《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 132.5

The bellows of multiple loud bangs and metal cracking filled the room as Zalroth strolled into the maid cafe; he immediately raised a hand and caught a flying purple can of Magi-Light (a brand of soda). Zalroth looked at the soda can before defeatedly sighing and looking up at Lumina as she had one of Solus' Spirit Partners in headlocks using her arms, another in a headlock using her legs and the third one was completely encased by the head down in one of Lumina's blonde, with lime ends, kitsunes tails. (Lumina is a slightly short teenaged slightly tanned humanoid half Alkorian[curly white ram-like horns] and half kitsune[blond kitsune ears with lime ends, and six kitsune tails(the length of her body) with the same colours as ears]; she has long blonde hair with lime ends tied back using a fuzzy white cloth with a scale texture and covered in golden poker dots, a large lime ahoge, a lime fringe, a lime left eye with blonde iris, and no right eye with a dark red explosion-shaped scar around her right eye socket)(Lumina's wearing a fuzzy black sleeveless hoodie with cat ears and reached down to her knees, fuzzy dawnite fibre knee-low shorts, a yellow and white scarf, and black winter boots)
"At least the issue's been solved already," Zalroth remarked smugly, causing Lumina's ears to twitch. Lumina immediately released Solus' Spirit Partners from her grip, allowing the spirits to book it and fly for the exit. The spirits blasted past Zalroth, and two of them flew out of the room while the third slowly fluttered back to Zalroth. Zalroth smirked and placed the can of Magi-Light on top of the spirit's head.
"I think you dropped this," Zalroth said as he placed his hands back in his tails like they were trouser pockets. The spirit nervously laughed as she took the can of Magi-Light off her head and flew out of the cafe. Lumina bounced to her feet and zipped over to Zalroth as she briefly covered her body in dark golden lightning.

"Kitpa~ it's been so long," Lumina cheerfully exclaimed as she swayed her tails from side to side.
"Heh, that song sure is a banger, is what Chronia would say right now," Zalroth said jokingly. Zalroth raised a hand and plopped it on Lumina's head before ruffling up her hair. Lumina meekly groaned and grumbled as Zalroth continued to mess up her hair.
"... I'm not a baby anymore...," Lumina grumbled as she tried to swat Zalroth's hand away before said swats eventually devolved into doggy-paddle-esque hand waves. Zalroth smirked and chuckled as he retracted his hand.
"Maybe so, but by kitsune standards-".
"Yeah-yeah, by kitsune standards I'm still a kid until I have nine tails," Lumina murmured as she ever so slightly lowered her head. Lumina huffed and crossed her arms as she forced a pouty expression.
"Alright, enough catching up... so what did Kimmi-Ka goad you into doing which requires my permission?" Lumina asked as she raised the eyebrow over her eyeless eye socket.
"You remember that time when you were two?" Zalroth asked, with Lumina nodding her head.
"For how long?".
"In real-time or Reyutetsuno time?" Zalroth asked.
"Both, both would be good, don't you think?" Lumina uttered. Zalroth rested his hand on his chin and lightly pressed his cheeks with his thumb and index finger as he turned the rusted gears in his brain to calculate the rough time conversion.
"Less than a second and three years, respectively," Zalroth uttered. Lumina raised her lowered eyebrow with a mix of confusion and amusement, given the face Zalroth pulled when he was thinking. Lumina slapped her face, making the trapped air in her mouth escape with a goofy pop, before she raised her head to Zalroth.
"Is that all? I was expecting you to say like twenty years at minimum," Lumina remarked. Lumina spun on her heel, kicked up a knocked-over chair and slammed it on the floor with her foot before sitting on the chair while coiling her tails around the back of the chair in a snake-like fashion.

