《Chances of Death: Seven Decks Book I》Book 2 - Chapter 74

As he examined the object in the room, Sam finally said to Bell in disbelief, "The System casino... no, WE now have control of our own teleportation and Deck Jump pad!?"
Bell gave Sam a mental nod, and replied, "And I bet it's linked to casinos on other decks. At least those casinos that have their token upgraded to the maximum like yours."
Sam paused in his inspection of the jump pad, and asked, "What do you mean upgraded token?"
Bell replied, "I'm processing a ridiculous amount of information right now. As you know, with this amount of information, it's going to take a day or two before your conscious mind has enough time to absorb the information for instant understanding and recall purposes."
Sam frowned, "Fine, I get it, but what do you mean upgraded token."
Bell continued, "As we are both aware you didn't read the fine print when you accepted. You accepted the first option which gave the system all of your money in exchange for an upgraded token. You could have selected other options which didn't take all of your money."
Sam nodded, "So, not all tokens give access and use of a jump pad."
Bell sighed, "let's make this quick because I really need to focus on the casino manual and casino settings before we run out of time. You purchased the token with every amenity provided by the system. I don't have time to go through all of the options in relation to the other more basic tokens with you right now, but the most significant option is the access to the jump pad, access to the System Shop from your offices, and remote access to control the casino functions in real-time even when you're not on the premises. Now go explore the casino while I make sure everything is set up properly and none of the odds give any gamblers the ability to bankrupt the casino now that you own it. Ohhh, and don't touch any enchanted items. Your concrete virus may not effect the casino itself, but some of the amenities you've received are personal items that don't have a similar protection."

Sam nodded in frustration at that knowledge, and pulled gloves onto his hands to make sure he didn't destroy any of his goodies. As he continued his way through his private offices and suite, if he focused on an item for a few moments, he could bring up the related information in the casino manual. When Sam focused on the shower in his personal suite, he thought, Thank goodness it's not a personal item, and I can clean myself up. Sam then found some clean clothes in a closet, and luckily there was a bath robe and a pair of boxers that did not contain any enchantments. However, the rest of the clothing items made Sam's inner enchanter drool. The description in the manual stated that the enchantments allowed the clothing to be instantly equipped and unequipped into a storage device of his selection. I've got to break that enchantment code! That would be a game changer if I can put similar functions on other clothing, armor, or weapons! Hopefully Jen and Tamako have found a cure for this concrete virus thing. Now let's see how that bed feels, I'm freaking exhausted.
"Bell, can you handle everything if I take a nap."
Bell replied, "Got it big guy. Probably easier for me if you go to sleep. I'll wake you if there's something I can't handle."

Living a Long Life as a Legend
Reincarnating into a game-like version of a medieval magical world was fine and all. A good blend of two enjoyable tropes. Lock wished he'd been born with a bunch of cheats sometimes, sure, but he could settle with being functionally immortal by abusing the system as well. All rights to the art belong to Stefan Koidl, you can find his works here

Hemophobia
Having a good life Chris never even thought about joining virtual reality. A lot of friends and even more girlfriends. Expensive clothes and cars. A handsome athletic look and highly intelligent mind. In addition a Family that can provide everything to him. Pretty much everything someone wants to have at the age of 20. However Chris starts to have second thoughts about his ''blessings'' and decides to join virtual reality with the purpose of having a very different life there.PS. There will be no violation (rape) scenes in my story. Rape, sadly, is part of our world with many culprits and victims and I don't accept to 'create' another victim OR culprit of such monstrosities, even if they are fictional. The story in general will remain on the bright side most of the time.

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
