《The Journey to find the New Golden Emperor》CHAPTER 121 **Equalize**

Sahara had seen it, Felix becoming stiff and what not.
“I don’t…”
Interrupting the kid Prince, Sahara smiled at him, “Remember that it’s not the end of the world uh! Mistakes are often made, interruptions are often made, life can be hard and harsh…Yet! If you can learn from your mistakes and either prevent interruptions or accept them, life can be a little easier and less harsh…You know what!?”
Felix waited, but couldn’t help but say, “…What?”
Sahara let go of his hand and sat back, into Matthew’s embrace, “Equalize!”
Both Matthew and Felix were confused and had questions in their eyes…
Letting out a strange noise, Sahara slapped the table, “Find something else as well, to help you deal with it! You know! Like…Well, I have him!” She bluntly pointed at Matthew, like he was a second guess…
“My…”
Sahara interrupted Matthew, “Make life worth your troubles! It may be hard to…Well, whatever you think is hard, but find something fun as well! Equalize…”
Sahara put her hand to her head and stopped talking…Even she was wondering if she was making any sense. She still wasn’t good at talking to people…
Ah! Now I remember why I rarely talked to people!
Putting her hand down, she sighed and shrugged. She didn’t know what else to say or how else to put the words, so she thought she might as well just stop talking…
Felix let out a smirk, but looked down, hoping no one would see it. Again, and again, he sees this Princess act out her true thoughts and it was really refreshing!
Ah, he wished…
Looking at Sahara and at Matthew adoring her happily, Felix had a strange, different feeling…That perhaps getting married might not be so bad after all.
He wasn’t supposed to marry for at least another month, but the emperor wanted him to marry before he was to become the Crowned Prince.
There were still in the selection phrases and the Empress wasn’t well enough to take part in it. Perhaps…Perhaps he could…
Lowering his head back down, Felix kept his thoughts to himself…
“Feed me.”
“You have hands.”
“They’re busy.”
“Then don’t eat.”
“But I’m hungry.”
“…You have hands…”
“You fed me before.” Matthew pouted, snuggling into his Princess’s side.
“Mmm, I was…Distracted…”
Matthew chuckled to Sahara’s answer, “I’ll distract you again then.”
“Uh! No, I’m still eating!”
Matthew leaned against her and when he was about to continue being the ‘Golden heir’s kid’ that Sahara keeps calling him, he heard Sahara say, “Oh! I want that Auction House! I wanna sell some pills and get some Sum!”
“I’ll take you.” Matthew said happily.
“Can I come too?”
Both Sahara and Matthew looked at Felix and then each other.
“Please?”
Sahara looked back at Felix and felt like he was more becoming the thirteen-year-old that he should be, instead of the indifferent, mature person she met him as.
“He can come right?” Sahara asked Matthew.
Matthew looked opened to the suggestion, but said, “As long as Emperor Father permits it. But…It was supposed to be our date!”
I pouted, “We were on a week-long date until we came here!”
“Really?” Matthew asked, still not a hundred percent sure what a ‘date’ was.

