《The Alteras Games: World Jumper Book 2》Chapter 30

Jefferson sat on a rock where they had come back in time. He looked at his old body and smiled. "Well, I had a good life." No, he hadn't, but he enjoyed the lie. All he had left was Carion. All the others were dead in his time. He pulled off the broken spacial earring. Kayley had given her life to save Sarah. The secret he had kept from the others at the time was she had been pregnant. Sure, it had only been for a month, but he had lost his child. If time could be changed, he was all for making it happen. So he was going to do what he did best. Be the hero he had chosen to be. When Filixerixix showed up, Jefferson planned to hold him off as long as possible. He still had a few hours if Ford was right.
Jefferson looked up into the sky at the clouds. He watched for a while as the lightning struck the Tower. There were sounds of fights in the distance as well. "I wonder if they will make it in time?"
"What are you guys up to?" Jefferson turned to see Filixerixix standing near him.
"Of course, you had to show up early. I would have been glad never to see you again." Jefferson put back on the broken earring.
"Judging from your looks, I haven't found your planet. Usually, don't take me so long. You look to be much older this time around." Filixerixix frowned as he looked around. "Where is Ford? That boy is making a mess of time right now. He left a hole the size of a galaxy for me to find."
"Yeah, he was expecting you in another few hours." Jefferson never did get why Filixerixix talked when he arrived. But the guy always seemed to be laid back.
"This is why your universe needs to be fixed. To many World Jumper's, Time Walker's, Realm Walker's."
"Yeah, you don't need to tell me that. Considering between you and Ford, the majority of them are dead." Jefferson wasn't joking. There weren't any more Time Walker's in his time. As for Realm Walker's like Carion, he was the only one he knew about. Realm Walker's had the ability to see and use World Jumper's holes between worlds and even Time Walker's holes through time, along with some other things they can do. "You know Ford killed you in my time. Along with your entire galaxy." Jefferson saw the surprise on Filixerixix's face. He had no idea that he could show emotion.
"You show no sign of a lie."
"That's because I am not lying. I've even seen why you and your people wanted us all dead. Ford stopped that threat as well. Sure, he never came back after the fight." Jefferson stood up and stretched. He hoped to have made Filixerixix's emotions off for a fight. Even now, he didn't think he could win against one of them. "But enough about what has happened. Let's see if I can take you on."

With no warning, every piece of metal Jefferson could grab came out of the ground and around the town. His cape broke apart, slamming into Filixerixix. An explosion rocked the entire city as it hit him. Jefferson flew into the air as the ground crumbled. It looked as if a wave of metals were heading his way. He flew above it all, dropping red and blue gems into the metal. It was hard for him to control so much at once. However, he could store his magic in gems to control metals easier from further away. The next thing Jefferson felt was his body slamming into the ground. Even with the metals helping protect his body, it had hurt. He looked around to see he was in a crater. It was also filling with water from the Tower. Jefferson knew he had to get Filixerixix away from the Alteras Tower before it was destroyed.
Jefferson closed his eyes briefly, preparing for what he was about to do. "I hate fighting in space." He complained before taking out a mountain full of platinum from his earring. The explosion rocked the entire world, knocking Filixerixix into space. The town around the area collapsed from the blast. The Tower wasn't hit since he had used metals to protect the structure. He created a massive air tank to shrink down and compress air. He then created a full-body suit of armor. His helmet had a glass hole to see out of. The glass was specifically made for space that he kept on him. When he was done, he flew at tremendous speeds into space, with a giant trail of metals following him.
Once out in space, Jefferson had to find Filixerixix, which didn't take long since he had put a tracker on the guy. Putting one of the gems he had put magic in made it easier. Unless Filixerixix dropped it, then it would be a nightmare to fight him. However, judging from the speed it was heading his way, it had not been dropped. A Razor sharp fence formed in the direction Filixerixix was coming from. Along with several thousand blades made of iron. Then a wall of gold that he could lock in place. The next second he felt the gold wall get slammed into. Cracks formed on the locked wall. Jefferson was relieved it had held to even one punch or whatever Filixerixix had done. He quickly made the gold shape around Filixerixix. It would not hold the man long, he knew. But Jefferson was trying to delay him long enough for Ford to help him.
As Jefferson waited for Filixerixix to break out from his impenetrable wall. That wasn't very impenetrable to him. He waved his hands in front of him. He watched as the space around him rippled. It was as if space itself was water. His mind came back to focus when he felt the lock about to brake. Jefferson pulled even more gold from his earring to make four more wall locks. If anyone knew the fortune he was wasting to hold this man. Well, the amount of gold he was biting would buy a country. He did not let anyone know how much of a fortune he hauled around. Ford knew, of course. But hard to hide it from the person who had created all the gold.

