Mermaid Arc. Chapter 2: The Kraken.

Valoran witnesses the Mermaids who are equipped with mythril spears and armor desperately fighting the Kraken.

“KEEP IT BUSY UNTIL THE QUEEN ARRIVES!” One of the Mermaids shouts out.

“YES MA'AM!” The other Mermaids reply.

Despite the efforts of the Mermaids they are no match for the Kraken; its sheer size and durability are too much for the Mermaids soldiers to handle.

The Kraken knocks down several Mermaids on the ground with its enormous tentacles.

“AHHH!!” The Mermaids scream in pain as they impact the floor hard.

“WATCH OUT!!!” Other Mermaids who haven’t been knocked down.

The Mermaids who are on the ground barely conscious, in immense pain and with blood spilling from the mouths are unable to swim away from the Kraken’s enormous tentacle as it’s preparing to crush the Mermaids.

“W-we can’t move…” One of the Mermaids barely able to speak says.

The other Mermaids swim toward the Kraken to try to get its attention away from the injured Mermaids.

“WE NEED TO DISTRACT IT!” Mermaids shout in fear for the safety of the injured Mermaids.

The Kraken ignores the distraction from the Mermaids.

The Kraken brings down its enormous tentacle on the injured Mermaids.

“NOOOOO!” The Mermaids yell out with fear.

The injured Mermaids close their eyes and face away and are prepared to die.

Enormous black flames consume the Kraken and push it back quite a distance.

“W-What just happened?” Mermaids ask in confusion.

The black flames only cause damage to the Kraken while leaving the injured Mermaids unharmed.

The Mermaids who are not injured are confused as to what just happened.

“W-What happened?”

“Where did those black flames come from?”

“What is going on?”

“Are the others okay?”

“Look over there?” A Mermaid warrior points on the floor.

The other Mermaids look toward the direction where the Mermaids points at.

“Wait a minute…”

“Is that a person?”

“Is he walking?” The Mermaids are further confused.

Valoran, who walks instead of swimming, makes his way to the Mermaids who have been injured by the Kraken.

“It will be alright.” Valoran reaches his hand down to the Mermaids.

Valoran casts Vita (healing magic). A large green magic circle appears beneath the Mermaids, at an instant the Mermaids wake up and all the injuries have been healed.

The Mermaids regain consciousness.

The first person they see is Valoran with his arm stretched.

“Who are you?” One of the Mermaids with long blue hair and eyes questions with a silent voice.

“I will explain everything in due time but for now you and the others should retreat. Leave the Kraken to me.” Valoran replies.

The Mermaids rise from the floor and begin to slowly swim.

Valoran now notices the sheer difference in size between him and the Mermaids.

Valoran is 6ft tall (183cm) however compared to the 7ft (213cm) upper body and the additional 5.5ft (167cm) fluke dwarfs Valoran.

“SISTERS!” The other Mermaids swim toward the Valoran and the previously injured Mermaids.

“We are fine somehow.” Another Mermaids answers this time it’s a Mermaid with long pink hair and purple eyes.,

“You should retreat now. The Kraken is not in the best of moods after my attack.” Valoran suggests.

The Mermaids who haven’t been saved look at Valoran with a look of disgust and frustration.

“Tch, who are you to order us around!?” One of the Mermaids with a long blond ponytail and green eyes questions.

“We should do what he says Sister.” The Mermaid with the long blue hair suggests.

“She’s right! If he can handle it then we should take him up on the offer and retreat.” Another Mermaid who was saved by Valoran she has Medium sized purple hair with purple eyes.

The Mermaid with the long blonde ponytail agrees. “Everyone retreat.”

The Mermaids swim away to a safe distance to observe Valoran dealing with the Kraken.

The Kraken has now recovered from Valoran’s first attack.

“RAWWWW!” The Kraken scream with such power creating powerful shockwaves.

Valoran opens up an enormous portal and aims toward the Kraken, swallowing the Kraken.

