The intercom buzzed.

“Murphy, what is it?”

“Ms Jolie is here, Ian,” Murphy’s statement sent a shiver down his spine.

Ever since the last encounter they had, Ian hadn’t had a chance to talk to Angelina.

But now, she came all her way to meet him.

‘Why could that be?’ he thought for a moment but let her in.

“Let her in.”

A few seconds later, Angelina Jolie walked in another formal wear. She was draped in a short skirt and a bottom-up shirt. Her hair was pulled up into a tight ponytail. She walked in with a polite smile that showed off her dimples.

“Hey, good morning, Mr. Renner, how have you been? Good to see you again, to be honest,” she said and walked in.

Ian stood up and gave her a warm hug.

He adjusted his suit as he realised how good and well she looked.

“Good to see you again as well, you look great… And I’ve been good, busy with the launch…”

“Yes, I heard that you outdone yourself once again, Ian. And I’m here to thank you, formally.”

“For?”

Ian suddenly got confused. Was she about to thank him for fucking her brains out? And if that was the case, he should be thanking her. Or—why should anyone thank anyone? They both were attracted to each other!

“Well, the exposure I got from The Godfather. Ian, the movie is not even released and I still got requests for two other roles. And both of them are directed by very famous directors. I feel blessed.”

She said as a blush crept through her neck. It didn’t go unnoticed by Ian.

He nodded briefly.

“It’s alright. You don’t have to mention it. Honestly, I’m glad that you became a part of the team for The Godfather, but yes. You are a great actress, you deserved the role in every aspect.”

“Thank you… It means a lot. And Ian, I just bought your newest book on my way here, I’ll be sure to read it. I’m excited about that as well!”

“Haha… Sure, let me know what you think of the story. And since you came all the way to just thank me, how about we go out to get a coffee? And then we can talk about what projects you got invited to?” Ian invited her for a coffee.

For all he knew, the number of friends he had in the industry was very few. Apart from the directors he worked with, he needed friends to move on forward in the industry.

As the media portrayed him to be a friendly and kind director, he knew that he needed it to be real.

“Oh, sure. We can invite Niko and Raelynn too, I know they crave coffee at this time of the day,” she said and laughed.

Ian noticed how beautiful she was. In the definition of the word, she was a goddess. And anyone who has proper eyes saw it.

He was lucky that he met her in this world. The potential she had to change the world for a better place was massive.

And Angelina wasn’t the only person who he knew had that much potential—but also Christopher. The politician who ran to the position of Senate.

‘I really need to keep up with my friends’ Ian thought to himself and stood up, following after Angelina to get a cup of coffee with them.