“It’s quality time alone together, we were alone most of the week! Let me talk to Father, I’ll make it happen!”
Felix gave an innocent smile to Sahara’s enthusiasm to letting him go to the Auction house. He hadn’t felt so lucky and special in…Well, he couldn’t remember…
“But where is the Emperor?” Sahara asked.
Matthew laughed and put something into her mouth, “He said something about the earth element, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s in his library.”
Sahara finished eating what Matthew put in her mouth and then tried to stand up, Matthew’s hands making it difficult for her…
Relenting to his Princess, Matthew stood up with her and looked over to Felix, “Let us go find our father!”
***
After they had found His Majesty, the Emperor of Green Haven, reading in a corner of the library…They finally got a distracted approval of Prince Felix able to venture out and go to the Auction House.
Sadly, the Auction House wasn’t open for auctioning on this day, so they couldn’t do much beyond asking questions or dropping off items for the impending next time that it was opened.
Sahara didn’t seem to care about if it was opened or not, even though she knew it was supposed to have been a ‘date’ at one stage. She would like to see it happen but had read about so many of them in books that she didn’t care if she didn’t attend either!
Since Felix wanted to go, she will have to teleport back when the Auction House was doing the auctioning, to make him happy…
But she was still able to give the auction house a pill to sell and a pill to show the effects on the day they were to sell it. She asked the man at the counter when the Auction was opened for bidding next and found out that it was still another week away…
Felix didn’t show it, but he was a bit upset, until Sahara stated that she will take him one day…
One day…
Even though Felix changed his mind and liked this Princess now…He was beginning to change his mind once again…
One day!?
It had been a while since he had wanted to have a temper tantrum…But, suddenly, he wanted to have one…
Sahara saw him upset, once they returned back to the palace, and took him into a big, uncomfortable hug. She wasn’t a mind reader, or an expert in trying to make out what one is thinking…It was more so what he wasn’t saying and what she could pick up through his face, finding his actions familiar to hers and Steven’s. She wasn’t too sure how to make him feel better, but nonetheless, felt like she had to express that she had meant what she said and that’s why she took him in for a hug…
Yeah, both didn’t feel like it was great at all, her big belly got in the way, and it wasn’t something either of them were used too…
Both of them stepped back and had no idea how to move on from it…
Matthew looked from one and to the other in a different light…Both his Princess and Prince Felix seemed to have a problem showing intimacy…A hug should be easy between siblings…Yet…
It was a sad, yet funny and strange concept at the same time!

After they returned to the royal palace, Matthew and Sahara stated their farewells and the emperor pouted a second or two before they disappeared, making both Matthew and Sahara laugh upon their return to Purple Haven!
Sahara felt pretty weak though, considering all the fun things that she had done back at Green Haven and not replenishing her spiritual essence. Matthew noticed straight away and sat down, placing her into his embrace. “My dear, meditate before you faint!”
Looking at her beloved man, Sahara smiled and pecked him on the lips and did as she was told.
And as Sahara meditated, Matthew did as well, but with her right in front of him, even using her slightly to sit up comfortably.
Taking his first pure, white pill, Matthew launched into it and felt the ‘scary’ amount of spiritual essence that came surging towards him!
He couldn’t believe it!
It was astronomical!
Both of them stayed like that for at least an hour and then gladly went to sleep…Of course, they shared the same bed and had a deep, full slumber, that seemed only natural when you had your other half with you…
***
At the beginning of another week travelling by, Sahara teleported a big fish from outside of Purple Haven and they had a big, happy meal! It wasn’t like the fish could not be seen, as it had been quite huge!
Sahara had seen it in the water and didn’t think too much off it…Until it was right in front of her…
It was the size of a football field and should be able to feed many of them, if not all…
Having squirmed for a short time, knocking down a seated area next to the playing field that it was on, commotion went on from there and everyone found out, that this huge fish…Was going to be for dinner!
Many people seemed ravenous in seeing the big fish being cut up for their dinner and couldn’t wait to eat! For that day, people were very well behaved! Well, that wasn’t the only reason…They have seen a few of Sahara’s tricks of making tables and chairs and figurines, but watching the big fish being easily carved, without anyone touching it…
Many were too dumbfounded to make too much thought on it, but a few were a bit uneasy…
Having learnt how to do this when she had been thirteen or fourteen, and had been poisoned, Sahara hadn’t thought much of it, but it wasn’t something people saw every day!
The fishbones were easily taken away, and before two hours were done, big pots were filled with fish pieces cut relatively equal and ready to be cooked!
Sahara had bluntly stated to all of them, that they won’t get fed fish if they misbehaved, and like good, little children, they all scuttled off to do as they were told, so that they will feast well that night!
…Afterwards…The people misbehaved a little…They wanted a great feast every night but couldn’t! Some were getting bullied because of their previous status and that they should have given their fish to the people who previously had higher status. Sadly, this ‘misbehaving’ started to pave way to showing the previous ‘higher status’ people that they are being treated the same as everyone else and started to think that they deserved better.
…Whispers and teams started to secretly form from this day…Who knew that a whale could hold so much power over the species known of as humans…
Matthew, upon letting Sahara take her daily ‘unneeded’ nap the next day, had then threatened them, but they didn’t really pay much attention to Matthew since he had arrived, he seemed more like a spectator, and this was the first time that he had actually done something.
Everyone knew, that the one in charge was Sahara! And…She was a woman…A strange woman that seemed to have kept things uniquely under control…So far…This had started to make them ask the question of why they were really following her…As she wasn’t even from Purple Haven…
But Matthew disapproved of their behaviour and didn’t like the idea of Sahara waking up to find a fifth of the populace wanting to play up, so he stated that whoever can win a fight against him may get what they wanted…
That’s when the people shut up…
Because the first person that said that they’ll fight Matthew only lasted five seconds, and that’s when people found that this Matthew was already a ninth rank cultivator!
Yes! He had ‘dinged’ up with his first white pill to rank nine and now…Everyone knows!
There were quite a few who respected Matthew even more then Sahara now. Not only were they the same rank in cultivation, but he was a man and one that seemed to be able to quickly work things out…
After that, he made them all sit down like little children and pointed at them like they were all naughty. Well, that would be Sahara’s interpretation of it!
On Matthew’s side of things, he rallied them up, with Steven’s help, and told them that Prince Seth was returning and that they should think of how they will welcome back their future Emperor!
Their response was that of being completely shocked!
Matthew was a bit annoyed that Sahara had said nothing of Prince Seth being on his way and that his people didn’t even know about it.
It’s not like Sahara hadn’t wanted to say anything, she had just forgotten…And then she would just ask Matthew why he hadn’t had said anything either…
Now that the people all knew and had gotten over their shock, many questions had come like a swift wind and Matthew had to keep from becoming impatient as he tried to answer them all.
What future Emperor? What Prince is he? I can’t remember him! I thought he had died! How can we believe you? How can we follow someone we haven’t even met? This isn’t a trick to get us under the Green Haven’s control? How do we know he’s really on his way? How can we believe that he has the Green Haven Emperor behind him?
…For quite a while…Matthew had to calmly state that this is not a hoax and that everything was real, that the next Emperor was on his way, and they best accept this future…
Many whispers were put amongst the people, and many of those silent words involved that of being worried that Green Haven was going to have a lot of power here in Purple Haven…

