《Blue Road》Episode 26 (Part 3)

Reginald examined the city from a distance on the rooftop. He looked around, noticing more of the other Usukui Puru walking in a pattern away from certain buildings. Reginald hopped from building to building to inspect and watch where they came out from. He leaned closer without giving away his position, and found a line of them storming out of a shack in the alleys.
Perfect, I found the source of where she’s creating those from. It’s time to head out and put a stop to her plan once and for all. Reginald thought with a smirk.
He examined the ground to find the safest route possible. Reginald nodded to himself, getting ready to leave his hiding position and make a move.
“Hey, over here,” Fawn spoke up. “I’m talking to you.”
Reginald covered his mouth and jumped back. He made sure not to blow his cover, but didn’t appreciate getting a light scare. The ghostly figure appeared before him.
“Seriously? Don’t sneak up on me like that!” He hissed at her. “What do you want?”
“So, you want to put an end to that woman, Emily, right?” Fawn asked with a grin.
“No.” Reginald shook his head. “Not anymore.”
Fawn’s smile faded. “Wait, what? But she made your life miserable!”
“Yeah, but my new goal is to bring her to justice and stop her plan.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.
“Besides, I know why you’re really here. I will not work together with the likes of you. Especially considering what you’ve been doing with Richard before I came into the picture. I plan on doing this without your help.” Reginald turned, and he ran off to his destination.
Fawn looked over at the horizon and glared at him, leaving her view. She wasn’t going to let him beat her to the punch on the mission, no matter what. She flew, hoping to get there before he did.

.-.-.-.
Once he ran to his destination, Reginald hid behind another wall. He peeked from the sides, waiting for a clearing before pressing forward. His hand pressed against the wall as he snuck in through the back door.
A light emanated from the much grander fountain, with racks of liquid containers moving around it, scooping up the contents inside. The room was vast otherwise, despite the spout being in the far back of the room with an upper deck with pillars beside it. Emily stood at the front with her back turned, examining the spectacle.
It caught Reginald in a bind. Initially setting off a surprise sneak attack would be ideal, but so would mean learning more about the secret weapon and using it against her. He tip-toed over to one container, rolled onto the floor, away from the fountain and prototypes. He slowly reached over to examine the fountain better.
“Don’t you dare,” Emily warned him. “They’re in development for my formula.”
“Is that so?” Reginald stepped back and arched an eyebrow. “So, what’s behind you is a spare fountain?”
“Exactly.”
“Well, like I’m going to listen to you, regardless.” Reginald cleared his throat and readied his stance with his spear. “The time has come to put an end to your tyranny!”
“All by your lonesome?” Emily asked in a condescending tone. “Well, I’d love to see you try!”
She pulled out a gray backpack and wore it, snapping her fingers. Robotic arms came out as Emily grinned at him. Reginald’s face hardened, as put his guard up, and readied his spear.

Dungeons Are Bad Business
Vee Vales has been kicked out of his home and directed to make his own way in the world. Along with his friend Alforde Armorsoul, Vee travels to the city of Oar's Crest. Once a prosperous and well-to-do city, Oar's Crest has fallen into depression and disrepair. After finding a strange stone that takes up residence in a tattered top hat and introduces itself as Reginald, Vee and Alforde decide to open a dungeon in Oar's Crest to revitalize the city and, more importantly, make some fleurs. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: Dungeons are Bad Business (DABB) is a slow burn slice-of-life dungeon core litRPG citybuilder that's focused on the day to day experience of running a dungeon. There will be some action, but it won't be the focus of the story and Vee and his friends will usually overcome their problems with their minds and their pocketbooks instead of their weapons. Since I'm participating in the writeathon, I will probably be uploading chapters almost daily for the duration of the event. Thanks for reading!

They Are Our Smols
You’ve read They Are Smol. You’ve enjoyed They Are Smol (if you haven’t, well, prepare to not enjoy this one either). But this is smols like you’ve not seen them before. This is extreme smolness with a lemon twist: smols fucked up big time in this one, and Earth, well… Earth is empty of smols. At least the ayys hope so, because it’s fallout time back there. The ones that got away — and let’s face it, it was all of them that were left — had no place to go. Homeless, smol and needing protectings, they were taken in. For the lucky ayys out there, they’re our smols. This is a not-so-serious slice of life alternate universe where the entire population of Earth, what was left after the dead man’s switch was flipped and the nukes successfully irradiated the planet, were evacuated en masse and then taken in by the galactic civilization at large. I’ll probably write a few more in this silly, comfy alternate timeline to expand on what’s different, but don’t take it too seriously, okay? I do not take credit for the original setting, this story is set in an alternate version of the 'They are Smol' universe, written by the one, the only u/tinyprancinghorse.TPH takes many forms and is known by many names. He is like Nyarlathotep, only smaller and cuter and more prancey. TPH also has a Website and a Patreon.

The Flame in the Forge (A Slice of Life Isekai LitRPG)
Thrown into a world he doesn’t recognise, Niall Vendra has to adapt, learn and fight to survive. Physically, emotionally, personally. If Niall wants to save his family, then the man he was needs to transform. Surrounded by Minotaurs, Fae and Magic, Niall will have to reinvent himself as both a warrior and an artisan. Growth won’t be fast and it won’t be easy, but with patience and hard work, Niall can earn the Skills, Abilities and Classes to battle his way to the top. The Flame In The Forge is a LitRPG Isekai/Portal fantasy. You should expect slice of life with conflict and an overarching mystery to be solved. Niall will be both a crafter (primarily, but not exclusively, as a blacksmith) and a fighter. There won’t be a harem. But don't worry, there will be both flames and forges! I should be clear that while this is very much LitRPG, it's story led and I have tried to make it feel believable. So, for example, the first blue box doesn't appear until chapter 6. I hope that the payoff is worth it. Compared to some LitRPGs you may find the pace rather gentle at times. There will be some periods where it feels like Niall is eking out every level and others when, for good reasons, he makes a significant leap. My goal though is to give you a satisfying story, so that dictates when and how Niall's stats and skills change. I can reassure you that I fully intend for Niall to become immensely powerful, but I want you to feel like he has earned every level in a realistic way.
