《The Journey to find the New Golden Emperor》CHAPTER 116 **The Line in a Dog-eat-Dog world…**

Finally, after hearing the man’s story and even seeing with her own eyes that a person was running back to Green Haven…Things turned a little sour for Sahara.
Not only was she upset that someone tried to make her out as someone trying to kill royalty, but…The person who had run away, had two pure, white cultivation pills with her in her clothes. To find this out was easy, as Sahara would send the spiritual essence from the little, green star and into the body and be able to zoom in enough to see blood vessels…If she wanted too…Well, that’s how she was able to heal.
She really was no real physician! She had no idea on how to read a pulse or what ingredients to use to help a sickness…No, she did things inside of the body, having even used herself as a lab rat to learn what was good and bad…
With the reputation as a Divine Healer, Sahara always found it comical, because she didn’t know how to read a pulse…But she did know that there was one other thing, that even the Green Emperor knew that she could do…
And as far as Sahara knew, she was the only one who makes these pure white pills, which are the best spiritual essence, cheat, magnet pills ever!
These pills were normally made with Dispersion Meditation and depending on how the mix is done, the pill would show a colour from black to white, on how good the pill will be. Sahara completely ignored the Dispersion Meditation when making these pills, as she was able to do better using her Bending Space Meditation. Being able to zoom in and mix the two different essences inside the pill, to an extent of having one essence instead of two, made the mix pretty much perfect, making the pills a pure white colour…And a much better magnet!
Which could only lead Sahara to wonder…Where the hell did those two white pills on this person come from!?
After thinking that the person was a ‘Band’ and she had supplied a few white pills to them, she then asked Matthew, but he had stated that the ones that she had given his estate had been put away…So…
Sahara then checked, with her little, green star, at where Matthew stated he stored them, and found them still there and untouched since being placed there.
And that’s the path that Sahara took to find out that this person may have been the ‘killer’ of three precious people to her, that happened six months ago!
She had gone through turmoil since then, as it was the most pain in two lifetimes!
The best father in both lives, was Talon. The best brother was Samuel and Zeus was a good friend! Having lost them all in one day had driven her to think that it was a nightmare, but it hadn’t been. Then she had lost her way, thinking that she was bad luck, because of her past…
Sahara had thought of revenge but had been still grieving to come up with too much of an idea besides using the last thing that she had asked Talon for…And that was a net. Originally, she had wanted to use the net in an idea to get the Purple Haven Prince’s men back to Green Haven…But…

Instead, the net was put into ‘storage’, kind of like a universal bag in other stories that is instead her own body and ended up escorting the Purple Haven men back to Green Haven personally.
All those times of not talking, not cleansing and even feeling like she had to say goodbye to her man…That killer had basically won the battle because Sahara had left. And after figuring this person may very well be the killer…
Sahara was finally able to put her ‘bad luck’ behind her and realize that she will be able to think further upon what she will want to do to find justice!
Justice, revenge…That big circle of hate was here, in this place. Earth had it too.
One person gets killed or taken, so another person goes to save them and, in the process, does whatever they have to do that, only to be a target afterwards…This had indeed already happened to Sahara in her previous life when her daughter had been taken…
Sahara had tried to find a way to stop this circle, one that can start wars, but has yet to find it.
Not once, but twice now, she had wanted revenge. How can someone try and find a stop to an endless cycle when they keep getting trapped into it themselves!
On one occasion she is poisoned, and her family suffered, so Sahara had killed. Her hands are tainted with blood. She may have gotten rid of a lot of people suppressing her family and hurting them, but had that been justice? Where is the line in a dog-eat-dog world?
Another time that she had gotten her revenge had been when she had been kidnapped and had nearly been raped by the ex Crown Prince.
In retaliation, Sahara had taken away his manly parts, totally gone now, but he was still alive…Had that been justice?
Now, her past held pain over losing her closest relations in two lifetimes. She had taken a long time to let them in so that they would be a part of her world, she had…Accepted their love and loved them in return…Yet they were gone, so quickly…
Will she be able to withhold her pain and anger upon having the person who had done it in front of her?
Nonetheless, it very well could be that person that had killed Talon, Samuel and Zeus. That person had been so close, right next to her!
These thoughts were drifting in and out of Sahara’s thoughts for a couple of days, unable to let it go! But, when she finally thought that the person running back to Green Haven could potentially be the ‘killer’, it was nearly time to teleport to the Green Haven Emperor for a small greeting, having promised she would get Matthew to visit him.
But that wasn’t the only reason…Sahara had let Matthew learn the obvious problem with Purple Haven all by himself…That they needed more food!
Matthew did take a while to come to this conclusion himself, as he was absolutely flabbergasted to the ‘pool’ that his beloved had made.
People…Not dressed…Properly…
Swimming? People knew how to swim now!?
He had been worried and angry to a point in the six months that his beloved Princess had ‘run away’, he could barely remember it!

