There were a lot of things that Ian needed to change with the choreography when related to the first movie of Star Wars.
Among them, few common were: lightsaber duels, space battles, hand-to-hand combat, alien fights and battle scenes.
And in the last meeting with the choreographer, before the production began, they discussed what the aspects would be.
Ian started by talking about the Lightsaber Duels.
The lightsaber duels in the original Star Wars movie were relatively simple and focused more on storytelling than complex choreography. However, if the choreography were to be changed, it could have incorporated more intricate and dynamic moves.
This could include acrobatics, swordplay techniques, and a wider range of offensive and defensive manoeuvres to make the duels more visually exciting.
He also wanted to talk about The space battles, which in Star Wars involved a combination of visual effects and model work.
To enhance the choreography of these sequences, there could have been more intricate manoeuvres and formations for the starships. This could involve coordinated flight patterns, strategic positioning, and more dynamic camera movements to create a sense of intensity and suspense.
And while there were limited hand-to-hand combat scenes in the first movie, they could have been more elaborate and detailed.
The choreography could have incorporated various martial arts techniques, stunts, and fight choreography to make the combat sequences more engaging and visually impressive.
Star Wars was known for its diverse range of alien species, and the choreography could have been tailored to highlight the unique abilities and characteristics of each alien race.
This would involve developing distinctive fighting styles and movements for different species, showcasing their physical attributes and cultural influences.
And last but not least, the large-scale battle scenes, such as the Rebel assault on the Death Star, could have benefited from more intricate choreography.

This could involve coordinated movements, strategic formations, and a greater sense of teamwork among the characters. The choreography could have also included more visually striking moments, such as coordinated explosions, aerial manoeuvres, and ground-level combat.
By adjusting the choreography in these ways, the action sequences in the first Star Wars movie could have been even more visually captivating and dynamic.
These changes would have added an extra layer of excitement and spectacle to the already iconic moments of the film, enhancing the overall cinematic experience for the audience.
“... Are you sure about it?” Ian asked Sterling, who sat in front of him, touching his moustache time and time.
Sterling was a professional who had worked on more than a hundred movies, planning and choreographing as many fight scenes as possible. Of the hundred movies, there were more than fifty A-Listed movies that existed.
“Yeah, my team has done over a hundred films, both big-budget movies and small-budget movies, so I believe that will be the best option to go with.”
Sterling said while highlighting the fact that he had done previous movies, and had more experience.
Ian nodded.
The man in front of him was one of those people who enjoyed bragging and it showed. Ian looked at him and said nothing knowing that it could only inflate or harm his ego.
“How about the differences in the fights? Do you think you can handle it?” Smith asked and got comfortable in his chair.
Although this was supposed to be the last meeting, their conversations had been going on and on about Ian’s adjustments to the fights of different scenes.
Since Ian already knew how he wanted specific scenes, he wasted no time sharing them. Because, the sooner he shared, the longer the man had to grasp everything.

At one point, Sterling even went ahead and asked, “Ian, how do you know what not to do when you haven’t done anything?”
And Ian’s answer was simple. “I just do.”
And when Smith questioned, Sterling touched his moustache and dragged his hand along the beard. He looked at Ian with a serious face. He puckered his lips and then it formed into a thin line.
“I will try my best. And the rest is in the hands of the actors, so, I’ll try my best to make the fights accurate. I’m sure they’ll do a great job, you know… With all the training they have been getting.”
“Alright then, that’s all I needed to tell. ”
“Hmm… Don’t worry. As I said, Ian… I’ve worked with stuff that was much harder than this, so I think I got this."
‘The attitude of this man is making me reject him and cancel the contract right here'.
Ian thought but smiled at him politely.
“We’ll see. I supposed you might be right, Sterling. We will know for sure when we start directing, next week. We’ll discuss it later then, but I’m glad you’re doing a great job with the actors,” Ian said, mentioning how hard he had been trying to make the actors train.
“It’s all part of my job. And your budget is pretty high, so I thought the sooner we start, the better. And some extra tough work won’t be much of a problem,” he said and shrugged.

[At Raelynn’s Office]
Raelynn saw Sterling leave Ian’s office from where she was seated.
“I heard rumours about him,” Raelynn said while looking at Niko, who was on his phone.
“Yeah, same. But Ian knows better. The guy is someone who’d easily lose jobs if he opened his mouth to the producers.”
Raelynn shook her head.
“They’ve signed him in for quite some days now, I guess more than a month.”
“Well, he also has incredible records in the industry…” Niko kept his phone away and looked at Raelynn, who looked incredibly disturbed by the fact Ian hired Sterling. “He also has four movies that he choreographed fights for in the nomination list for the next Oscars and five Oscar Winning action movies. Like, beat that!”
Raelynn shrugged.
“Maybe you’re right. I can’t wait for the production to start, seriously. Ian himself told me once that he’s been putting this idea behind for too long.”
Niko snickered at her statement.
“You’re just excited to see Carrie,” his response made her laugh.
“Piss off, Niko. She is hot, though,” Raelynn said with her lips curling up.
Niko gave a playful look at her and went back to his work on the phone.
The shooting was about to begin and both of them couldn’t wait.