Trial of Champions
It all began with a family trip to an amusement park. How were any of us to expect being transported from Earth to participate in some "Trial of Champions," whatever that was supposed to be? Given only an hour to choose the Classes that would come to define our strengths, we were almost immediately torn away from one another and thrust into a deadly game of survival. It wasn't all bad, though, as terrifying as it could be from time to time. The supernatural and magical powers of the Classes were like something out of an RPG, complete with leveling up by killing monsters and completing so-called "Sub-Trials." And despite the juicy Experience to be gained from killing other Champion Contestants, not all of the participants were bloodthirsty murderers; some could be allied with, or even befriended. Even if it seemed like everyone who had been chosen for this Trial, no matter what universe they came from, was at least a little bit crazy. I would survive this till the end, and I'd make sure that my siblings and parents did as well, no matter how many times we were separated from one another. No matter how long it took. No matter what I had to do. --- A first-person litRPG incorporating classes inspired by D&D and other sources. If you like blue boxes but don't need to have huge lists of numbers to scratch your itch, you should be satisfied on that front. Each chapter is, in my word processing document, seven pages long (approximately 3300-3900 words). The Traumatizing Content warning is there because of discussions of certain topics. Nothing that I think deserves the warning actually happens in the story.

The Collected Short Stories of Necrontyr525
Hey all, Necrontyr525 here! Rather then drown you all in a flood of one- to three-chapter mini-fics, I've decided to put out all of my short stories in an 'omnibus' format, sorted by series and by release date. These stories span my entire progress as a writer-for-fun over the past three plus years, with the corisponding variance in length, subject matter, and quality. Each chapter will get an Author's Note as a sort of forwards. Not nessisarily as a summary, but more to give you all some context for where each short came from, as well as any chapter-spicific trigger warnings. I can't think of any off of the top of my head, but better safe then sour.Comments, reviews, and constuctive criticizm is welcome, but please do recall that these works collectivly represent a great deal of my growth as a writer.Cover by the wonderful gej302! Go and show them some love!