Outside the city another enormous portal appears outside the city above dropping the Kraken.

Valoran casts irum (teleportation magic) and at an instant he is in front of the Kraken.

“Now that we are out here, away from the people and buildings I won’t have to be so cautious.” Valoran says with a condescending grin.

“RAWWWW!” The Kraken yells in response.

The Enormous Kraken swims toward Valoran with such speed he reaches mach10 instantly.

Due to that speed enormous amounts of water is being pushed quickly creating powerful shockwaves.

Valoran reaches out his finger. “That will do.”

The Kraken impacts Valoran’s finger at the speed of Mach15.

This causes powerful waves which would have destroyed everything in it’s radius.

Valoran’s finger stopped the Kraken, Valoran in fact does not move a single inch backward anf remains calm and exerts no effort.

“Is that all you got?...What a shame I thought you had more to offer since you are a creation from the Gods.” Valoran mocks.

The Mermaids watch the battle and are amazed to see what Valoran just did.

“Sisters…did he just?”

“I-I can’t believe it either”

“Just who is this man?”

“Whoever he is…he could be a powerful enemy.”

More Mermaids arrive in company with a special and important individual.

The Mermaid with the long blonde ponytail turns around to face that special individual.

“My lady, Limeneria” She places one of her hands on her right side of the chest and bows her head.

The other Mermaids do the same. “My lady, Limeneria”

“What’s the current situation Ignis?” Limeneria questions.

“My lady. We have fought off the Kraken for some time in hopes to stall time until you arrived however, the Kraken was too powerful and we would have all perished. Then this person showed up and engaged the Kraken and saved the lives of many sisters.” Ignis replies (the one with the long blonde ponytail)

“Lady Limenesia, do you know who this person might be?” The Mermaid with long pink hair and purple eyes questions in curiosity since she wants to know her saviour's name.

“That’s Valoran Silver if I am not mistaken. The current King of Magic himself.” Limenesia responds.

“He was the one who defeated the God King Daimos?” Ignis replies with the other Mermaids gasping in shock.

“The current King of Magic possesses immense power surpassing the previous Magic Kings before him.” Limenesia explains.

“Even more powerful than you?” One of the Mermaids asks curiously.

“Perhaps. In magic i’m no match for him but he’s still a child.” Limenesia replies.

Back at the scene with Valoran facing off against the Kraken.

The Kraken charges full steam ahead toward Valoran, swimming even faster than the previous attack.

“It seems that you are limited to only charging toward your enemy. How predictable.” Valoran flicks his finger at the Kraken the moment it approaches him.

The Kraken is pushed back far back with incredible speed only caused by Valoran flicking his finger at the Kraken.

“It’s time to end this.” Valoran extends his arm and casts detroze (destruction magic). A powerful beam hits the Kraken causing the Kraken to be annihilated.

“Now then let’s move onto the next problem.” Valoran says with a smirk as he looks around to see Mermaids swimming around him circling him with mythril spears pointing at him.

“DON’T MOVE!” Ignis harshly instructs.

Valoran raises both arms in the air to surrender.

Mermaids make way for Limenesia to approach Valoran.

Limenesia the queen of the Mermaids the most powerful and beautiful of them all, she has green and purple hair with green eyes and with a mythril trident as her weapon.

“Why are you here, King of Magic?” Limenesia questions.

“Greetings queen of the Mermaids Limenesia. I am here to ask for us to create an alliance.” Valoran replies.

“Get lost. We have no business with land dwellers.” Limenesia replies with a rude tone.

“I believe you owe me a favour for saving your mermaids and the city.” Valoran counters.

“Tch.” Limenesia expresses frustration.

“According to your customs, whenever someone greatly assists you, you owe them a favour. I believe that I have given you plenty of assistance.” Valoran smirks.

“Very well then King of Magic. I will listen to your proposal.” Limenesia agrees.

“Great. Let’s talk business.” Valoran replies.
