Basic Concepts
Sigma Particles
Sigma Particles are subatomic particles, responsible for a large amount of the technologies used in the modern world. First synthesized in the early 1900s, but not used for power generation until 1960. Sigma particles have not only been used for Particle beam Weaponry and Power generation, but also for stealth.
When Sigma particles are deployed enough in a given space( referred to as Combat Density), they have a debilitating effect on long-range communications. Stopping Radio, Microwave, Indared, and to an extent, visual light. With cameras being fogged up at extremely high density.
Proto-Humans
Unsurprisingly, proto-humans have a place in all of the world’s military forces. Though some may have less than others. Most commonly, these proto-humans are placed on their own squads, usually separated by tier, and either serve as Special forces, going behind enemy lines, or being on the frontline. If they are not defending locations.
Targeting Computers
AI Exists in very limited capacity, in no small part due to mounting suspicions, especially after the attack by the Autonomous qun’mi weapon in southern shima. As such, targeting computers mostly consist of AI powered by Quantum Computers. That, while advance, have no semblance of being an independent mind.
Weaponry
Infantry -
Gauss Rifles
Gauss rifles are the standard armament utilized by most infantry soldiers. Firing rounds by use of electricity rather than gunpowder. This armament has since overtaken powder weaponry, due to their higher muzzle
velocity, the advent of superconductors able to make them efficient, and ease of production through industrial development. They also have the benefit of being very quiet relative to powder weapons, despite their impact. One such weapon, the Ouichi Electronics “LM-23 Tengu”, Fires rounds at mach 15, which is relatively standard.
Melee Weapons
Over the years, Infantry armor has become more resistant to bullet impacts, though the rounds are ultimately very powerful. Which has led to melee weapons of old being used in close range, as sidearms. While they are most commonly forged of a Carbon-Fiber Zycrium Composite, otherwise, their features are entirely dependent upon the nation, or military, to which the weapon is being used by.

Anti-Armor
The most common anti-armor weapon used by infantry is a shoulder-fired railgun, which, due to its unwieldy size, is commonly relegated to use by specific squads, The barrel having to be held by multiple at once. Regardless, it is effective, able to punch though enemy armor.
Armored Weaponry
Armored Vehicles have a large place in the combat paradigms of all nations, most commonly being the HAUS, Tanks, and Linear Artillery. Haus are widely used for their flexibility, being able to switch weapons on the fly after returning to base, and switch between aerial and ground combat when the situation requires it.
The standard linear gun on a medium tank, which utilizes Railgun technology, fires at about mach 100, firing a shell about 45, which can be used to knock down buildings.
Fleet Weaponry -
Anti-Ship Cannons:
Anti ship-cannons are turreted weapons that commonly line ships, defense points, or, in many cases, massive ones attached to the ground to fire upon ships attacking from the air on earth. Most commonly, these make use of Sigma Particles, or Railgun shells. The Sigma particles themselves essentially being fired using the rails to their advantage.
The standard 460 MM warship class railgun, can fire rounds at 3.2% the speed of light, weighing nearly 1500 Kilograms. With Kinetic energy of 3.7 megatons per shot. Above these are the “Main Guns” Extremely destructive weapons that are usually restricted to Cruiser, Dreadnought, And Superdreadnought class Warships.
Fulde Warheads
The Fuldes - Or (F)usion P(ul)sed fleet (de)vastators, were originally created as a spaceborne anti fleet weapon, in the early 1990s. They are designed to push an explosive wave into a larger area, to, if not destroy, than at least disable ships. The first models produced were 135 Megatons. The development of these weapons is thought to be the catalyst for significantly more armored ships in the modern day.

Long-Range Missiles
Before Sigma particles are scattered on a battlefield, and long range communications go down, long-range missiles, and railgun shots aimed at the enemy are some of the first attacks to be used. The missiles vary in size and firepower, based upon what they are used for. Anti-Air, and Anti-Ship are the most common. But sub-munitions exist as well.
Orbital Shells
Orbital shells are large Railguns with their barrel's aimed at Earth's surface, for use against stationary targets like cities. Firing extremely large metal rods at high speeds, a single shot can reduce a city to a simple crater. The largest example of such weapons was an orbital shell weapon, known as Perun's wrath, Created by the Second Russian Empire, or, more specifically, a rogue Admiral, did away with the shells. Instead, firing asteroids towed from the outer regions of the solar system. Though ultimately destroyed, it was fired multiple times. One of the most devastating strikes landed in the city of Miami, resulting in a crater, mostly being overtaken by seawater.
Logistics
An army does not rely on weaponry alone, Food, and things of that nature, matter even for the forces of the modern world. Made possible due to advancing technology, rations have been built to last a significant amount of time. Some even lasted decades. Even if the ones that can last that long are more a sort of nutrient paste than what anyone would consider food. On the fleet side of things, Logistical and Repair ships are commonly used. When not in combat, HAU’s can be used to haul materials, though this is mostly regulated to models more similar to those on the civilian market, which are commonly used in construction.
Field hospitals most commonly have the same pods used in a civilian hospital. Wherein the patient is placed in a sterile liquid that speeds up the healing process. Seeing prosthetics in a field hospital is also not unheard of, due to the process of installing them being simplified over time.

How to raise a Hive Queen
This story is about a newborn Hive Queen, which gets raised in an unexpected environment. The first part of the story will focus on her development and the challenges that come with it. Eventually she will start to produce her own swarm of hive creatures. The species of the Hive Queen is called the Sylv and they are a insectoid species with an hive mind. The Sylv can evolve themselves through extracting traits from other non Sylv creatures. This is limited to modify the basic set of creatures the Sylv can produce, they are not able to create completely new creatures. In this regard they are more like ants, who have workers, soldiers and queen ants. The Sylv live underground in so called hive complexes and use living structures in them to produce more of their kind. The Hive Queen is the leader of a Sylv Hive and responsible for evolving the swarm. This novel takes place in a fantasy setting and was inspired by other hive species like the Zerg from "Starcraft" made by Blizzard Entertainment, the Arachnea from "Her majesty's swarm" published on j-novel club, and the Vex from "I don't want to be the Hive Queen" by ValetheHowl. I really enjoy stories with an organic hive mind species and want to contribute myself. The focus and theme of this story will change as the Hive Queen matures and defines the goals she wants to achieve.