"Just do it around Kimmi-Ka's bedtime so you don't mess with my schedule, alright?" Lumina requested with snarky plastered all over her words as she picked up her cup of practically milk coffee and sipped away. Zalroth gradually raised his hand to his exhausted face and rubbed his eyes; as he silently watched Lumina drink her coffee, the image of a teenaged female kitsune whose appearance mirrored Zalroth's own whined about there being no milk at the local cafe appeared in Zalroth's mind.
"The spitting image of her...," Zalroth uttered as the fingers on his left arm twisted and contorted in unnatural ways.
"Kitpa, your hand's doing the thing again," Lumina said nonchalantly without even turning her head to look as she resumed drinking her coffee. Zalroth flexed his left hand, forcing his fingers to snap back into place without much issue on his part. Zalroth let out a defeatedly pitiful sigh as he turned his head to look at Kimmi-Ka and Jokel.
"You two wanna get something from the cafe since we're here?". The duo quite literally leapt at the offer, flinging themselves onto the nearest bar stool and both managing to sit on it. The pair raised their hands in perfect sync and placed them on the bar counter. Zalroth abruptly covered his mouth and coughed as a small amount of azure blue blood seeped through the gaps between his fingers.
"What was Ela thinking springing up that kind of fight on me out of nowhere?" Zalroth groaned mentally as he clutched his blood-covered fist and burned it away with dark blue flames.

Hermione Granger and The Boy-Who-Lived (OC!SI)
To Hermione Granger, the boy she met on the Hogwarts Express was Harry Potter, a nice, if odd, boy who's very likely going to get her killed, or worse expelled. To Harry Potter, the girl he met on the Hogwarts Express was Hermione Granger, a nice, overly rule-abiding girl who he'd considered to be one of the few (somewhat) reasonable people in an overrated book series he read.A book series that, against his will, has now become his life. I know right? I mean, who still writes Harry Potter fics, everybody knows the world has moved on to Worm and ASoIaF.But you know what? It's NaNoWriMo, so screw it, I'm gonna do this.Enjoy.Or don't. You know, since I can't exactly make you.Or can't I? After all, if the story turns out to be interesting then isn't that me making you like it?Huh. Food for thought. PS: this is a Harry Potter fanfic.

Their achievements in the game will determine the victory rankings of their city-states, but if they die in the game, they will die for real. Patrick Armagh found flaws in the game mechanics of Primacy Online and exploited them to rise to the peak of the game. But when the Church declared he was cheating, he was perma-banned from the game. Now, the Church has declared that Patrick and all the other perma-banned cheaters will be included in a special Church group for World War IX, where they can earn redemption for their sin of cheating. However, Morgan Danan, Speaker of the City of Mann, and the generally acknowledged number one player of Primacy Online, has a deal for Patrick. With her help and his method of cheating, he has the chance to become a virtual god within Primacy Online, but by taking up her offer, he will become an enemy of the Church. Like a significant percentage of Primacy Online players, Patrick suffers from an ultimately fatal, degenerative nervous system disorder. He has less than five years to live. Dragons. Mythical creatures that inspire awe and wonder in cultures all across the world. Wouldn't it be amazing to befriend such majestic beasts and go on an adventure with them? Together with his three dragon companions, Ryder traveled across different lands as he found himself involved in the matters of both tragic and entertainingly eccentric individuals. So, if you like How to Train Your Dragon or just dragons in general, isekai adventure stories, and/or a found family-esque story with witty banters and interesting characters, then this is what you're looking for! Note: This is an anthology series, therefore the arcs are not presented in a linear fashion. There will be recurring characters and arcs that continues story threads from previous "chapters", but, for the most part, each arc standalone as a complete story, so you can pick and choose what you want to read. If you watched Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon series before, it's basically like that.I'm still relatively new in writing, so I would appreciate it if you'll be kind enough to provide feedback!

Remorse
I have killed many people over my long life. Men, women, children. None have escaped the shadows that I control. It was only one tiny mistake that I made that changed my life forever. I underestimated her, and I would pay for my hubris. “For every death you have given, you will feel their pain.” What? “For every person you have killed, you will feel regret.” Wait, wait… “For every murder you have commited, you will know what you have done.” I don’t think this is going to be pretty. The power leaves her voice as she continues in a softer tone. “I will give you back what you have lost, you will feel empathy again.” Her power releases me and I fall to the ground. Diana. That was her name. I will remember it. ******** This story starts out somewhat dark, but it will lighten up after the first chapter. I tend to not enjoy the psychological tag too much since stories with the tag tend to be a little insane for my liking, but I feel that I would be remiss not putting it on this story, since a lot of it is about the psychology of the main character. All the content warnings are checked since I want to leave my options open to me for the future. I hope you enjoy.
