《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 122: The Item Hunt Begins

The Delver's Springs hut and its surrounding oasis were nothing more than a small dot in the distance as Zallino marched through the Dusty Dunes desert. Mimi trudged behind Zallino, muttering under her breath and kicking her feet through tiny dunes of sand.
"Man... this sucks why do we always get the sucky jobs?" Mimi muttered angrily under her breath.
"Because we are the most dexterous of our Lord's egos and visages, that is why," Zallino stated calmly. Mimi huffed angrily, crossed her arms and stopped on the spot.
"You just step over the spot," Zallino stated causing Mimi to instantly jump back from the spot; her swift movement disturb the sand beneath her feet and revealed the handle buried beneath the sand. Zallino stretched out like a grappling hook and latched onto the handle before he retracted his arm and pulled the trapdoor open.
"Did you get the materials from Zalina?" Zallino asked.
"Huh? I thought you got them.". Zallino unamusedly glanced up to see Mimi with a neutral expression but as Zallino stared at her her neutral facade slowly cracked. Mimi slowly cracked before she bursted into quiet giggling. Zallino rolled his eyes and hopped into the trapdoor.
"Come on you should've seen your fa-" Mimi said cheekily, but as she laughed a liquidly magisteel tendril wrapped around Mimi's ankle and hoisted her into the trapdoor. The trapdoor slammed shut and drew in sand to cover itself.
Zalina strolled over to the wooden fence separating the well from the rest of the room. Zalina peered into the well and sighed when she couldn't locate Lola or Yokuza.
"Alright...," Zalina uttered. Zalina turned to the groups but paused for a second before quickly doing a head count.
"Wait... where's the prince, princesses and Callie's kids?" Zalina asked causing Kusana to tap Zalina on the shoulder.
"They jumped into the well before the daughter of Zalroth did," Kusana stated monotonously. Zalina pressed her hands against her face and rubbed her cheeks while quietly groaning.
"Geez... no wonder she was so antsy to enter," Zalina remarked deflatedly while patting one of her cheeks.
Meanwhile, Lola excitedly gazed up at the bright clear blue sky and watched the watery effect wash over it as she stood on a floating walkable pale banana-yellow-coloured marble castle wall. Lola peeked over the edge of the castle wall and watched the hundreds of floating castle-textured marble chunks of various sizes and shapes floating below.

"This is so cool! It's like we got isamakaied," Lola cheered while bouncing on the spot.
"Isa... what?" Yokuza asked whilst having a lost expression plastered on his face. Lola darted her head at Yokuza and looked at him with a look of shock mixed with a hint of being offended.
"You know, those stories about people getting sent to other worlds," Lola exclaimed while wagging her tails.
"... ... ....".
"... ....".
The duo stared at each other in silence, and a drop of sweat formed on Lola's face as the two continued to immerse themselves in their awkward nerve-racking silence. Yokuza glanced upwards before he rolled his eyes to his left. Yokuza abruptly widened his eyes, causing Lola to flinch and her tails to stand on edge.
"Do you mean isekai?" Yokuza asked perplexedly. Lola happily smirked before shifting her smirk into a giddy smile.
"Heheh~ yeah that's what I meant," Lola said, with a giggle. Yokuza sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Alright...," Yokuza rubbed his eyes with one hand before he lowered his hand.
"Why did you drag me in here before that... kid finished what they were going to say?" Yokuza asked.
"Well... I saw Destiny and the others already entering and I was worried they'd find the thing Papa wanted me, Kunai, and Pama to find and then them-," Lola stated energetically as her face slowly turned blue before being cut off by Yokuza raising his hand in a stop gesture.
"Alright-alright I get it. You jumped the shark because of your fear they'd find whatever your dad wanted, right?" Yokuza asked as Lola was heavily panting for oxygen deprivation. Lola regained her normal skin complexion before nodding joyfully.
"Yep~".
"But why'd you drag me with you?". Lola mindlessly blinked and placed a finger over her bottom lip.
"I fogor I was holding your hand.". Yokuza raised a hand but lowered it, and defeatedly exhaled.
"Nevermind...," Yokuza uttered while ruffling his hair.
"So... you wanna tell me what you're looking for, so I can help?" Yokuza asked while holding his hand on his forehead. Lola nodded and she clasped her hands together before pale pink and golden dust gathered through her fingers. Lola swung her arms open and expanded the Memory Screen. (a pale pink and golden holographic screen made of dust) to the size of a laptop screen. Yokuza crouched down and looked at the weird small but long-looking bronze spear on the Memory Screen. (a long pale bronze polearm with a large spearhead with five razor-sharp shark-tooth-shaped spikes on each side of the spearhead's blade, it has an upside-down diamond-shaped hole in the middle of the spearhead, glowing spiral-like engraving (grey when not in use, and the colour of the current wielder's qi)

