseum.

An army of monsters soon filled the vision as thousands of aerial monsters carried non-aerial monsters with them and followed behind the humanoid monster.
Using the Winged Tiger's paws as leverage, the humanoid monster swung its massive body and shot itself towards the center of the Colosseum, where Jay was at.
Whilst in mid-air, the humanoid monster drew out its claws and aimed to slash at Jay, but he didn't try to outright defend it like the previous attack.
Back then, the energy attack reached him out of the blue, and the activation of his own abilities snatched away the time he needed to dodge that one.
However, that wasn't the case anymore and with the quadrupled time perception and the Pseudo-Speed Energy in tow, Jay didn't need to defend.
The humanoid monster that shot itself at him didn't seem unavoidable, and all he did was shift a little bit to the side without any excess movement, just enough to evade the pale-orange Energy-coated claws.
With no delay, Jay drew out the 'Stream Wind Sword' on his back and coated it with Sword Aura before stabbing at the back of its head.
However, the protruding spikes over there glowed with a pale-orange glow and remained unfazed by the Sword Aura.
Not only did his attack fail to leave any damage, but it also chipped away a sizable portion of the tip of the Stream Wind Sword.
Seeing that either the Sword Aura was of no effect against the humanoid monster, Jay didn't brandish the sword anymore and placed it back in his Storage Ring, lest he damages it further and suffers a backlash from breaking the bond with the weapon.
Jay didn't engage further and distanced himself from the Humanoid Monster, and the other party didn't pursue him and simply watched as Jay retreated.

Just like the humanoid monster's long and sharp claws, black spikes protruded on the back of its head, shoulders, and forearms. A smaller version of those sharp spikes extended down its spine till the end of its long tail.
With teeth resembling that of a shark and a single horn above both its nose and forehead, it looked like an abomination among monsters. Its sinister appearance alone would give anyone chills down their spine.
{Author Note: For a better view of this monster, I would suggest you guys open the paragraph comment before continuing from where you left it off.}
The ardour in its eyes was not hidden in the least as it continued to stare at Jay before uttering in a loud and rasping voice that pierced through the unrest caused by the sudden intrusion, "We meet again, Silver Alpha Chosen!!"
The moment the humanoid monster laid its eyes on the Stage, it recognised Jay even when he wasn't using Origin Energy.
To the humanoid monster, the primary target to deal with on the Tournament Island was none other than Jay, and as long he was dealt with, it believed taking care of the Tournament Manager, and the rest of the Alpha Chosen with the massive army it brought along would be just a matter of time.
Unlike the humanoid monster, Jay didn't recognise the other party and was still in contemplation.
Jay tried reading its mind but failed to do so every time. He had never encountered a similar situation before since he hadn't encountered anyone with Spirit Attribute higher than him, but that changed with the presence of the humanoid monster.
However, MJ didn't share the same confusion as Jay in regards to identifying the abomination of a monster and began to transmit everything known in the System records of a Plasma Predator.

A Man and His Greatsword
Michael Adkins is a unique 28-year-old man. Born with above average strength and emerald green eyes, he always wanted to live in a fantasy world. He was very much into fantasy light novels, manga, and anime, especially a certain one that involves a black armored man with a large greatsword. Michael always dreamed of going on an adventure in a fantasy world. On a whim, Michael is summoned by the god of Alorah, one of the fantasy worlds he had always read about! Alorah's God, Eden, gives Michael a choice of three bonuses and a custom class to take with him into Alorah. This is the start of Michael's fantasy adventures. P.S. This is my first novel, I'm writing this since there were little novels I've found with a main character that wields a greatsword. Don't expect anything good. There will be a lot of mistakes, so please help me with that! P.P.S The later chapters will (hopefully) be much less cringy than the early ones. Please give it a shot!

His mind then drifted imagining which one he would use the energy for. Should he use it on his eyes, so it shot a beam of laser, like a certain bespectacled mutant? Should he use it on his bones, so it regenerated infinitely, like a certain character from an anime? Should he use it on his brain, so he became a genius, like a scientist with a bald head? Or should he use it on his vital organ, so that he became the manliest person in the world? While he was imagining things, suddenly his ears felt pinched. "Ouch!" "Didn't mom already say you can't play with fire, you brat?!" There he realized, knowing that no matter what he chose, he was still a child in front of his mother.
