《Rubik’s Man: I’m Rich & You’re Dead》Chapter 74 - I Chopped Your Head Off

I spent hours tirelessly comparing and analysing data in my lab. The God’s Anus specimen was very complex to work with. However, I continued my experiments until I generated several batches of anti-viral compounds.
I had to be careful when testing these compounds. Unlike the first batch of anti-viral ashes that I created, I lessened the mixture of God’s Anus to curb the implosion side-effect that occurred in the Smokepire I first tested it on.
During my later studies, I alternated between vaporous and intravenous implementation of the drug. Testing various dosages gave me remarkable results, although these results were promising, they were temporary.
Batch GA-27 was very effective in turning the Smokepires into regular human form, however, they would return to their former monstrous state after a short period. To remedy this, I slightly tweak the amount of botanical properties in the mixture to make God’s Anus more proactive.
Thus far, the original patient who absorbed the raw ingredient was still in her human form. I noticed that some parts of her body were becoming swollen. This meant that the Smokepire side of her DNA was slowly resisting God’s Anus potent quality.
Looking further into this development, I found out that it had much to do with the dynamic oscillation of the Resurrection Rubik’s Cube. This was the key component that was deterring my anti-viral compound from working.
Realizing this made me try something else. Instead of injecting the curative into the creature’s veins, I tried applying it directly to the Resurrection Rubik’s Cube. This sounded easier than it was to accomplish.
To get the Resurrection Rubik’s Cube in a state where I would be able to add the curative, I had to rotate its many blocks into a particular pattern that made its borders expand by a few centimetres.
The core of the Resurrection Rubik’s Cube was comprised of a unique orb of smoke, the scope of which I wasn’t fully aware. I asked the System for answers but all I got in return was non-explicit information. This left me to do hands-on analysis, using the scientific knowledge I possessed.
Somewhere, somehow during my research to implement the new batch of God’s Anus compound, I undertake a different task which involved understanding and controlling the various shifts in the Resurrection Rubik’s Cube. This in itself, ate up a couple of days of my precious time. Mainly because I had to manually manipulate the blocks to figure out the multiple permutation sequences.

Albeit this was a taxing experiment. I learnt a lot about the Smokepires' biology just by messing around with their Resurrection Rubik’s Cube. Almost everything about them could be understood by taking apart this key component.
What I leant that would be most useful to me in the future was the disable technique or pattern for the Resurrection Rubik’s Cube. Some Smokepires had more blocks which meant more permutation protocols to their Resurrection Rubik’s Cube. However, with my level of understanding, I would be able to easily alternate between the tiny nuances to get the desired result.
To make things easier on myself, I linked the existing permutations that I’ve learnt to the original Rubik’s Cube in my chest. With this installation, I would be able to remotely deactivate the mobility of any Smokepire that had similar permutation protocols without all of the hassles.
Additionally, I could hijack their cerebral functionality and make them carry out simple tasks such as basic body movement and manoeuvrability. This discovery was wonderful, but what eluded me still was this. Would I be able to maintain a similar level of control if the Smokepire return to human form?
First I had to create a precise anti-viral compound that could last longer than a few seconds then I would be able to check this theory of mine.
Rewinding to my earlier mention about the core of the Smokepire’s Resurrection Rubik’s Cube, I did inject it with the GA-27 compound to see the reaction it would have. As expected, the results were far more promising than when it was applied either vaporously or intravenously via the bloodstream.
The Resurrection Rubik’s Cube was the main operating system of these creatures, so by influencing it directly, I was able to create a God’s Anus variation that made the reversion to human form last longer.
Rodent was my primary target for this particular concoction. Although his legs and arms were cut off, the transformation still occurred seamlessly. I stood by his body like a hawk, monitoring for hours to see if the compound would wear off and to see if he would transform back into being a grotesque Smokepire.
“So far so good.” 4 hours ran by in a flash and Rodent’s condition was still very stable. I spent so much time in the lab that I completely forgot to feed my stomach with traditional nutrition. Because of my mutated biology, I was able to keep working nonstop. As long as my Blood Bank was stable then my health was good.

Continuing with my experiment, I loosened the braces around Rodent’s body then gave him an agitating agent to see if he would wake up.
“Ah!” The agent worked. Rodent woke up screaming like a madman. I had to slap his face a couple of times to shut him up. When he realized his surroundings, he stared at me in shock.
“Huh, Smoke Pac…?”
“I see that your linguistic capacity still works.” This was good news. It meant that proper communication could take place. Shining a flare in his eyes to see the reaction of his pupils, I questioned, “What’s the last thing that you remember?”
“I ah…?” He was just about to reveal to me what he remembered when his mouth suddenly froze. Following this reaction, his severed limbs along with the rest of his body started regenerating back into their monstrous state.
“So the reversion wasn’t permanent.” My ongoing research hit a snag, but out of all the previous God’s Anus variations that I’ve tested, GA-27 gave me the most promising results. All I needed to do was to tweak this formula a little to get a more stable compound.
The new batch was troublesome for me to make but I did it regardless. GA-28 was finished and ready for testing. To test the potency of this drug, I injected it into the woman who had a higher tolerance to the God’s Anus compound.
Previously, her reversion into a Smokepire was occurring at a snail's pace. The effects of GA-28 seemed to have halted this process permanently.
“Now, will it work the same for the others?” Switching back to Rodent, I also injected him with the GA-28 compound. His transformation into human form occurred faster than the last time. This could be the result of the potency of the compound or other biological variables. Either way, I was pleased with what I was seeing so far.
Giving Rodent another dose of the agitating agent, he quickly regained consciousness and recognized me.
“Smoke Pac!” Judging by the tone of his voice coupled with the horrifying expression on his face, I could tell that he was scared of me. “What the fuck man! Where the hell am I? What are you doing to me?”
Before I answered his question, I asked him one of my own. “What is the last thing that you remember?”
“Why the fuck do you want to know that?” A load of saliva escaped Rodent’s mouth as he speak.
Withdrawing my head to a safe distance, I told him, “Just answer my question.”
“No!” This bastard was acting like a tough guy. He forced me to reach for my meat cleaver.
Noticing what I was holding in my hand, Rodent began pleading for mercy. “Hey, what are you about to do with that? Don’t do it, man! Stay the hell away from me! I said stay back!”
“We’ll talk afterwards.”
Chop!
Rodent’s head went flying from his shoulders as soon as I lowered the cleaver. For good measure, I stamped his head to mush.
Crush!
What I did wasn’t anything major. As long as the Resurrection Rubik’s Cube was still intact then this bastard would come back to life. I waited close by, watching the process of his regeneration. The Resurrection Rubik’s Cube began releasing more vapours around the missing spot between Rodent’s shoulders. It later coagulated then solidified into an identical head.
When his consciousness returned, Rodent released a huge gasp then uttered, “Huh! I’m alive?” He was veritably shocked by this discovery. Staring at me with wide fish eyes he began asking questions, “What the hell did you do to me, man? Did you turn me into a fucking zombie, like yourself?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I’m a rare breed of human. There is no one else like me.” After telling him this, I added, “Now that you know what I’m capable of, are you willing to cooperate with my interrogation?”
“Hmm…?” I saw his pondering face. He looked more constipated than intellectual.
I interrupted his thinking process to say, “Don’t think too hard. Your head might explode.”
“Sorry, I’ll talk.” Rodent became more submissive to my dominant nature. While pleading like a fly for me to spare his life, he said, “I’ll tell you whatever you want to know.”
“Good, very good.” This bastard was very talkative now that he understood who was in charge. During the interrogation, I learned an interesting fact.