"You're looking for a pen-sized polearm?" Yokuza asked unamusedly. Lola looked confusedly at Yokuza before she lent over the Memory Screen. Lola glanced up from the Memory Screen and at Yokuza with an equally unamused expression.
"Papa said it was a multi-tool.".
"Oh... that makes more sense.". Yokuza rose to his feet, and Lola dispelled the Memory Screen.
"Ok... Papa said, in order to find The... Heartily Adjustment by angering... the pair of magic sand... erm," Lola muttered before trailing off course as she forgot the last part.
"Constructs?" Yokuza asked. Lola's ears perked up before she happily nodded.
"Yep, that's the word!" Lola happily proclaimed. Lola placed her hands on her and cheerfully smiled while Yokuza slowly looked from side to side.
"... you going to tell me how we're going to make these magic sand constructs show up?" Yokuza asked while side-eyeing Lola. Lola opened her mouth to speak; however, she could only make an eh noise as she mentally buffered. Lola double-slapped her face while quietly whimpering like a fox.
"Papa said he forgot how... so I should've asked Lady Lorida...," Lola murmured as she hung her head sombrely.
"And now we're in here with no idea how to summon it because of your impatience-". Yokuza was mid-sentence before Lola kicked him in the shin, which knocked Yokuza off balance and made him stumble sideways.
"Meanie! I was just-". Lola fluttered her ears before she looked around and realised Yokuza was gone.
"Down here!". Yokuza's voice echoed from below, and Lola hurried to the side of the floating castle wall. Lola poked her head over the side of the castle wall and saw Yokuza laying on another floating castle bridge.
"Why are you down there, Yozu?".
"Are you being rhetorical?" Yokuza asked coldly.
"Retor-what?" Lola asked as she cat hopped off the side of her castle wall and skydived down to Yokuza. Lola landed next to Yokuza as he stood up.
"Whatever, let's just find Princess Kara since she'll be able to find out the conditions for summoning those magic sand constructs, right?" Yokuza remarked. Lola's eyes lit up at Yokuza's suggestion and happily agreed. Yokuza closed his eye and focused his mana sense as far as he could spread it. Yokuza pointed towards the cluster of pale banana-yellow castle brick-textured marble acting as an island with a large cathedral made from the same yellow marble.
Lola excitedly raised her arms before she sprinted across the castle wall towards the nearest floating chunks of marble. Yokuza sighed and briskly jogged after Lola while thinking he could have just flown himself and Lola over to the cathedral.
On the original marble castle wall, two mini-tornadoes of pale yellow and dark platinum magic sand spiralled before forming into two humanoid figures: a young adult-sized male made from the pale banana-yellow magic sand and a kid-sized girl with eight arms (two in the normal place and the other six on their back) made from dark platinum magic sand. The magic constructs locked onto Lola and Yokuza and watched them as they raised for the marble cathedral.
"They look fun~ do you want to fight them now? The girl even broke the third rule," the dark platinum magic sand construct girl said with an over-the-top girly voice. The pale yellow magic sand construct crossed his arms.
"That rule only applies when attacking people from other parties," the yellow magic sand construct stated with a deep teenaged voice. The dark platinum magic sand construct led on the mini wall of the castle wall and placed her chin on the palms of her hands.
"But you're going to use that as an excuse to fight that guy, right?" the dark platinum magic sand construct remarked cheekily. The pale yellow magic sand construct smugly scoffed as he uncrossed his arms.
"You betcha," the pale yellow magic sand construct remarked cockily before he and the dark platinum magic sand construct bursted into clouds of sand and scattered into the wind.

Notebook of possibilities
First of all, to those who started reading this I want to apologize. While it does have a ring of a nice story title, this is going to be a place where I take the Sparks of interest from other stories or random ideas and just put it down, I'm not sure how exactly but the title should summarize the basics of what is held within. To say it's a waste isn't accurate, to ask the question why is a good start, why would I want this? Because when I read a story I want to think of so many things I may see or find in the world they envision, all the possibilities that could come about, and maybe, just maybe, some author out there can get their hands on this and it will be a spark of creativity for them to make a new chapter and see their world even a smidge closer to what I think it could be. It is tagged as fanfiction for it will pertain to numerous stories, not simply one in particular. Currently it will include; Oblivion Online Dungeon Heart And many more to be listed as they appear.