Jefferson pulled out a different metal that glowed red in the sunlight. He mixed in with his iron, making another cage around the gold. Then made another gold wall around Filixerixix. There were several layers when he was done. When Filixerixix hit the new metal, he slowed down greatly. So much, in fact, that Jefferson wondered what he was up to. That lasted for about a second when his multilayered prison exploded. A piece of shrapnel hit the air tank on Jefferson's back. He quickly sealed the hole, but the air leaked out fast. Now he could only last ten more minutes.
Filixerixix looked as if he was leaking magic. There were several cuts on him. The energy leaking from his body moved to his hand, and he pointed it at Jefferson. Before he released the torrent of power, his arm flew off. All around them were several types of weapons with gems embedded in them. Filixerixix sent a telepathic message to Jefferson, and he didn't block the message. It was dangerous letting another person into his mind. But Filixerixix had never tried to take him over before. 'Where did you get Zilium? It does not grow near this universe.'
Jefferson smirked, not that Filixerixix could see his face. 'Did you forget? I'm from your future.' He flew back as quickly as he could. At the same time, he made a cage of blades with the zilium. Then in secret, he broke apart his gold into small pieces. That is what he had planned. However, he realized the gold moved too slowly. Filixerixix had destroyed all his gems. The plan had been to leave them in random spots between the weapons so Filixerixix would fly into them. So instead, he used iron. It would not hurt him much. But it was all he had around. He reached out to find any close by metals. That's when he found a ton of aluminum. The moon he was close to was practically made of the stuff. Now he needed to get ahold of some. He never had enough aluminum around. The problem was he wasn't too sure how to use it in the fight. Flying was nice and all.
Jefferson decided he better get back to focusing on the fight. Filixerixix was being very careful not to get hit too much by the zilium. He wished he had this metal the first time they had met. Jefferson noticed that Filixerixix was starting to glow. Which means Filixerixix was charging up to use a powerful spell. He decided it was time to pull out his emergency stash of gold to make a shield. The next second white flames slammed into the shield. The heat from the flames jumped up the temperature in his suit. Jefferson had to consciously move around the metals in the suit to keep from overheating or freezing. Right now, with all the heat, he couldn't get the cool air. He was sweating buckets before the fire stopped. The sounds of sizzling could be heard in his suit, where the sweat hit it between his skin and metal. There was no doubt in his mind he was going to have burns afterward.
When the onslaught was done, he cringed at what was left of his gold wall. The moon behind him had what looked to be a bite out of it. The zilium in the crossfire was perfectly fine except for all the gems he had placed on them. Now he wouldn't be able to move them around as fast. He wished he could reshape the zilium. However, once the metal took its form, it couldn't be changed. Why hadn't he had a giant shield made? It was because he hadn't thought about it at the time. He also had gold for a shield as well. Now he regretted that decision.
Jefferson flew back as fast as he could, but Filixerixix's fist hit him square in the chest. The next second he opened his eyes to find himself in a crater on the moon. A few seconds later, he got his lungs working and coughed up blood. His body was in great shape for his age. But he wished he was younger at the moment. He moved around the metals in his suit to cool it back off. The problem with space was his suit would get hot on one side and freezing on the other. Having to concentrate on keeping himself at a nominal temperature and fighting was not his idea of fun. When he floated back to his feet, he saw Filixerixix watching him. He readied for his last stand. His body was barely able to move at this point. But he would keep going no matter what happened. Then his air run out. The next thing he saw was Ford standing before him, motioning him to remove his helmet, to which he complied.
"I see you haven't stopped trying to be a hero until the end." Jefferson frowned at this man. This did not sound like Ford at all.
"Who are you?" Jefferson asked.
He leaned in to whisper. "I'm the others that have been traveling with Ford this whole time. Now listen to me carefully." He handed Jefferson a small multicolored gem. "This is Jetsford's soul. Stop, do not react. You must go back to the planet and keep him safe. The fool planned to take out Filixerixix but at the cost of his soul."
"Sounds like a stupid plan when we are resetting everything. All we need do is stall him until Almark is done." Jefferson wanted to ask more but was interrupted.
"Not exactly. He intended to erase both of them from time. Now take some air and fly away as fast as you can." The man walked over to Filixerixix. "Hello, my family. How is everyone?"
"What name did you choose?" Filixerixix asked.
"Stax, that will do for now."

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.

Not being able to take the pressure anymore, Rei decides to suicide hoping that his next life would be better and not horrible like his previous one, but even after the suicide he still remains in the same world. Mages traditionally make poor fodder, but with proper training and motivation, possess near limitless potential. For mage teams, the battle camps of the Upper Realms provide both, with missions ranging from orc hunts to political espionage. This tale follows one such team of four who strive to prove themselves in a world that would rather overlook them. Loyalty, honour, and devotion are contrasted by avarice, treachery, and apathy, though at times it can be difficult to separate vice from virtue. For though all people, whether they hail from the peripheries or the kingdom capital, are subjects whose fates are bound to the stars, their choices must be their own. Any comments or questions are welcomed.
8 67The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
