《The Type Specialist》Ending Announcement + Poll

The Type Specialist will be ending soon.
Kind of.
Eventually.
You don’t need to worry—Alola is still set to be finished. We’re not even halfway through the region, giving us at least a few months to go. However, while I’ve always intended to have four full regions: Hoenn, Sinnoh, Alola, and one other, I’ve decided to have the main story conclude when Alola concludes.
Now, while The Type Specialist will soon come to a close, I won’t be done writing Pokémon. I’ve struggled for a long time to get another story going thanks to having too many ideas for stories bouncing around in my head. To settle on one, I’d like to ask you all for help!
Underneath this wall of text, there’s a poll for you to vote on your favorite Type. From Water to Grass to Normal to Ghost, any possibility is open, even the pair of non-specialist options: the esoteric “Fossil” and the dreaded “Generalist.”
I’m asking for your help now because I want time to be able to build up a backlog. I want to release the next fiction with a small, initial dump and continue with daily chapters after that. However, even though I’ve spent months trying to figure this out, I genuinely can’t settle on only one idea, which is why I’m including this poll now. Please think about what kind of story you’d like to read, keeping the following details in mind:
The story will likely have a slightly more competitive lean The setting will likely be a mix of Kanto and Johto The period will likely be set early in the timeline, before knowledge of cross-region evolutions are spread too far The main character will likely have meta-knowledge in one form or another
I’ve enjoyed writing The Type Specialist, and I still have trouble believing just how many people have joined Alex on this expansive journey. I want to thank you all for your continued support, and I have to say, I’m really looking forward to starting a new fiction with you all!

Signing out,
Incarnated Whisp.
P.S. I may or may not include a set of epilogue chapters down the line after the Type Specialist ends to make up for the loss of that fourth region. I’m still considering this idea, and it depends on how I feel after the next fiction comes out.

The Humble Life of a Skill Trainer
For Joshua Still, Skills were the lifeblood of his business. He wanted to understand them, collect many of them, and teach a few of them. Which was a problem because while his profession of a Skill Trainer was perfectly legal, it was frowned upon by most of the kingdom. After all, it wouldn't do for a non-tailor to teach Tailoring. Or, so says the Tailors Guild. The same could be said by the Blacksmiths, the Bakers, the Butchers, the Candlestick Makers, the Mages, and every other Guild with enough money and clout to complain. But still, Skill Trainers provide a valuable service, and so he has managed to start his business and keep it under the table. To a degree. With many a bribe. But his quiet anonymous life of research, practice, and training was about to change. When the Baron demands you pay him a visit, you have little choice.
8 300Prehistoric Barbarian
The future became a peaceful utopia in the Core Regions. No crime, no wars, no conflicts, even rude behavior is rare. People became complacent and lazy. The main character isn’t a hero or a typical protagonist. Calling him an… opportunist would be the least offensive probably. In this age, he’s sticking out like a sore thumb. Who would notice a few shady happenings when crime is a foreign concept and there is nobody to catch you? *Book 1 - Done.*
8 198Exhuman
If superpowers appeared today, what might the future look like? In a future which has endured nuclear wars, people rarely wake up one day with supernatural powers, transforming an innocent life into a walking apocalypse. Shunned and feared, these Exhumans are often violent, ever misunderstood, and always dangerous. In this world unfolds the dark story of Athan Ashton, an 18-year old with a football scholarship who wakes up to find himself a lightning-powered Exhuman. Following a failed imprisonment and execution, he is exiled to the wilds, ostracized from all he’s even known. Like most, Athan never questioned society's view of Exhumans, buying the public line that they are selfish and a danger, fit only to be reported and dispatched. But living on the other side, Athan begins to discover why Exhumans go bad, and begins the impossible task of becoming more than just his powers. Athan is dedicated to use his Exhumanity only for good, but is that enough to survive in a world where his very existence is a crime? Release schedule: Exhuman updates five times weekly: Exhuman is finished! After 500 chapters, it's come to an end. Thank you for your support through the years that this story ran! More Exhuman: There are over 100 chapters currently posted at my Wordpress site! If you're looking for more, there's plenty of it! Please consider donating at my Patreon if you like Exhuman. I write full-time and can only do so through your generous support. Thank you!
