《The Legacy of Gilgamesh》Chapter 49 The Sword of Kings

"Hahahaha! This truly is a mighty sword, a gift from the gods themselves. The holy artifact, Excalibur!" King Dracule laughed manically as he held the sword aloft. But his joy was short-lived as he realized that the sword was not living up to its reputation as the key to becoming a chosen king of God.
"Your Majesty," Darius, who had aided him in acquiring the sword, spoke up. "I believe it might be because you have not received the blessing of the Creator. Perhaps you should offer a prayer to the gods."
King Dracule nodded in agreement, feeling that Darius's suggestion made sense. He immediately gave the order to the Pope to prepare for a ceremony. "I will offer a prayer to the Creator and ask Gaia to grant me the power of the late King Auther." King Dracule declared, his eyes shining with determination.
With the ceremony and prayer to the gods, King Dracule hoped to receive the blessing of the Creator and unlock the secrets of Excalibur.
The concept of acquiring the power of the world might seem like a complex and convoluted process to those who are unfamiliar with the method. But in reality, it's a relatively simple task that only requires one to close their eyes and focus their mind for a short while. Though, for those who do not possess the knowledge of how to access this power, it can seem as impossible as reaching the sky.
Darius's suggestion played a crucial role in bringing Dracule closer to unlocking the power of Star Dust, The Three Heavens. Before the rebellion led by Dracule, the Church and the Imperial Family held equal power, but following the successful uprising, the Church is now under the rule of the Royal Family, with Dracule at the helm. This shift in power structure has elevated the royal power above the theocratic power in the Assyrian Empire, solidifying the concept that the emperor holds greater power than the Pope.

As soon as the Emperor issued his command, the Pope of the newly established Church promptly summoned the high-ranking members of the Church, following the ancient regulations.
The ritual of truth, an age-old ceremony practiced by the Holy Empire to pray to Gaia, was underway. As Dracule closed his eyes and focused his mind, his excitement slowly dissipated. He clutched Excalibur tightly in his hand, and as he did, the knowledge of The Three Heavens was transferred into his mind, filling it with new information.
Dracule's body acted unconsciously, following the instructions of the cultivation technique he had learned. The galaxy web created by Rico, which had previously served as a tool for absorbing Star Dust, now came into play. A large amount of the magical substance was drawn into Dracule's body, infusing him with its power.
Star Dust, with its incredible magical properties, had a transformative effect on Dracule. Upon entering his body, it spontaneously began to enhance his cells and alter his physical form, strengthening and rejuvenating him from within.
The transformation that took place within Dracule seemed to occur in the blink of an eye, but from the perspective of those who were observing him, it was a much more lengthy process. As he emerged from his meditation, the night had already fallen and his courtiers, who had been waiting anxiously, were still seated in their places.
Stepping forward, his most loyal ministers and trusted confidants couldn't help but inquire about his well-being. "Your Majesty, how do you feel?" they asked in unison. These ministers, who had been hand-selected by Dracule, were privy to his vow to share the power of the world with them should he be successful in acquiring it.
Dracule remained silent, his eyes closed as he took a moment to sense the changes that had taken place within him. He was the first person after Rico to successfully practice the Three Heavens, and he was also the second person to cultivate using the Galaxy web. It was clear that his body was perfectly suited for absorbing Star Dust, possibly due to his connection to Gaia as one of its children. The enhancement from the Star Dust was incredibly effective, awakening new abilities within him that even Rico had never anticipated.

As the ministers watched on, Dracule's eyes remained closed and he made a violent wave of his hand. At the same time, the soldiers guarding the area felt something was amiss, as the weapons they held in their hands suddenly trembled before being lifted into the air. They flew towards the sky, only to fall back to the ground moments later, clattering against one another in a chorus of metal on metal.
With a fierce roar, Dracule proclaimed, "This is the power of a transcendent being, a God!" He had just awakened a new ability - the control of metal. This ability was unique to him and even Rico, who was known for his mastery of the Three Heavens, had not discovered it. The awe-inspiring display of power left those in attendance stunned and filled with reverence for the emperor's newfound abilities.
Rico was taken aback by Dracule's newfound abilities and was amazed that he was able to awaken such powers. It was clear that the humans of Gaia were indeed different from their earthly counterparts.
As the courtiers witnessed the magical display, they all fell to their knees in respect and proclaimed, "Congratulations, Your Majesty, you have obtain the power the Gods." Dracule, being a talented and narcissistic emperor, let out a wild laugh, basking in the applause of his subordinates.
However, his joy was short-lived as he noticed the longing in the eyes of his courtiers. They yearned for the power of the Three Heavens, hoping to become more than mere mortals. Dracule, who was known for his pride, was reminded of his promise to share the power of Excalibur with his subordinates. Before he had obtained this power, he had indeed pledged to share the power of the Three Heavens with those who served him loyally.
Dracule's mind was consumed by his newfound power, and he found himself unable to shake the thought of retaining it all to himself. He was filled with a sense of superiority and grandeur, a feeling that only he deserved to have this kind of godly power. The thought of sharing it with anyone, let alone his subordinates, was becoming increasingly unbearable to him. He couldn't help but think that if they were to obtain the power of heaven, they would be on equal footing with him, and that was simply unacceptable. He was determined to hold onto the power he had gained, to keep it all to himself. The thought of sharing it with anyone was a notion he had firmly rejected, and his previous promises to his subordinates were now but a distant memory.