And here he was, finding out that his Princess had found plenty to do!
The men were even seen walking around without shirts and…Playing strange games!
He often covered Sahara’s eyes, in worry that she’ll look at them…
But no…Sahara, was a transmigrator from Earth and an Australian…Men without shirts was pretty normal and she didn’t find anything wrong with looking…I mean…They were just playing sports…Soccer, Rugby, AFL, tennis…
Actually, she turned to Matthew, and wondered if he would get rid of the ancient attire and start doing the same…
Now that would be worth looking at!
After Matthew came to the conclusion of Purple Haven needing more food, he had asked why Sahara hadn’t told him. Sahara just cheekily smiled back at him then, stating now that it was his problem. Honestly, if he had taken too much time, she would have just stolen livestock from Green Haven…A thief indeed. It wouldn’t be the first time that she would just take something without asking…There are times though, when Sahara would revisit places and try to give back something in value in replace of what she had previously taken…It’s just sometimes she forgot from where and from who and so there are some ‘favours’ that hadn’t been ‘repaid’…
So now, Matthew can ask the emperor about livestock and that was a better plan, in her mind at least!
Matthew could only indulge his Princess…Really, she had done well, the people were all eating and there were even loyal subjects that seemed to linger and wanted to help with some things…Like that of feeding times.
She had kept very busy indeed and he could see that the men were not like his Slayers, his own army of men. No, the men that had survived here seemed rougher and he had even seen with his own eyes, a fight or two.
Perhaps the General will have work here to do after all…
Matthew continued to ponder about his good friend Shaun and how much the General can’t wait to beat up someone….
So, they were going to make a quick trip to the Green Haven Emperor, to ask for more livestock for Purple Haven.
So far, Green Haven had helped Purple Haven’s only heir to the throne, Prince Seth and they haven’t been able to gain much in return, so Matthew was unsure on how much more the Green Haven Emperor is willing to help.
It looked like he will have to hug his leg and call him ‘Emperor Father’ as often as possible, even though they both knew that they weren’t even related…
Matthew knew when he had turned sixteen that he was not really the Green Emperor’s son, no, instead he was a child of a ‘Golden Heir’, just like that of his sister Madeline. He could feel her out there, through their True Golden bond…
But he could not feel any kind of bond between others who are Golden Heirs, like his father and half-brother Steven.
Strangely, to this day, Matthew was sure that Steven still doesn’t know that they are indeed half-brothers…All this time, he had been taken as a brother by Sahara, yet it was really true! Now that they were officially married, Steven was her true brother-in-law!
Sometimes…Sometimes Matthew is jealous of Steven. Steven was with his Princess more than he had been, knowing more about her, seeing more of her…
It was a sad past, but his punishment for Sahara for running away, was for them to never part now! He will be the man in her life, not Steven!
Yet, at the same time, he didn’t want to diss Steven…As he was sure that Steven seemed to lean on Sahara a lot…It really was a conflicting emotion for Matthew…
With a last few words to Naruto, Sahara’s pet beast fox, and Steven, she teleported herself and Matthew all the way to the palace in Green Haven, through her magnificent Bending Space Meditation.
Matthew smiled gently at Sahara, when they arrived, always finding himself so enthralled to her and her power!
“My son!”
The Green Emperor’s voice seemed really delighted and happy.
Glad that the letter he had written to him a week ago hadn’t angered him too much, Matthew took Sahara’s hand and led her into the room.
The emperor walked down personally and chuckled, seeing his daughter in law…And her obvious pregnancy. “You look radiant, my dear!”
Sahara smiled happily back at the Emperor and Matthew felt his pride become the biggest feeling at the current moment. Yes, he was absolutely happy that he was going to be a father!
“Emperor Father!” Matthew said back heartedly.
“My boy! Come, come, Eunuch Chun!” The emperor said, taking Sahara’s hand towards a seat lower to his, so she could sit down.
“Your Majesty?” Eunuch Chun came forward through a crowd of three others. It seemed the emperor had been talking to some Minister’s upon their arrival.
“Tell the Empress Dowager to come to this King!”
After placing down Sahara respectively, Sahara raised her eyebrows at the emperor, “You aren’t angry anymore, father.”
The emperor shook his head, “Of course not! This King is not angry!”
A week ago, when Sahara had sent letters over, the Green Emperor had been angry, and Sahara had thought it was because Matthew and her had been intimate before their marriage…That Sahara hadn’t even attended…
But the emperor had been angry because the Second Prince had placed his future beside her, and so to make him feel better, Sahara then told the emperor that she will bring him back from time to time.
Actually, she had vowed never to come back to Green Haven, after she had left in such a manner six months ago…
She still missed them…Missed them so much. Talon, Samuel and Zeus…
But she had also vowed to stay away from her man, Matthew as well…And well, obviously that hadn’t gone through either…
No, she wasn’t staying, but…She had needed to come here for a short visit!
“Then I’m glad!” Sahara said nodding.

It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.

Bobby likes Pabst Blue Ribbon, NASCAR races, and throwing fireballs. A through and through Georgia boy, raised down in the sticks but now working with all things mystic. He is, in other words, a magician. Not just any magician- but one bound by the most egregious of terms: business contracts. Both of them having common interest, Bobby agreed to sign over his services in exchange for phenomenal (draconic) magic. A pretty awesome deal, right? The contract put him at the top percentage of human magicians, on top of having the backing of a dragon patron, and a fantastic set of benefits befitting an esteemed contractor, so it'd be smooth sailing from then on, right? Not so. That kind of power isn't granted without strings attached, and Bobby's practically bound up in them. Following the esoteric laws set forth by magicians , juggling them with the mortal interests he still has to abide by, and finding himself at the beck and call of a fickle and opaque patron makes his life as a magician a rollercoaster of ups and downs. But when his patron sets him on a strange task- with stranger company, no less, even Bobby has to question what his mission really is. Delving into fantastic crimes and cracking open mysteries is just the least he can do, and he'll do it with the help of his gun, his wand, and his trusted allies both large and small. --- Cover art is of the Georgia Guidestones.
