《The Legacy of Gilgamesh》Chapter 21 Bloodbath

Rico was filled with rage and disgust as he surveyed the state of the world around him. The poverty, the suffering, the injustice, it all made his stomach turn. But in the midst of his anger, he knew that there had to be a reason for all of this. He couldn't just blindly lash out without understanding the root cause of this sickening system of living.
So Rico set out to learn more, to dig deeper and discover the truth behind this catastrophe. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he was determined to uncover the facts and see the world for what it truly was.
As Rico delved deeper into his research, he began to see things from a different perspective. He realized that this system of living, as terrible as it was, was simply an alternative path for evolution. The human race, the inhabitants of Gaia, were doing what they had to do to survive. They knew no better way.
Rico understood that there was no right or wrong in the world, as these concepts were created by man. The human race was simply trying to evolve and survive in the best way they knew how. And while Rico still felt a deep sense of disgust and anger towards the system, he couldn't help but feel a sense of empathy towards his fellow humans.
This realization made Rico's anger towards the system dissipate and made him more compassionate and empathetic to the people living under it. He understood the root of the problem and realized that the only way to make a change is by helping the people understand this as well and work towards a better future, together.
When a food crisis occurs, it is common for larger tribes to launch attacks on smaller, weaker neighboring tribes as a means of obtaining resources. This phenomenon, known as "resource competition," has been observed in many cultures throughout history.

From a scientific perspective, this behavior can be explained by evolutionary biology. In times of scarcity, individuals and groups that are able to secure resources for survival are more likely to reproduce and pass on their genes. As a result, those with aggressive and competitive behavior have a greater chance of survival, leading to the evolution of these traits.
In the specific case of the population on the Eden Plain, this pattern of resource competition has led to a stabilization of population growth over the past hundred years. As larger tribes have successfully taken resources from smaller tribes, there has been a balance in the number of individuals within the population.
However, It's important to note that this is just one aspect of the population dynamics of the Eden Plain and other factors such as disease, natural disasters, and migration could also play a role in population stabilization. Additionally, this aggressive behavior towards other tribes could also have negative consequences such as loss of human life, social instability and cultural loss.
"Kill them all," the large, vicious-looking man sneered as he surveyed the terrified faces of the small tribe's people. "This piece of forest belongs to us now, and I want every last bit of it. Remember, boys, clean slashes. We can't waste any meat."
He licked his lips hungrily as he looked at the little boys, tightly bound and trembling in fear. "Don't let any livestock get away," he bellowed to his men.
And with that, the barbarous warriors of the larger tribe launched into a brutal and senseless massacre of the small tribe. Old folk, children, women, no one was spared. The screams of the dying echoed through the forest as they were hacked and slashed to death.
The man watched with a twisted sense of pleasure as the blood flowed freely. He laughed as he watched the warriors of his tribe raise their weapons and cheer in unison. This was the thrill of victory, the taste of power.

As the massacre came to an end and the last of the small tribe lay dying, the man turned to his men. "Good work, boys," he said with a smile. "Now let's start cleaning up this mess and get some fresh meat. We've earned it."
The warriors of this barbaric tribe cheered once again as they set to work looting the bodies, cutting off pieces of flesh and loading them onto the carts, showing no remorse or empathy for the innocent lives they have taken. They were only thinking of their own survival and pleasure.
This scene of brutality and sadistic behavior is a true reflection of how far the human race can fall when pushed to the brink of survival. The inhumanity and lack of empathy for fellow human beings is truly revolting and a reminder of the darkest aspects of human nature.
The weapons of the ancient tribe were a varied assortment of sharp stone tools, chipped and honed to a deadly edge through hours of laborious work. A few among them were crude, bulky iron tools, fashioned from the rare ores that could be found in the surrounding mountains. Though the tribe had yet to develop the technology of smelting, they knew that these ores held the key to creating tools of unparalleled quality and strength.
With their enemies defeated, the victorious tribe proudly dragged the corpses back to their own tribal warehouses. They plundered the defeated tribe's resources, taking everything of value - fruits, tools, clothing, and anything else that could be of use.
But their work was not yet done. In order to ensure that the survivors of the defeated tribe could not use this camp as a hiding place, they set about destroying all the structures, using whatever tools and weapons they had at their disposal. They tore down the shelters, shattered the cooking pots, and broke the looms.
These were not acts of simple looting and pillaging, but calculated measures taken to impede the defeated tribe's ability to recover and potentially cause trouble in the future. The victors showed no mercy, no remorse, and no empathy for their defeated enemies. They were simply doing what was necessary to ensure their own survival and dominance.
This scene of ruthless violence, accompanied by the use of ancient technology and inventions, paints a gruesome picture of the brutal reality of tribal warfare in ancient times. The human capacity for violence and destruction knows no bounds, even in the absence of advanced technology.
