Hey all, Karma here. I had a 5 page essay on the history of White Mage, myself, and the origins of my characters going back 5+ years. But I refreshed the page and lost it all, so instead of posting nothing today, I wanted to post a milestone thing.
One whole year, 365 days, and nearly 100 chapters, 250k words, and many tens of thousands of views. None of this would have happened without all of you.
As thanks for sticking with me through all the objective trash that I have written. I will be taking suggestions for the trajectory of the series.
Even if you're just a lurker, or hell, even if you're finding this series for the first time in the new chapters page, comment below what you want to see from White Mage. What characters do you want to see more of, what places do you want to see described, concepts explained, or if you just want something more wholesome and happy then what I've been doing.

In real life, Jason starts as a struggling teacher in debt, while in The Midas Game he begins as a street bum in 1920’s New York City, with a gorilla mayor, Houdini, Rocky Marciano, speakeasies, bombshell redheads in tight skirts, and the Graf Zeppelin drifting overhead. With a watch to indicate his progress, Jason works his way up, fighting to earn wealth, loot, gorgeous women, and hero status in both the game and real life.

If you want to survive you will need to pick a company and stay loyal to that brand. But it goes beyond that, because each corporation has been infiltrated and taken over by forces that are interested in more than just profit. John is a Skinwalker, a free man, a man who is immune to these restrictions. He goes where he wants and does what he wants, moving from one augmented reality to the next, always looking for the next score.

Faced with the prospects of having what's left of his family evicted out of the city walls for not being able to pay rent anymore, he attempts to become a Ranker, only to fail because he refused to forfeit a match. Now, he must fight with the very person said to cause the 4th Fall for any chance at survival.
